I can write pretty decent, the problem I have is that I lack motivation to write. My motivation always goes away really quickly when I'm planning to do something.

That's what been happening for the last couple of years, I've had the plot of the book in mind for 4 years and has never gone around to write it.

I guess the book will come back when I'm a competent author.
