In the not-too-distant future, America is transported, by means unknown, to another world. Loriath teems with monsters, magic and fantasy. In the great deserts, the four-armed serpent-men rule a vast domain and clash bitterly with the feline rakshasa of the Kesharan jungles. The Empire of Morghast continues a grinding campaign of expansion and subjugation against the woodland Dryad Kingdom, while the Sultanate of Jal-Hadar teeters on the brink of civil war. The Dwarves of the Under-Realm rule a great subterranean empire, while in the far north, the Dark Elves of Sarnath hold sway over a land of freezing tundra and fiery volcanoes, to name but a few. The oceans teem with sea serpents, mermaids and krakens. Griffins, manticores, chimeras and many other creatures soar through the sky. And the few remaining dragons slumber in the deep places of the world.
What impact will America, and all its economic, military and technological might, have upon this world? How will it shape Loriath, and be shaped by it in turn? Will it remain true to its ideals or cast them aside? Will its technology prove greater than magic, or will it be overwhelmed by the sorcerous might of the foes who begin gathering against it?
***IMPORTANT*** This work is inspired by pieces such as "Summoning America," but this is not a fanfiction or spin-off of "Summoning Japan." The factions, characters, and world in which this story takes place are entirely of my own making. I want to do something fresh and new with the idea, and that is what I aim to accomplish. I am also now on Royal Road. Link: https://www.royalroad.com/profile/543435
The novel itself is pretty good. Brings a new twist when you read a Summon Nation genre. The writing quality is good, the characters are deeply entrenched, and even the side characters, even for a lizard, are heavily detailed and shows the care of the author and the novel. I like it. And how realistic the situation-ish is for a U.S. In another world will be seems a lot more appropriate than many other novels. As such, it's pretty good, and I want to see more. Thank you for the chapter, by the way.
