Writing really is my life, my vocation, the thing I feel like I was born to do (Figure of speech! I'm not saying I believe in fate or anything.) So for the longest time I've not really thought of myself as working too much, or risking burnout. I don't feel burnt out, after all! But now I realise that if I don't take care, I could burn out, and that would be terrible. So! It's my intent to always be as consistent as I can, even if it's every so slightly less frequent.

Katalepsis is currently approaching the end of Book One - which is really a whole complete story in its own right. When I started it I had no idea if it would get many readers, so I structured things around the idea of a possible second book, if anybody was interested, but it wasn't essential.

And well, I have plenty of readers now, so Book Two is going to happen! Book Two is going to be very different, with lots of different POVs, and depending on how it goes it could run for just as long as Book One has done so far.

Thanks so much! Glad you've been enjoying the story! As for things in a similar style, I'm not really sure there's anything quite the same, at least not web serials. The closest thing I can think of these days would be the Japanese light novel series Otherside Picnic (which was inspired by some of the same sources as Katalepsis was). You might enjoy that!

Oooh, good question! One of the reasons I decided to write Katalepsis is because I couldn't find the same combination elsewhere. In an odd coincidence, this exact topic came up on the Katalepsis discord yesterday, and I joked that the real Katalepsis experience was playing Bloodborne on one monitor while watching slice of life anime on the other

John Dies at the End is a big influence on my kind of cosmic horror. I've recently read the Locked Tomb books, and A Memory Called Empire, which are both very lesbian and a lot of fun, but not fluffy. I'm reading through the Otherside Picnic novels right now, which are the closest match I can think of for something like Katalepsis, I guess! There's a boatload more authors I enjoy, but none of them are similar to what I write. I think. I'll let you know if I remember anything else.

Well since there is 109 chapters and it takes at least 10 to maybe 30 minutes to read each one, i don't think you need to get a chapter done every single week. You should take your time to think about every chapter and what you want to happen in them.

Maybe get a chapter done and published every other week since they are so long.
