Fortunately it is very loose. Repeated references but the official setting of the VRMMO is earth history to 2010 is copied then universe goes through a simulation from there with some deliberately added variables. Other references include 40k and Portal. Plus the unavoidable Star Wars and Star Trek references of a sci-fi setting. They blame all references on the reference catalog they gave to the game's AI or on the players themselves.
...I mean, I never interacted with person behind the story, so I have no idea if any sort of cooperation is even feasible to begin with. Also, please don`t take that as a hint to start campaigning for it. I don`t exactly have much free time lately.
Working on it. It is kinda pointless to start one if I can`t link it to bank account, and in order to deal with bank conveniently, I have to get my vaccination first. Well, I got that one handled, so now I just have to wait till doctors say it took and sort out the paperwork.
Keep in mind that I`ve never been rich enough to justify figuring out online finances, so it`s all new to me. I am barely familiar with debit cards, let alone all the electronic methods of sending money around.
Started reading "My Next Life as a Villainess" after hearing good things about it. As a similar "otome isekai as villainess", Isekai'd Shoggoth is much better. I find a dense female lead in a romance slice of life to be a downer, especially an actively dense one.
I read the first two volumes (which is all introductory stuff) and I just kept wanting to read Isekai'd Shoggoth again. I basically dropped it today in the middle of volume 3 because of that and how slow it felt, so I'm gonna reread our adorable shoggoth's escapades.
This fic just keeps on being the most fun I find on my computer most days. The only down side is that we’re unlikely to see what the long term results of Alyssa Immortal Lady of the Islands will be on the world, unless you plan a big time jump some point in the future. I mean, in a couple hundred years what is she going to be doing?
It’s the disappointing part of stories with immortal protagonists that we always see them at the beginning and never when they’ve come into their own, or how societies grow around them. It says something good about this story that I find this fact more frustrating in this instance than most others.
What kind of similarities do you seek? There is novel here on scribblehub kinda like Isekai'd Shoggoth. Katalepsis. Its not isekai but urban fantasy and its not lighthearted like this one. But there is cosmic horror, lesbian protagonist not entirely human and sometimes lots of gore and body horror.
So reading through the story again, awesome story by the way, it takes something special to get me to read it three times back to back, and something occurred to me. Alyssa is the closest thing this reality has to a chaos locus, so does that mean that every time Cy says, "For Khyoss!" she's actually saying, "For Mommy!"?
