We're baaaack.  Writing brain is back in the ring.  Fanfiction is picking up the torch.  Original content is on the back-burner ATM, but that's been the whale of my attentions by way of roleplay.  I make no promise to the when, but that should be making an appearance down the line.

This spring has been a chaotic one.  Irregular schedules and a budding social life have reserved the majority of my attentions.  My writing habits have started to reap the rewards though.  It will be a few weeks before I'm back with regular updates, however I'm optimistic that the stories will be moving forward on top of the usual refinements.

I must have chickened out earlier, because I meant to post an update regarding my hiatus.  Since the buffer ran out, I took a break from writing.  I started roleplaying with someone in June, which has developed into a storyline of its own.   Once I have enough built up to reload the buffer, I'll be able to start posting regular updates.

I made a bit of an oversight recently, and posted a number of chapters ahead of schedule.  While this might look like extra content, it means the buffer I'm using is almost gone.  I will see about other projects that I can bring up the chain, but there is a very real possibility that I will miss a few of my regular postings.

I want to thank everyone here.  A number of authors have freely provided works that have stoked and demonstrated a great deal of the writing skills that I have.  Thank you for coming together for this and other creative spaces.

Currently, I am limited by my ADHD.  My affinity for writing only lasts for a couple weeks at a time, and cycles back between two and four times a year.  Thankfully my habits and skill level are improving by leaps and bounds, and I've started reaching out for the interactions that I need.

My fanfiction is going through the same situation.  Although it's not getting nearly as much of my attention, there are still point where I make a breakthrough in writing.  I've managed to ration out my content to a point that I think posting may be semi consistent going forward.

I am working on developing the backstory of my original characters.  The original file, "Guardians of imaginary" Is being shut down until further notice, but the content is still being posted and worked over in my demos and drafts file.  I intend to clean this up at a later date, but until I have a better grasp of my writing style, it's going to stay this way.

(Continued) Because a lot of ‘experimental’ scenes get cut, I create these satallite demo stories.  They’re there to help feel out roles and dynamics to help pave the way for more formalized stories.

There’s been a lot of trial and error in the last few years, trying to relearn the basics.  At this stage, perspective is my power source, and feedback my anchor.

Just checking in from time to time does a lot for my confidence.

Alright, bit of a heads up.  It about that time again.  My main story projects have run out of momentum so it’s time to reset.  This means revisiting every scene from scratch and smoothing over previous transitions.

Revision of the fire arc is in progress.  Don't worry, I have the beta chapters ready for the next month.  If anything, this may pool some of that content ahead of schedule.  I'd estimate I've reached the halfway point.  Looking at maybe a bit over eight chapters, once all the context is filled out.

Of course, that still leaves the other two arcs.  Thank you for your patience meanwhile.

I'm gonna be divinding my attentions between the prologue arcs.  Earth and fire from 'wind' and water.  I'm pouring a lot of dedicated energy into these arcs, and trying to split away from that has had less than clean results.  I may still post drafts from wind and water - First attempts are rarely clean after all - but my hope is that i will be getting into those in earnest at a later date.  I really like the recent levels of story saturation, and want that to carry over.

It might not actually extend as deep into some aspects as I think it does, and may allow more flexibility origins wise than I allotted for.  I have a nasty tendency to use defaults though.  Trying to adjust what someone else has done does not suit me, hence a burst of OC's  Tangential character development i think i could do.

One of the challenges: the more recent development that I have been able to make is making a defined position for world-building- Physical areas that are part of the world and then get shifted for flavor text.

In this I'm pretty sure that whatever i write will have to be a bit AU.  I need to avoid making new characters.  Not forbid the role-play elements, mind you.  But setting up parameters in the narutoverse... I'm not that well versed in the storyboard/worldbuild.

Should have been completely off the table.  More passing thought has gone into avenues for that story.  I don't know that the theme is going to be the same though.  It has bothered me before, trying to follow a fanfic for a theme that i wasn't acquainted to, or using elements that didn't belong to the original.

I don't know.  Tangentially, I guess people have gotten along with that before.
