Essentially this is a spinoff of Mapleshade's Vengeance because that was just tragic and I liked the idea of exploring how afterlives worked. I wanted to explore the idea of a character finding their way into StarClan, a *nice* afterlife, after they ended up in the Dark Forest first. I realise that later Warriors books *have* said that there can be a court to decide who gets into StarClan but respectfully that's boring and my idea's better.

Troublekit of ThunderClan has been a traitor since the moment he was born. Or at least, he has been according to SOME STUPID FOX-HEARTS WHO... more>> WOULDN'T KNOW LOYALTY IF IT BROKE INTO CAMP AND SHREDDED THEIR NESTS WHILE THEY WERE IN THEM.
Him and his littermates, Runtkit and Rascalkit, are the kits of Snowpetal and Heatclaw. Their father was declared a traitor after he died (protecting his Clan, I might add!) and some of their Clanmates take it out on his kits.
But other than the bullying from the deputy and the leader's kit, Troublekit lives a basically normal life in ThunderClan. That is, until his sister, Runtkit, dies, and his brother starts acting strange and decides to become a medicine cat. Troublepaw decides to find out what's happening — but he might be better off not knowing.
All thunder is preceded by striking lightning... But what is ThunderClan preceded by?
