Okay I know you said you have a full time job in the description of your book so you might not have time but if you want a really good reference for fights in a Pokémon noval you should look at I will touch the skies. There are some story element of that book I don't like but it is really good at battles so it might be something to look at.

I actually like how dark it gets just don't like how grace is paning out with the whole power use thing and fighting against the fairy changes she has experienced. For reference I like when character go on a darkish path like she was so the reversing feels kinda bad.
