Oh, and I write. Have a book I'm working on.
People give a lot of shit to wish fulfillment novels, but I quite like them, even if that says something bad about me.
My problem with them comes in when they're poorly written or too obviously wish fulfillment, instead of just really cool.
I've read my whole life, and I feel I was inspired to write - ironically - by bad authors. I'd read something, and every time I encountered a mistake, and just was weirded out by it, it gave me confidence. If they can put stuff out there, why can't I? If they can make mistakes, why can't I? I see their mistakes, I can learn from them. Be better. Be more popular.
Plus I really love to write. That always helps.

I have dropped a novel I started writing on a whim, based on another story. Then I realized it was not sustainable.
I refuse to make the same mistake twice.
