"Dragon lords, who can liquefy stone with dragon flame and reshape it, have used their magic to make Dragonstone resemble multiple dragons." This is the text I took from a wiki page and it forms the basis of my idea.

Wraithhunter101 · Jan 29, 2025

Yep so the question GRRM is did they reshape it will molds or spells which is up to interpretation.

Belaegon · Jan 29, 2025

I think they made the stones using molds. However, I believe that the molds had a protrusion on the bottom and a corresponding cavity on the top to fit this protrusion. This way, they could stack them on top of each other, making people think the wall was made from a single piece. Moreover, when the stones were fitted together, they could pour the liquefied stone into the cavity to act like cement, ensuring the stones wouldn’t collapse, and then let it cool.

I didn’t quite understand what you meant earlier, could you clarify a bit? I just checked, and the dragonlord who took an army from Qohor is named Aurion. His dragon’s name is unknown. As for the black stone, I’m thinking of making it something similar to Valyrian steel, with certain houses knowing the formula.

I believe that the Valyrians created Blackstone by mixing obsidian, also known as dragonglass, with other stones in a specific ratio, melting it in dragonfire, and then pouring it into molds. In fact, to make it resistant to dragonfire, they might have added the bones or blood of a Firewyrm.

Dragonstone is made entirely of Blackstone that was shaped by tapping into the power of the volcano. It's noted to be one solid mass built with intricate detail and molded like clay then frozen in place into near indestructible stone. The only place I know of that has black stone not near a volcano is the black wall of volantis.

The only place I know of that has black stone not near a volcano is the black wall of volantis. The problem wth the blackstone molds theory is that the Blackstone of Dragonstone isn't made in segmented blocks but a solid mass as if it was lifted out of the earth and frozen into shape.

Wraithhunter101 · Jan 28, 2025

Though to be fair perhaps they were segmented and then melted  and reshaped to look like a solid mass so I suppose your version works too. Though with how much material dragons tone is made from I don't think fire wyrm bones were added it would not be cost effective for the size and amount.

When the Targaryens learned of this, they could not do anything because Balerion was too old to travel such a long distance, and Meraxes and Caraxes could not stand against Vernax. Thus, the situation remained unresolved.

Wraithhunter101 · Jan 28, 2025

Fascinating Idea, were the records of these houses kept from the citadel? Knowledge of surviving dragon lords right after the doom of Valyria seem limited. I'm sure house targaryen kept knowledge of any rivals a secret.

Belaegon · Jan 28, 2025

They attempted to trade the formula for the black stone (used in building Dragonstone) with the Targaryens in exchange for dragon eggs, but the Targaryens refused.

When Vernax grew old and was nearing death, the first scenario I described earlier took place. Six individuals stole dragon eggs and fled to Elyria.

In 79 BC, before Aegon’s Conquest, the lineage of Daemir’s children with Jaenara died out, leaving the descendants of Daenora as the sole rulers of everything. Over the years, House Belaerys did not possess any dragon eggs, which meant they could not hatch new dragons

Belaegon · Jan 28, 2025

As a result, unrest began in Mantarys. Vaenas’ sister-wife, Daenora, offered to marry Daemir and allow him to claim Mantarys if he quelled the unrest. Daemir accepted the offer, restored order to the city, and married Daenora. From then on, Daemir’s children with his cousin Jaenara governed the island of Elyria, while his children with Daenora ruled Mantarys.

Belaegon · Jan 28, 2025

This dragonlord’s dragon was stronger than the dragons of both Daemir and Vaenas, forcing them to submit to his authority. The dragonlord set out for the ruins of Valyria, taking Vaenas with him since his dragon was more powerful. However, Vaenas never returned.

Belaegon · Jan 28, 2025

Thanks to the farmland Daemir developed, he provided most of the food supplies needed by both his own people and the mining and smithing city of Mantarys. This created a bond of friendship between him and Vaenas.

Years later, when the Doom of Valyria occurred, an unnamed dragonlord arrived with an army from Qohor
Belaegon · Jan 28, 2025

On these lands, he allowed the establishment of new noble houses, which attracted many people of Valyrian descent who were not yet of noble status (and their numbers were significant).

During this time, the city of Mantarys was ruled by Vaenas of House Dracersion, the rider of a male dragon named Taraxen.
Belaegon · Jan 28, 2025
A man named Daemir, who was the rider of a male dragon called Vernax, married Jaenara, who was not a dragon rider. Since his dragon was young and weak, he was sent to govern the small island of Elyria for the Free People of Valyria. While governing the island, Daemir worked hard for the people and earned their favor. He even cultivated the unused lands along the road connecting Oros and Mantarys, turning them into farmland

Hello brother, after a long time. I only found time to talk to you now due to my long busy schedule. I want to talk to you about the new ideas that come to my mind about the house of Belaerys. I would be happy if you express your thoughts about these ideas. I even want to talk about some of the new house names I have found. I would appreciate it if you could write down any household names or person names that come to your mind regarding these new household names.

Belaegon · Jan 15, 2025

Thank you, brother. I wrote it as a web novel; so many people saw it, but only two people helped at one point.

Wraithhunter101 · Jan 15, 2025

"My sibling, may I ask you for a favor? As you know, I use artificial intelligence for translation. However, sometimes AI writes what it considers appropriate instead of what I intended. Although I have asked others, they don't point out the mistakes to me. Could you review the story and let me know where the errors are?"
