Who are the rulate site bastards and as a fallow authors how can I protect myself form them?
Rulate is a Russian site where people translate originals, fanfics illegally, lock the chapters behind a paywall, even the free released fanfics chs are locked behind a paywall. They never ask for the author's permission. All you can do is go to the site and search for your book name (Sometimes they change the book name to avoid trouble) or search your author's name.
if your work is there, contact the translator, just let them know or the admin know and they will remove it after giving you excuses. They will try to sway you with money and exposure, remember it's an illegal site.
