Schmorge starts to pull out planks from his inventory at a rapid rate to attempt to block the door from the guards getting in.

Guard: Stop them!

Guard: "FREEZE SHARD"

Ariya was hit by the Freeze Shard and cannot move.

Padoru: ill cut them off from those three

Padoru: "FIREBALL"

Schmorge: Damn it!

Padoru: shit

Ariya: Ugh.

Padoru: Schmorge grab her

Padoru: we gotta run

Ariya: I can't move.

Ariya: Just leave me.

Schmorge slams and smashes a window with his sledge hammer.

Ariya: This was all my fault anyways.

Schmorge starts to construct a ramp to the window and a ramp down to the ground from the window.

Padoru: nobody gets left behind

Schmorge: Slide down the ramp. It might give you splinters, but it's the best way.

Padoru: good plan

Ariya is literally stuck to the floor. 

Padoru: Schmorge help me get her up

Schmorge: Fireball her leg? She's frozen to the floor.

The guard tackles down the blockade in one swoop.

Padoru: perhaps i could use a small, controlled fireball to defrost it?

The guard stands in between Pad and Ariya.

Guard: You're not getting away.

Pad slams his fist into the guard's chest. The guard catches his fist before pad's fist could even reach his fist.

Padoru: 

Schmorge: "LANDMINE"

The mine explodes leaving a big smoke screen between the two parties. The guard drags ariya away in the confusion. Pad and Schmorge coughed through the smoke. 

Padoru: ariya nooooooooooo

Schmorge: There's no time! We can't do anything now.

Padoru: we have to save her

Schmorge: We do, but we don't have the strength.

Schmorge: Live to fight another day, or die doing nothing.

Once the smoke clears, the guard and ariya is nowhere to be found.

Schmorge: Which do you choose?

Padoru: if we leave her here then we just traded a life for a life

Schmorge: And if we stay here, we'll lose 3.

Padoru: FUCK!

Schmorge: Those fuckers move fast.

Padoru: im heading after her

Padoru: i won't let anyone be left behind

Pad runs back into the mansion to save Ariya. Schmorge is left alone.

Schmorge: I've got no offensive spells, just defensive, and my only weapon is the sledgehammer.

Schmorge: I'm a fucking support, dammit!

Schmorge: Fine, fuck it!

Schmorge chases after Pad back into the mansion. After a while, Schmorge manages to catch up to Pad because Pad doesn't know where they took Ariya.

Padoru: schmorge we run in, grab her before anyone notices, and sprint the fuck out of here

Schmorge: Hey, I've got these graphite rocks, throw these as you cast Fireball. They'll burn very hot.

Padoru: thanks, i'll keep that in mind

Schmorge hands over ten graphite rocks to Pad.

Padoru: thank you

Padoru: damn that fucker was quick, where could they be

Schmorge and Padoru stopped at the end of the hallway which leads into the basement.

Schmorge: In here, I guess?

They enter the basement slowly and instantly get hit with the smell of dead fish.

Padoru: this smell

Schmorge: Fish?

Padoru: it's terrible

Schmorge: Worse than me.

Padoru: that's saying something

As they approach the floor of the basement, they look around their surroundings. Pad can spot a jail cell-like structure with iron bars.

Padoru: iron bars, i could use that as a weapon perhaps

Schmorge: If I can crack off a section of rusted bar, we might be able to use that as a spear.

Padoru: good idea

Guard: (in the distance) And stay right there!

Padoru: shit schmorge

Schmorge: hide!

Padoru jumps into the nearest barrel he could find. Schmorge doing the same.

Guard: Can't wait until your pretty face gets chopped off.

The guard locks the basement door from the outside and walks up the stairs. Leaving both of them trapped in the basement.

Padoru: it looks clear

Schmorge: looks like it is

Schmorge: See any rusted bars?

Padoru: none ... fuck

Schmorge: No spear, then.

Padoru: whatever, let's just get in there and take her out.

Schmorge: I'll lead, I seem to be faster and will be able to escape if there's anyone left over.

Padoru: good plan

Schmorge whacks his sledgehammer into the basement door, hoping to break it down. The sledgehammer breaks instead. 

Schmorge: Fuck.

Schmorge: Graphite reinforced fireball?

Padoru: perhaps

Schmorge: Any other options?

Schmorge: If you've got any lock picks, I might be able to open it up.

Padoru: i dont know that i do

Padoru: shit what do we do

Schmorge: Think I can use landmine to explode the door?

Padoru: but that would alert the guards

Schmorge: eeyup

Schmorge: See any sewer grates?

Padoru: hmmm

Schmorge: That'll be our way out.

Padoru: perhaps a light explosion will do the trick? something not too loud

Schmorge: Hey, could you stand back a bit?

Schmorge: Need room to run.

Schmorge runs and tackles the basement door down, falling flat on his face.

Schmorge: ow

Padoru: looks like we got through

Schmorge and Pad sneaked around the floor looking for Ariya.

Schmorge: Ariya!

There was no response.

Padoru: shit

The pair could spot some objects around them like a scalpel and some scissors on a wooden table. There was also a chair that had metal cuffs on its arms and legs. Also some pools of dried blood gathered on the floor in puddles. 

Schmorge: What do

Padoru: we have to do something

Schmorge: Think they took her out?

The pair hears faint crying in the distance. Curious, they both follow the noise. They can hear a voice behind a half wall.

Ariya: I'm such a failure.

Padoru: Ariya?

Padoru: where is she

They both examine the half wall. It is about nine feet from the ground and blocks the whole corridor off. Schmorge touches the wall carefully and realizes that there is a weird substance on the wall. He starts taking damage. They realize the wall is poisoned.

Padoru: do u have something we can throw at it

Schmorge: No, but you do.

Schmorge: If it's a cement wall, heat will break down the limestone in the cement.

Padoru: could the rocks break it 

Schmorge: What's your strength stat?

Padoru: four

Schmorge: Higher than mine.

Padoru: do u think this could work

Schmorge: Dunno.

Ariya: I'm so dumb.

Padoru: let's try then

Schmorge: Maybe we could crawl on the ceiling? I've got decent dex.

Pad throws some stones at the poisoned wall. The stones bounce back at Pad.

Padoru: shit

Padoru: we go for your plan

Schmorge is looking around for anything to climb upon.

Padoru: could we move the torture tables and stand on them

Schmorge: Let's try.

Schmorge: This is a puzzle if I've ever seen one.

Padoru: yup

Schmorge: I'll touch the pointy bits.

Schmorge: If one of us has to.

Schmorge starts to move the tables around towards the poisoned wall. He starts to take damage from the pointy spikes on the table.

Schmorge: Health is nice to have... but it still hurts.

Schmorge: Ow.

The pair hear a clicking noise from above them.

Schmorge: shit

Padoru: what was that

Schmorge: a lock

Schmorge: Where'd the click come from?

Padoru: hmmm

Padoru: see anything?

Schmorge: With any luck, that click was the wall dropping or something.

Padoru: hopefully
