Knock, knock, knock! "Open up! Don't you want to? Okay!" 'The sound of paper.' An envelope was pushed through the door. Unfolding it, you see the inscription: "Remember, mortal, from the 31st to the 1st, YOU must write a chapter."
Please tell me what's going on? The previous chapter was already about 6 months and 9 days old. Your last message was 3 months and 12 days old. I understand that you are most likely having a creative crisis, but it would be great if you noted at least once a month how you are doing and whether there is progress.
Yeah, what's going on is, while I do have major plot events and lore somehow figured out, I find it extremely difficult to progress through the story itself while keeping it interesting, entertaining, and consistent. That includes the chapter by chapter events, dialogue, the characters' interaction with each other, and some other stuff. I rather read someone else's work.
Squeezing out chapters is more of a chore than fun, kinda like grindy games. Since I'm doing it as a hobby for fun, I guess I won't be writing anytime soon until it naturally comes again instead of having to force it out. In short, hiatus.
I am enjoying your demon lord story. Your writing is better than most on this site. For instance, you've hinted at a larger plot without giving too much away or smacking us in the face with it, while it was impossible to miss it was still handled with finesse.
