The thing about extra novels is that they are usually focused on the extra and not on the other characters around him, sure he's not the protagonist of that game/novel world, but he's still the main focus of the history since it's told from his perspective, else it could've just been told by Gaia (or any omniscient narrator) since she's just watching everything that happens in that world.

Pt2.

 Btw, you can't really say that he's a weak protagonist when you give him 10 different cheats that should be enough to make him one of the stronger characters in that world, if he has training, sure he's weak now, but that doesn't mean that we should be exposed to all the information of the world without keeping any of it's mistery... If you think about it, this is a history about the events happening in the Otome game world, not one about the extra.

@mzzed That last sentence is a good point. I had been thinking of the general direction in the beginning and don’t really know what to write as the title and synopsis. As for the chest aspect: You can give an artist an assault rifle, but it won’t mean they’ll know how to use it. On the base level, having immortality already makes any life-or-death sceneries useless, and owning territory means nothing if you can’t manage it.

@mzzed Simon, the drunkard, also can’t be regarded as a ‘Guru’, since… well… he’s just a drunk with immense power who causes more damage than be of any help. Just because I haven’t focused on him recently doesn’t mean the MC has no role to play. It’s just that you can’t get impactful moments unless you set a scene first.
