^^ A Lovely Poem about Blue Birds
Some birds are colourful,
Some birds are brown.
Some birds make you cheerful,
While others cause a frown.
Listening carefully,
You can hear a tune;
From a bird's beak unsullied,
That picked up your mood.
Curious, you turn around,
To see nothing new.
Sad from this, you feel down,
Until you see a flash of blue.
Slowly you go,
To the place that you heard,
The sound that you know,
Came from a regal blue bird.
And as you wait,
And listen to the song,
Your heart skips a beat,
As you realise it was you all along.
A regal blue bird,
Resting on her perch.
Singing for attention,
At her own reflection.

Well, then ask me ^^. You can PM me if you want, too. SH is a very welcoming place but it can feel a bit lonely sometimes for an author because readers are shy and don't talk in the comment sections of books too often (depends on the book and its genre, though. Some genres might have much more introverted readers than others, lol ).
You guys sure draw quickly.

But also crazy inspired by the themes. They're seriously good this time.
I have been neglecting most of my stuff because of writing/drawing for the Glossary, so now I will finally have free time to read and respond as usual ! Sorry for the delays!

O_O I had no idea Eggplant had one! I do remember I once checked out the LPBM glossary but didn't see anything so I weirdly assumed you don't have them elsewhere, too *_* That's so nice to finally discover it! And + for the meme-y stuff. I enjoyed it ^^.

The new cover for my book was supposed to be Mucha-esque but I am not Mucha, alas!
In any case, it fits the title now ^^ so it's all good to me.
P.S.: and yes, if you wonder why all the recent profile posts are about me drawing something, it's because I went off the deep end. I'm drawing nonstop (mainly in pencil)! I feel like I need an intervention stat .
Yeah, I took a close look at it yesterday and it looks great! I really like the vibe it has. haha I have drawing phases too, you have fun with that now, indulge in that drawing addiction
Thanks! The vibe is... angsty, yes. But angsty doesn't mean bad especially when it fits! I just hope that this drawing phase won't interfere with my writing ^^.

Ah, it is a name of a bird that doesn't exist, so having a picture of a bird that is a patriarchal, oppressive version of my most unique and original name -- makes it feel wrong somehow! (King, pfff... what about Prince- and Princessfishers? What injustice!)
Now that the image matches the name, and the bird has no more identity crisis, you can give it cookie crumbs.
This bird really loves cookies.

I did it! I colored the pictures.
They're a bit wonky yet hopefully still do their job fine. (And by wonky I mean -- now that they're published, I kinda see all the mistakes and weirdnesses, but oh well).

@Amarathia, Thanks *_*. I, um... drew a couple of fanarts of your books, too (two for the eggplant, and one for the PBM). But I am ashamed of it, so I'll keep it to myself for now ^^.

I draw Fang Shuren as still a mostly attractive, thin (too thin) but slightly older man...I like seeing other renditions of him though cause I'm not super picky. I like have 1 or two strands of hair that weirdly curl out, too.
But whether you choose to share or not, it's really cool that you drew them!! :D I feel so honored
I'm happy to make FS's author happy ^^. FS is legit one of my favorite characters ever, I think.
That said, I don't think my art is that shameful technique-wise (I'm only learning and as a side hobby, so I don't think anyone would ever expect me to do a Mona Lisa anytime soon ). I am ashamed about the content most. Because, well, I mainly draw chibis +_+. And chibis aren't everyone's taste. They're so silly.

Spent the entire day drawing my stupid characters (coloring them, mostly) to manage to finish them before another character's drawing for a thematic chapter +_+. Will probably have to waste the entire rest of the week and the week-end on wrapping all the drawings up, too!

Thanks *~*. Although I wouldn't be too excited since I feel like every time I digitally color a pencil-drawn picture, it ends up a bit crooked. Dunno why. Probably because in pencil, nothing is definite and vagueness is advantageous to the overall look? But with color, I kinda have to be more specific, and thus, most mistakes become a bit too obvious...
Sigh.
But at least coloring is super fun, if time-consuming! I even forgot to edit my chapters today, so absorbed I was with drawing

I actually drew a little fanart of HoR yesterday, but it's too dumb and irrelevant to the story! Also, it's chibi, so... it's almost as if it doesn't fit in with the tone of the first two chapters! But I was inspired, so I drew it...

Sorry for the long reply, work has glued me on more paper works more than before the quarantine was pushed. anyway. Thank you for following me, hope that some of my stuff are good enough for you to read.
Likewise, I will slice in half all the oncoming chapters as well... so that all the chapters will be roughly of the same size once I'm done correcting the earlier ones.

I envy your prolific writing ability ! What's *backlog* can you eat it ? Haha..
I decided to cut in half the already published chapters because length-wise, my chapters seem to run a bit longer than the average on SH. It probably wears the readers off? I don't know -- but I feel the change might be good.
If they're cut in half, they will be of the perfect average length -- which is ~2,000-2,500 words per chapter! And I realized I already write them in such a way that the cuts make sense in-world, and don't lose meaning and cohesion to the chapters either.
