About your story ... if you mean 'barony' in the sense we know historically, if you look on Wikipedia, a baron is at the weak end of the peerage system. Dukes/duchesses rule a duchy; marquis/marchioness rule a march; counts/countesses rule a county; then barons/baronesses rule a barony.

Only in the sense of me wondering why you make it seem it's a "great" barony. They're not. Counts rule barons, dukes rule counts, kings rule all. Unless you mean a singular baron is distinguished ... but in this case such honor is not heritable. Unless you are no longer going by European kingdom precedent.
