I've been a science fiction fan since I read Andre Norton's Daybreak 2250 A.D. I've worked on and ran Science Fiction conventions
I rate stories by how much fun they are to read. Therefore it is totally subjective. However, i will try to give my reasons. Also, if you agree with me, it'll help you to find new stories. If you find yourself disagreeing with me, it'll let you know what to stay away from.
A 5 means that I eagerly wait for the next chapter.
A 4 means that I enjoy reading it enough to mark it on my reading list.
A 3 means, "Why am I still reading this?" You will rarely see a 3 (it's an edge case that I thought up but haven't encountered).
I will never read a story long enough to give it a 1 or a 2 rating.
