Nearly at my two-year anniversary of writing stories. Kinda crazy how far I've come, now that I think about it.

I wouldn't say that there are specific days, per se, but rather specific time frames. I spent a week or two studying what times I saw the most stories pop up. I found that between 8AM and Noon EST is a busy period, as is 4PM to 8PM. Not sure why that is, but it's a good timeframe to keep in mind.

I've noticed a lot of episodal books with short chapters that are successful lately. Maybe that's a route I could consider. Writing long chapters is fun for me, of course, but I'm starting to wonder if I couldn't do something short, and be able to upload 3-5 chapters a week. I wouldn't have to spend so much time planning prior to the chapter, so I could work faster. Maybe as a way to build up my reader count?
This warrants further thought.
I told my friend who is a writer as well, that he should do short stories since they take less time to edit and they can be a great way to gather fans and they arent only good for getting more fans but they can prepare you to make endings, meaningful arcs, better character development whether or not its MC or Side ones. A 100 or 50 chapter story, if it can be well managed and follows a good pre plan, will be at the minimum a good story to spend your time on, even if its short. Thats my opinion.
You are certainly correct, my friend! I've noticed a definite uptick in permanent readers with each alternate story I put out. They may not be short stories, but they definitely give me the rejuvenating boost I need to keep going! Plus, they follow popular genres, which means my writing gets seen.
So... as I went to upload Chapter 7 today, I noticed that I'd accidentally uploaded Chapter 5 twice :(
