A guide to how I rate stories:
1 Star - I didn't like it and I felt it was poorly executed all around.
2 Stars - I didn't like it. However, I think those that do like it will find this story well executed.
3 Stars - I liked it but, it needs work.
4 Stars - I liked it and thought it was well done!
5 Stars - This story should be published and sold in all major bookstores around the globe! Seriously, professional job and a bangin story!
If I left a glowing review, but only rated 3 stars, it is because the story was in the first person narrative. Most of the time, this just isn't going to work as it is only a matter of time before they MC does something that generates cognitive disassociation and throws me out of the story. Odds are, a glowing review would have resulted in 4 stars had it been in the 3rd person instead.
