If I remember right even Amazon allows a certain number of pages to be online even with KU since it's the same as their sample, so removing the whole story is a waste. You should have left the first few chapters to further market it, especially since you could post a new "chapter" explaining that it's on Amazon so you can try to shift the readers over there instead of just making it look like you deleted it out of nowhere.
With the way you handled this I wouldn't be surprised if you lost potential customers, hope you learn from this in the future.

I use KU so I'll probably read it using that some day, but some of my favorite authors I buy the book as well from and I've decided that even if it's amazing I'm not going to purchase any of this series due to how he handled this. Also going to avoid his Patreon until it seems like he's learned how to treat his fans better. Dude needs to learn some manners.

He took it down to put it on Amazon, but he did this pretty much out of nowhere, hell, I'm not even sure why he bothered to put it up here for any amount of time with how abrupt everything was.
Yeah that's what i have fond later. Not the best move... Kinda have appreciated if he issued a warning beforehand....
