Chap 3.0

~•~

2 months earlier

8:34AM, Belcolos Garden inside the Royal Palace, Metropolitan City --

The air is cool as she breaths in the gentle breeze. Closing her eyes, she still sees the colorful petals of this seemingly a peaceful haven on land. The little girl is alone, everyone else are busy dealing with her new born baby brother. It's the perfect place right now.

Although Ellios is very adorable, her curiosity to the voice is strong. Smooching her little brother can wait...

She let the cool wind guide her through the concrete floor, passing through a sea of bright flowers towards the trees; untouched, tall and strong.

The mana envelopes her --- it's in the palace everywhere. In these trees, however, she can smell the cool sensation, and imagine the sparkling blue color of mana. When she closes her eyes it almost becomes visible.

I didn't know that mana can be traced this so easily, but magikēn Remis said it takes years of meditation to feel and control mana. Did magikēn lie? He must not be... Magikēn Remis is the top magic scholar in the kingdom.

[Eclaire]

She hears the whisper and she smiles, "I'm here."

[ᜑᜎ̊ᜃ ]

Come here...

"Okay." She follows the current of the mana, leading her deep onto the trees until she reaches the core of the garden.

In the very back, covered behind the dense colors of flowers and the tall statures of trees, are the three majestic trees; the Messengers.

Legend says that the Messengers were born from the long roots of the Tree of Life; the core of the world. In return, the Messengers produces a massive amount of mana that pumps through the roots, traveling thousands of miles away from the center of the world. Although far, it is enough to supply an entire kingdom in prosperous years to come.

The Messengers are the core of Morinzina Kingdom.

Eclaire looks up at the majestic statures, sparkling in little twinkle hue of blue. It was cool, but it was not freezing. It's very calming.

[ᜋᜐᜌ ᜀᜃᜓ ᜐ ᜁ̊ᜌᜓᜅ᜔ ᜉᜄ᜔ᜇᜆ̊ᜅ᜔]

I'm glad that you came

The three trees are captivating that she barely hears what the voice says.

"You are calling for me..."

Of course, she will come. You've been whispering in her ears.

[ᜐᜎᜋᜆ᜔]

Thank you...

"... you're welcome."

[ᜂ̊ᜋ̥ᜉᜓ ᜃ]

Take a sit.

"Uhm... Where?"

[ᜃ̥ᜅ᜔ ᜐᜀᜈ᜔ ᜋᜓ ᜄ̥ᜐ᜔ᜆᜓ]

Anywhere you find comfortable with.

She nods, immediately sitting down on the grass, as what the voice tells her.

The ground suddenly shakes, it was gentle and far from being scary, but she still felt alarmed. "Wha -- what..."

[ᜇ̊ᜆᜓ, ᜋᜎᜉ̊ᜆ᜔ ᜐ ᜀᜃ̊ᜈ᜔]

...here, come near me.

"Oh, okay." She stood up and went to sit down in the middle of the Messengers. She pouts and thought, you said I could sit anywhere, but then you laugh when I did. Stupid trees!

[ᜁ̊ᜉ̊ᜃ̊ᜆ᜔ ᜋᜓ ᜀᜅ᜔ ᜁ̊ᜌᜓᜅ᜔ ᜋ᜔ᜄ ᜋᜆ]

Close your eyes.

She closes her eyes.

[ᜄᜏ̊ᜈ᜔ ᜋᜓ ᜈ ᜀᜅ᜔ ᜈᜇ̵ᜇ̵ᜉᜆ᜔ ᜋᜓᜅ᜔ ᜄᜏ̊ᜈ᜔]

Do what you were taught to do.

"The training... You mean, meditating?"

[ᜂᜂ]

Yes.

"Do you want me to meditate here?"

[ᜆ̥ᜆ̥ᜎ̥ᜅᜈ᜔ ᜃ̊ᜆ]

I'll help you.

"But why? Why are you helping me?"

The cool mana suddenly turns warm, embracing her little body, comforting the seven year old child.

[ᜇᜑ̊ᜎ᜔ ᜀᜃᜓ ᜀᜅ᜔ ᜆᜄᜑᜆ̊ᜇ᜔ ᜅ᜔ ᜋ᜔ᜄ ᜋᜒᜈ᜔ᜐᜑᜒ]

For I deliver messages...

"For I deliver messages," she translates out loud and pouts, "Of course, you're called the Messengers with a reason..."

Magikēn Remis had mentioned it before. Since the ancient times, these majestic trees have not been supporting the land of the kingdom, but also have been known for calling to people. It is rare, however, the sacred trees are only picking a certain type of people.

The First King, Rondover, the patriarch of the Rondover family during the first civilization; the first family to rise into power and built the royal throne by gathering all the powerful clans and formed a solid alliance together. The family ruled over the kingdom for a hundred and fifty years.

A son of an Ellins, Frelgor Ellins; the man who made the agriculture business flourish for the better, made the economy rise, recognized and famed, and made his family succeed the throne --- a hundred years later after the first call from the Messengers. Frelgor didn't became a king, but his descendants ruled the kingdom for sixty three years.

The matriarch of a Mortoquella, Illiasvel Mortoquella --- two hundred years later after the second call --- was responsible for strengthening the kingdom's soldiers to better defend against the invaders. Her family ruled the kingdom after her death for a hundred years before the family's sudden annihilation.

All of these families have their own significant contribution depending on their era's situation, and all have a hundred and more years of gap in between. They are all generally known for their deeds, written forever in the books of history and praised for their brilliance --- except for the fact that their figureheads had received a call from the Messengers.

However, the families were still subjected to envy and greed by the other parties and ultimately had lost in time for eternity, replaced by the others. Although these calls that were received are forever buried as the Secret Call, only the Fryst Magikēn, the most intelligent and all knowing magic scholar in the kingdom shall know.

It is unclear why did magikēn Remis told her this. Didn't only the Frysts like magikēn Remis holds this top secret? But I, the youngest daughter of an Alcantara, had received this call.

Did magikēn knew?

The little princess thought, but does not understand the importance of this call yet...

[ᜁ̊ᜌᜓᜈ᜔ ᜀᜅ᜔ ᜀᜃ̊ᜅ᜔ ᜆ̥ᜅ᜔ᜃ̥ᜎ̊ᜈ᜔]

"It is your duty... That's why you're here."

She only knows that she must listen to the whisper instinctively.

She leans against the bigger tree in the middle, her eyes closed gently, her breathing steadying, and her mana clearing and mixing through the blue particles. It was a beautiful dance of blue and pure white, and the whispers finally subsides.

10:19AM, at the courtyard --

A manservant rushes in towards the table, bowing deeply to the woman at the head before hastily whispers into her ears.

"Your Majesty, Princess Eclaire is missing. We can not find her. We suspect that she has gone out again..."

The Queen softly sighs and resisted the urge to pinch her temple. She put in mind about the women in front of her, before nodding briefly and speaks, "Find her."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

The women at the table watches the manservant rushing in and out in seconds. They all smiled at the Queen but didn't dare to ask. Her Majesty has just given birth two months ago and yet she has her hands full still...

But first consort Shinral, the woman who sits closest to Her Majesty at the right, heard the whisper and asks, "Your Majesty, how is her highness the Princess?"

The Queen smiles and eyed her down, "My daughter received the highest education the kingdom could offer; first consort Relmor need not to worry about her."

Shinral Relmor hid the chill she felt with a smile and slightly bows her head, "Of course, her highness will become the model of women in the kingdom someday."

"As expected from the royal family,"

"As expected from the royal family..."

The other women repeated nervously, and silently hoped that the first consort will shut her mouth up. Don't rile up the Queen's already thin patience! We may be wives of His Majesty but the Queen can still slice our head off in a flick of her fingers!

Currently, there are nine women present at the courtyard, including the Queen. Of course, the head of the seats is solely reserved for Her Majesty, and the other eight women are only consorts and thus, they sit at the side of the tables, in order. Most of them were gifted to His Majesty as a present to carry favor or connection --- like the woman with a blonde hair, sitting at the left side of Her Majesty...

Second Consort Iris, from the house of Creolstones family in a neighbouring small kingdom.

"Her Majesty does not have enough time to be spent with us and yet still made an effort to summon us consorts," Iris spoke with a mild voice, "This lowly one does not dare to make Her Majesty waste any more of her precious time."

"These lowly ones are listening, Your Majesty!"

Says the other women, and the Queen nods, "First consort, second consort, have you paid respects to my son?"

"In advance, Your Majesty. I have sent my son to greet the little prince in respect." Says Shinral.

Iris follows, "My own son also wished to pay respect to the little prince and have gone to his highness' chamber with me earlier."

The Queen says, "As you know, His Majesty is finally blessed with a son who will follow the path the heavens bestowed upon for a leader, a true King. Although His Majesty has been given a few talented princes, only the chosen pure blood shall ascend to the throne.

"My only wish is to ask the respective consorts of His Majesty to diligently accept my son as the true prince to the bottom of your hearts."

When the Queen smiles so beautifully, the consorts could not help but smile and agree to Her Majesty. They enthusiastically throw words of flatters to the young prince, making sure that they suck up enough to the Queen that they would not go back to their homes with a letter saying they died from some random causes.

Sure, there's Shinral's son, Prince Kazimir and Iris' Prince Clyne, who are born from the same seeds of His Majesty the King. Although the women are only consorts and have lower rank and status than the Queen's, their sons still have the royal blood flowing through their veins and thus they respectively received the title of a prince.

However, it does not mean Prince Kazimir and Prince Clyne could succeed the throne, for the rightful heir has been born; Prince Ellios de Alcantara.

The Queen's influence is stronger than the consort's, after all.

Although Her Majesty has another child, Princess Eclaire, she is but a princess. Even with her mother Queen's support, she can not inherit the throne. His Majesty will certainly prefer a male heir than a female one who can not continue the linage of the current royal clan. Her little brother will become the true Crown Prince, and when that happens, it'll be a lot more harder for the other parties to grab the throne.

Then, what if the little prince disappears?

QUESTION, do you want me to edit this chap and give direct translation of the ancient language under it, so you guys will directly understood what the Messengers says? Just comment down below your answer!!!

...So the language I used for reference is called "Baybayin", it's a legit ancient language from the Philippines way before the Spanish occupation. Although it can't completely be understood by the ScribbleHub's writing system, or whatever it is. So some letters and syllables disappears, making the words incomprehensible for the experts out there. I apologize for I can't fix it!

I used "BaybayinPlus Keyboard" blablabla translator in playstore, so if the sentences looks wrong, I apologise! ???

THIS IS ANOTHER UNPOLISHED CHAPTER, AND I AM PLANNING TO REWRITE THEM IN THE FUTURE WHEN I HAVE FIVE OR MORE CHAPTERS AHEAD AND I FIXED THE DAMNED PLOT. IF THERE ARE MISTAKES, PLS FEEL FREE TO POINT IT OUT AND I SHALL CORRECT IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

THANK YOU FOR READING!!!
