Kerry Ann Boyko is a middle-aged, late-bloomer (egg cracked at 43) trans woman. After Trump's election, she's moved temporarily to Merída, Yucatán, Mexico and hopes to eventually make her way back to London. TERF Island sucks, but she loved the city and has friends there. Alternatively, if she can get remote work, Merída has excellent trans healthcare.

I'm writing a novel about Vampires in Las Vegas.

I named it: "This Book Has A Shit Ton Of Vampires In It" (and yes, I play on that theme.)

But I came up with a name for a sequel that's so good I can't help but write it!

"Card Dead: Another Book With A Shit Ton Of Vampires In It"

If you wanted to hear the first chapter of "We Interrupt This Transition" as an audiobook, here's your chance!

Howdy y'all. I know it's been a while since I posted - I'm working on writing STOV chapter 10, promoting WITT's commercial launch *AND* applying for jobs. But progress has been made.

If any of you know anyone or even is just in contact with someone you think has some social media clout and would like WITT, I have some promo codes to give away free digital copies on Itch.io - kerry [dot] ann [dot] boyko [dot] author [at] tuta [dot] com is my e-mail address.

While it's a little dissapointment, family obligations have prevented me from meeting with the publisher. So I'm self-publishing the digital version of the 2nd edition of WITT on Itch.IO, and the hardcopy version on Kindle Direct Publishing. (Hate Amazon, but they really are the only game in town for this.)

OMG, I just realized the acronym for "Fix-A-Kid Ranch" - the story about a con job, is literally "FAKR"

UnrealisticJade · Feb 11, 2025

accidental acronyms are the best kind :ο

Hey everyone. I know I'm not writing much, but that's because I'm *editing!*

Don't worry, I haven't dropped off the map.

Cabbitgurl · Feb 4, 2025

No worries, go as you need to

Cabbitgurl · Feb 4, 2025

You matter most of all, and editing takes a long time, it's why I'm grateful for my editors because I'd be lost without them

KayAyBee · Author · Jan 19, 2025

Oooh! I'm a rising author! (whatever that means)

UnrealisticJade · Jan 19, 2025

based on the titles i've seen on other authors of Well-Known Author and Famous Author (the latter is a bit stretched compared to what most people would call famous in general, but i digress) it probably means you're gaining popularity/recognition/etc

btw congration

Think I might write a Dorley Fic as a palette cleanser.

UnrealisticJade · Jan 17, 2025

*hasn't caught up with the official series* ooh yes pls

UnrealisticJade · Jan 19, 2025

bwuh

KayAyBee · Author · Jan 17, 2025

Oof. Considering abandoning "This Book Has A Shit Ton Of Vampires" - no comments whatsoever, no notes, no nothing. I don't know if it's just because it's an overdone genre or what.

i thought i was the only one,, yay i'm not alone

KayAyBee · Author · Jan 17, 2025

Oh! Okay! Didn't know Scribblehub was like, Trans-Lit central. Maybe I should try Wattpad or something?

marter · Jan 17, 2025

I almost exclusively read trans stories. Usually MTF. Then, if I find an author I like, I will try their non trans stories but they take a back seat to the other stories

UnrealisticJade · Jan 18, 2025

an attempt at advice from a girl who's never released any kind of content in her life: start with something else - if wattpad or something else, probably witt, but if ao3, dorleys might also be a safe bet since it did start there...? if you start with tbhastov (long acronym moment) it might still get minimal engagement? idk just throwing my musings out there in the hope they're helpful

hunh, turns out that if you want to get comments, you need to actually write and post something.

HiriaDunning · Jan 16, 2025

Hope you're doing ok. I imagine it can't be easy right now.

I am. Merída is nice. I was having a rough time yesterday, but it was also day-before-shot day. Started seeing a therapist. And started making friends who speak a little English, and my Spanish is getting... somewhat better. Enough that people know I don't speak Spanish, but they know I'm trying. :)

Updates on WITT and reuploaded Dorley Girls

KayAyBee · Author · Nov 17, 2024

There's some updates on #WITT for those who are interested.

Starting to look more like Merida, Yucatan might be the best solution.

yesthattabitha · Nov 2, 2024

Where ever you end up, if you have to flee, I wish you the best of luck.

I will be staying and fighting.  I have no choice as I have a moral obligation to myself to do so.  I am ALSO a stop the Rainbow Railroad for anyone fleeing north through Chicagoland if that becomes a thing.  DM for details

Howdy everyone! Sorry if I'm keeping you waiting on Chapter 10 of "We Interrupt This Transition" but it's probably one of the biggest and most complicated chapters so far.

I'm also in the middle of a bunch of stuff - I have to assume there's a 50/50 chance of a Trump win, and if so I've decided I'm not going to take my chances, I'm just going to leave the U.S. for the proverbial "any port" in a storm. Likely going to be looking at Mexico City or someplace in Costa Rica.

marter · Oct 9, 2024

Take all the time you need!

I'm worried about that, too.
