If all goes well, I hope to have a new release very soon: a slice-of-life urban fantasy that can potentially go on for as long as there's interest. I won't start until I have at least the first several months, at 2/week, already done. We're talking unhurried, character-driven exploration of their lives and their world, with occasional short-term crises but no overall goal - the kind of thing I like best to write but usually don't.

A quick FYI - I'm going back through Haunted because I'm experimenting with author-read audio versions, and have decided to add the #transgender tag to it. There IS trans content there, it's just rather light. I'm still unsure how much to consider enough of anything to warrant a tag. Maybe, in this case, if there's enough trans content to upset a transphobe, it counts? 

Happy New Year, everyone! Fingers crossed that 2023 is less stressful for my household, and I can get more writing done. (This adulting thing doesn't get easier over time, sadly.) So far so good, on both the chaos and the writing!

Barring another household crisis, I'll have a novel-length Hallowe'en story for you before the month ends, and I'm hoping that'll only be the start of being back on track to finish several ongoing projects and a possible new and very different one. Hi, folks! Still around! But 2022 is still not being kind to my household, and that means high anxiety/depression, and that makes concentration and motivation really difficult. On the grounds that *any* writing is better than nothing, I've been alternating between two fun projects when I can, but they're going slowly. Eventually I'll get there, though! This won't last forever!

If anyone following me was also reading Renegade... those bonus chapters I promised are up. There won't be any more content added to that one until whenever I reach the sequel on my ever-growing to-do list, but I hope the bonus chapters are an interesting glimpse into the future.

Still here! 2022 has so far not been a good year in my household, and that's making it hard to focus. I haven't forgotten finishing Transposition or any other projects! If the one I'm playing with now (when my brain allows) works out, I think you'll all like it!  Just a relatively simple race-the-bad-guys-to-the-treasure power-of-friendship plot, with unconventional heroes, probably running novel-length but moving fast. It's fun and light and should get me back into my groove.

I will probably not reply to comments or anything for at least a few days. I just lost my cat - I saved him as a 3-week-old orphan and he was almost at his 14th birthday despite everyone tellling me he wouldn't survive. "It hurts" doesn't begin to cover it. I'll be back, and back to writing, once I can stop crying.

I haven't given up on writing. I've just been busy for the past month putting all time and energy into a very sick 13-year-old cat, and if you can't understand why that's worth it, I feel sorry for you. Since he's improving I'm trying to get back to it, but he's not out of the woods and I'm exhausted on every level, so it's going to be slow going. I can't promise when I'll have anything new, including the next part of Transposition. Sorry!

Because Black Wolf ran out (not that anyone was reading it LOL) and it's going to be a while yet before I have anything new to offer, I'm going to start uploading my remaining completed novel. It's another old one, with no trans/same sex in it, which probably means it won't get much attention, but what is there to lose? Well, as long as I can make the content warnings clear enough.
