A young tom by the name of Troutpaw's life changes when he meets Strong and her kit Wise, two abandoned kittypets left to fend for... more>> themselves, and brings them to WindClan. A foolish dare between two WindClan apprentices sparks a war with RiverClan, and Troutpaw must prove not only himself, but Strongpath and Wisepaw. One question haunts his mind: Is it worth it?
Stonelion, a RiverClan queen, was spared, along with her unborn kits, by the same WindClan cat who killed her mate. As the war begins, she must somehow care for her kits, avenge her mate, and protect a dark secret... All at once.
Wisepaw never wanted to join a Clan, but now that she has, she never wants to leave. However, the war with RiverClan strains even the loyalties of Clanborn cats, and nobody seems to want her and her mother there. Worst of all, the cat who brought them to WindClan, the tom she fell in love with, seems to agree.
