Note to self, stop changing from past tense to present tense when writing, stick to one unless I have a real good reason. Find some reference material to learn proper action scenes in literature. Find a better way for conversations between people that I am comfortable with. Actually proofread my work before publishing it, so I don't beat myself up so much with how many errors I saw.... haaa it's my first published work, and it's a decent start, but I really let my own self down...
Idk, tense switching, and even narrative switching (first/third) can be used pretty well if you ‘make it flow’ (in my case, just following my gut led to a mix that I thought felt nice, but prob not for everyone). So I’m a Spider, So What? is a good example of flimsy narration/tense (I think?) done pretty well, and, spoilers if you read it;
It has some interesting sci/fi science fantasy elements later in the series, but still a fantastical tone.
Thanks for the tips, I'll be using them whenever I get my replacement laptop, cause my previous one.... currently doesn't have a screen, nor hdmi, nor a battery... hard drive's still good, so once I get the replacement in an unknown amount of time, this will be helpful
