Off to the Orient lay a massive ocean that separated the bellies of the great continents of Eurasia and the Americas. In between the global juggernauts that were the United States of America and the People's Republic of China was a state home to 120 million people and the world's third largest economy.

But things often don't go as hoped.

The nation of Japan suddenly wakes up to the heavens above them having been rewritten in what seemed like divine premonition. A familiar, yet otherwise alien world awaited them beyond the shores that had kept them safe. As the vices of globalization threatened to wreck havoc and condemn the Japanese state into obscurity, it was up to newly elected Prime Minister Takamori Hideaki and his administration to face this challenge of epic proportions.

Paying homage to みのろう's Summoning Japan (Nihonkoku Shoukan, NHS) as a fan-made work, this story will also follow Japan, but explores a completely different world. Now helmed by a named Prime Minister, Japan will wade the murky waters of the new world as it struggles to come to terms with its issues.

In South East Asia, there exists a nation of over 17,000 islands strategically placed between the Indian and Pacific Ocean. This country, named the Republic of Indonesia, is a regional power which has enjoyed the period of global peace in the early 21st century.

However, as Indonesia approaches its 80th independence day in 2025, the country is suddenly transported to another world much different from the Earth that the nation is familiar with. This developing nation now has to deal with new challenges and survive in this new world without any help from the developed countries of Earth.

With no satellites, a limited military force, and the lack of the more advanced technologies enjoyed by developed nations such as America and Japan, will this young and fledgling nation survive and establish its place in this unfamiliar world or be another nation simply reduced to texts in the history books?

After twenty-five years of preparation, the light-wings descended and the sky turned dark for a moment. A short yet violent war ensued, with the Ravernals eventually being forced to flee by both organic and machine. The victory came with a cost though, as many cities were left in ruins. Calm followed for three decades, the Contingency's vast industrial capacity lending it to be an economic power, and its airtight security letting it hold international summits between world leaders.

Learning of the sorcerers' next target, the gods spoke to the pantheon of Aelna and came to the conclusion that the AI will be sent there to slay them once and for all. This new world had fantastical beasts, powerful magic and a wide variety of cultures and nations. It would have made peaceful relations with the rest of the nations, warned them about the threat and prepared alongside them for the final fight.

Of course, this didn't happen. In a legendary display of Murphy's Law, the summoning process goes horrifically wrong. Vital blueprints gone, critical infrastructure shattered and its army a shadow of its former self. Arkon must now recover its power and navigate its way through this very minor wrench in its plans.
How will the machine and its legions adapt to the new world? How will they change the events of history?

This story is based off of Summoning Japan by Minorou, but will diverge from its plot considerably.
