Just replace "monarch" with hiatus and, yes, that doesn't sound right. We don't want more hiatus. Down with the hiatus!
Writing slowness is hard to get around. A&A *will* be finished, I promise this to you random internet person viewing this who may or may not care a single bit!
But other things are also getting written. A nice oneshot is going up shortly. Another is coming soon. A somewhat longer thing may be coming along nicely as well, though if it turns out to be actually longer it's going to wait until it is done (rather than run into the same problem as A&A... with a *second* story).

Chapter 14 of A&A is now up, a day late but double-sized.
uugh, this chapter has been kicking me all over the place.I do not have it ready, and I desperately need sleep now. The possibly good news is that this chapter is going to be longer than the average chapter! Not sure how much longer. It may even reach double length, not totally sure. But I will do it justice, which means it needs more time.
Okay, I've spent a while trying to work out some problems in this chapter and boy am I glad I didn't try to do this last night, I would not have been thinking straight enough! A bunch of editing is helping it a lot though.
So, I could not write at reasonable speeds. But we're getting places!

The next chapter is written and scheduled. Tbh, I'm not totally satisfied with how much story motion is in it; next chapter may be sooner than planned (if I can write it at reasonable speeds, sigh). Still, calm before the storm and all that, right?
Any rumours of my death are... not as exaggerated as I would like. But! I have news!
First, Astrogation and Adventuring is going to resume updates at the coming UTC midnight (just over an hour from now) with two (2!) chapters, and I plan to then resume the every-four-days thing I had going from there.
Second, there is soon to be an itch bundle with two stories from me in it, from a secret santa sharing event that I participated in. All of the stories in it are great. It is almost live, and I shall be posting the link Quite Soon Now (tm), after it gets the green light.

I'm not dead, honest. I am in the middle of exam season now, but soon to be done with that, and then I hope that chapters will resume as planned. I have gone and made a cover image for A&A. But that isn't exactly more story. It's coming! I promise!
My brother celebrated passing his exams and is awaiting to hear back if he'll be getting accepted into Masters. With that being said, I completely understand where you are coming from and hope recovering from their brain-draining examination won't burn you out from reading and writing for long. Get well soon!

Next chapter scheduled, one day late, ish... I think my schedule is a little bit wonky, especially with how little time there is before the chapters go up. After this, I have a looming assignment, so the next chapter may or may not be further delayed? Or it may be a perfect break, for me to write another chapter. But now you've got some warning!
