Yay, another update.
So, that rewrite (again). I ended up getting started on it. The first part of chapter 1 (so the first post of 4-5k words) has been redone, mostly rewritten and changed to match my current style. Much happier with the result. Now I just have the mammoth task of going through the remaining 135k words and fixing up the formatting (trad. novel --> webnovel) and making changes as needed.
The question though is how to do present it. Do I repost the whole novel, or just update the entries for the current version (this would be my preference I think, and I'd annotate updated chapters as [revised]). Once I have relooked at the whole first chapter (both parts), I will post that, and probably go back to finishing the arc for Soul Flames. Going through all of DW is going to take some time, but I do want the better version of chapter 1 out there.
Most of the changes won't have an adverse effect on what I wrote later, and a number of the changes post the first half of it are for flow/style/cosmetic. The only one thus far that could have an impact is Dragon Kin --> dracokin, though after the first chapter they barely turn up at all (I couldn't remove them though due to their tie in with the plot).
Any insight on all of this would be appreciated.
And, with respect to Soul Flames, arc 4.5 is at 30k words now, with (hopefully) 1 chapter to go. I have also commissioned some art for Ueana, though I don't know exactly when it'll be done. Not sure if I post stuff once complete, or wait for the art.
I am looking forward to getting back to writing about Crystal/Rachael and the others (though the whole rewrite thing will be haunting me at the same time. We shall see).

Been discussing it, and it's looking like it's more likely to happen than not, though as to when I still don't know. It'll be a lot of work, and not something that I am looking forward to at all. Reread that first chapter, and yeah, not by best writing at all, so it needs to be done.
There are a number of things that I want/need to change, but then it is a matter of getting it all to work, and fitting it all in to what is written. I only want to fix up the earlier chapters, and not the whole thing, as that would be a mammoth task that I will not do, and the latter writing isn't that bad. Just the beginning.
I am flattered though that so many people have managed to make their way through the book and have enjoyed it.
Given that I have finished the story, and I have a new batch of characters, I have moved away a little from the original cast (and they have changed quite a bit, as those who have read Soul Flames will well know).
Though, as it is a prequel to Soul Flames, which I think is the better story (at least writing wise), it will effect the readership of it (though the first part at the least of Soul Flames can be read independently).
I think that's it for this little spiel ^^
Just a small update. The arc that I am currently writing is going well. Perhaps a little too much so. It's now sitting at 22k, with a bit still to go, so instead of labelling it as a side arc, I have changed it to arc 4.5 (since it still is all from Ueana's POV). The plan is still to post it in quick succession once I have it done.

11k words into the next story arc, which is a side arc focusing on Ueana. Once it is finished I'll post it all over a few days. Due to (good) changes in circumstances, writing is going somewhat slower at the moment, not to mention that I'm still on a pseudo break at the moment (though I am still writing during it it seems ^^).
I have finished writing chapter 67 of Soul Flames, and with that the fourth arc is complete.
The plan at this stage is to release all of the remaining chapters over the next few days and then after that I will be taking a break from writing for a bit. Over the last 7 months I have written around 270k words, as well as working full time. I've enjoyed doing it, but I am at a point where I need to put it aside for a while and focus on other areas that have been neglected. Other hobbies, and life.
I do have a long list of things that I still need to write about, so I will definitely be penning some more once I am ready to resume again.
Just a heads up to anyone that might be following, that I have started to write Book 2 of Dawn Weaver, and have almost finished writing the first story arc (which is sitting at around 30k words). Not sure when I will start posting it yet, as I wanted to get well into arc two before I do so, as well as go back and give it a good edit.
Writing is a little more webnovel friendly this time - no massive paragraphs, and the chapters sit neatly between 2-3k each (mostly).
