Everything happened really fast. Ace dragged Harem God back to their base and they packed all their belongings. Then they loaded the car that was ready since who knows when and drove out of the city. Of course, they didn’t forget to erase their traces. Ace not only burned the cinema, but also the whole area where the had demon died.

Harem God couldn’t tell how they had done it, but the fire only started when the city was already out of sight. Only the smoke of fire remained as the last memory of his birth city. His gaze lingered for a long time on the disappearing city he had heard so many stories from, before he finally looked ahead again. Even though he had lived there for the longest time of his life, and didn’t have any strong attachments to it, he still traveled through half the country in the hope that his older brother was there.

The cracked road made the whole trip a bumpy ride, nonetheless, Harem God fell asleep as soon as he fell into the seat. He had nothing to worry about. The chickens were all safely in their cages cuddled together and he himself didn’t have to drive or be on alert for dangers. After all, the two men in the front seats were a lot stronger than him, whether he wanted to admit it or not.

Zzzz…

Jiushi looked back in surprise, when he checked the backseat. “Harem fell asleep just like this.”

“Oh. That’s rather unexpected.”

“Mn?” Jiushi blinked at him. “What do you mean? He’s so simple, he could sleep even in the middle of a siege.”

“Not that.” Ace kept down his chuckling to not wake Harem God. “Don’t you think he’s rather obedient today? He didn’t ask us any questions regarding the Scouter nor did he make a fuss about leaving the city. Did he finally grow out of his rebellious phase?”

“Mn, that would be nice if it was true.” Jiushi looked out the window, “And where do you plan to go now? The legacy already vanished from that city and we have no compass to guide us.”

Ace didn’t answer so Jiushi continued.

“We can’t remain here forever. They need us in Agnostos…”

“I know. For now, let’s find a safe place to hide first.”

They drove for hours until Ace stopped the car. The sky already dawned and Harem God, who woke up in the middle of the ride, was anticipating a stop.

Finally, don’t you monsters need a break?!

He jumped off the car once the wheels came to a standstill and rushed off to a quiet corner to relieve himself.

“Was it really necessary to drive nonstop throughout the night?” Jiushi questioned Ace as he stretched his tired body. They unloaded the cages with the poultry from the car and Sin unsurprisingly freed himself as soon as he was put down to the ground. From the direction he ran off to they could tell that he went to check on Harem God.

“You know how persistent those Scouters are and Harem God is spilling out magic energy like an air humidifier, they would have found us in no time. I wanted to find a place where his aura blends into the environment as fast as possible.”

“We can simply suppress his aura,” Jiushi retorted.

“I tried it once but failed,” Ace admitted.

Jiushi put down the last cage. “You haven’t told me that before. When did that happen?”

Ace confessed, “It happened after our first fight. You ran off and—“

There was no need to explain anymore, Jiushi motioned Ace to stop. He didn’t want to be reminded of the embarrassing incident and his silly jealousy. Furthermore, he could rhyme together what had happened.

“So you had done it that one time because you wanted to shield me from his massive aura to avoid a resonance backlash, but you failed.”

“Correct, my Momo is the best. I’m just glad our spiritual essences are compatible or you might have suffered.” Ace wanted to casually hug Jiushi, but Harem God and Sin came back at that moment and Jiushi shoved his face away.

“Harem, we’re going to live in that house for now.”

Ace pointed to the small two-story building behind them with a big ‘SOLD’ sign in front. Its outer facade looked rather new unlike the other houses in these suburbs. It probably had been freshly built and the new owners still had to move in. They went in and luckily found the house full-equipped with furniture even though they had accumulated a lot of dust.

Harem God squinted his eyes at the dust bunnies under the sofa and went out to get his stuff from the car. His travel bag was surprisingly filled with cleaning utensils and medical masks. He threw a few gloves at Ace and Jiushi, then pulled over his hoodie and even put on a face visor over his mask. They didn’t expect him to be a clean freak, but they soon found out that his get-up was not unfounded.

For the next four hours, it was nothing but cleaning. Jiushi was 1,80m tall and responsible for the spiderwebs and windows in the higher places. He really wished he had a complete head protection too, as dust and dirt kissed him more than once in the face. Ace chuckled when he saw his dirt-smeared face, that was until karma bit him back and he accidentally stuck an ant liar in the wall. His fire ability was then used to fumigate the whole house, which took another two hours.

“I’ve never felt this helpless ever since I awakened,” Jiushi complained when they sat down for belated lunch. It was a completely new experience for him to fight with ants, that didn’t try to eat him but were just as annoying.

Harem God in the meanwhile stuffed in one sandwich after the other.

“At least the house is finally clean.” Ace still felt the nightmare from all the parasites fleeing from the house. Living beings from the other side felt fear for the strong and usually didn’t dare to get near them. Insects on earth were just…dumb. They couldn’t perceive magic and their instincts were primitive; Fleeing only when danger was already beside them.

Harem God looked at the two, gulped down his food with some water, then wrote down something on a piece of paper, that he got used to carry along ever since he began cohabitating with them.

—Still need to stock on supplies

—Make a fence

Without spending time to explain, the young man rushed off to find food and materials to repair the damaged fence around the lawn and build a new chicken coop. He couldn’t always let his feathered companions roam around unprotected and the house was too small to keep them inside.

When he came back, the other two finished fixing holes and arranging the rooms in the house. Building a simple house for the chicken and ducks was also finished in no time with two additional pairs of helping hands.

“Harem, dinner is ready,” Jiushi called him but got no response. The sun didn’t even set, yet Harem God already fell asleep on the sofa.

Jiushi turned to Ace, “He fell asleep again.”

The older male took a look at Harem God, “He’s just like a child that got tired after playing too much.”

“You call a full-grown testosterone-spilling magic storage a child?” Jiushi seriously questioned Ace’s eyes.

“Yeah. Anyway, let’s eat first and set aside his share. He worked hard today.”

“Mn.”

The two finished their dinner and went upstairs into their room. Yes, their room. Ace insisted on sharing a room with Jiushi and the latter had to give in after he got a load of crappy pro arguments told one after another. As soon as they closed the door…

Mmn~”

Ace took away Jiushi’s breath and unbuttoned his trousers as he nipped on Jiushi’s neck.

NngStop it, Ace…”

“Why?” Ace slowly whispered into Jiushi’s already flushed ear. The latter’s shirt was slowly opened button for button until a fair and lean muscular chest was exposed. Ace glided his broad palm over the crevices between the trained packs that had small, nearly invisible scars. In the next moment, Jiushi felt himself carried to the bed and pinned down by a heavy body. His trousers were thrown in the corner of oblivion. Jiushi seemed already tempted judging from his semi-erection, but his gaze minded the door more than once.

“The kid is sleeping. Nobody’s going to disturb us,” Ace assured as he kissed the furrow between Jiushi’s eyebrows.

The latter peeked out with one eye and rumbled, “You make it sound like we’re the parents of such a big manchild…”

Shh. Don’t kill the mood.” Ace unbuckled his belt and stripped off his shirt with one hand. He purposely posed his groin and abs in front of Jiushi to stimulate his lust.

“You star—nnng” the prideful, yet lovable younger man felt his body heating up under the passionate kiss of the other. The hamper of being walked in by Harem God was already drained by the groaning of the two…

tiaf: Are you guys playing house?

Harem God: F*ck no.

Jiushi: —No comment—

Ace: Maybe.

tiaf: Who is who?

Ace: I'm the dad and Harem is the child. Jiushi is—

Harem God: *takes a katana out of nowhere*

Jiushi: *swirls around stones in his palm*

Jiushi: Don't you dare complete the sentence.
