Charlene opened her mouth.
“What I am going to say is going to be unbelievable but please bear with me as this is what I envision.” She said before she took a deep breath and continued.
“Rather than the development of the human race gradually which is obvious by the current trend, I can see that in the future, the human can finally reveal the secret within the deep ocean of our own planet!
“We will be able to explore the depths that have never been reached in our current state. We will be able to live in the depths of the ocean, we can extract more resources from the deep sea. We can even see the mysteries of the deep sea with our own eyes.
“If you think that is enough then I am sorry but that is far from enough. Other than the depth of the ocean, we will also be able to fly and explore the sea of stars! Imagine that thing in the sky you see every day, how they sparkle and twinkle when we see it from here. In the future, we can see them up closer without the need of a telescope!
“We will even be able to explore the world beyond our own planet which the term is just recently discovered. We can even explore the world beyond our Cerulean Planet!”
Murmur and discussion soon became the one thing that the spectator engaged in. They tried to imagine that future but it was not easy. Some of the contestants also had difficulties grasping that concept of the future.
“We will have a near inexhaustible source of energy, we will have explored the violet sun which rises from the east and sets on the west in full! At that time, even the secret of the universe is for us humans to grasp!”
At this time, Charlene did not say anything as she wanted others to understand her vision of the future. But from the looks of it, most of the people present had difficulties grasping at her idea. Not to mention the term ‘Cerulean Planet’, they barely understand the word ‘Universe’ in her speech.
But Mister Elio was surprised to hear this. What was the young prodigious lady saying!?
Humanity could explore the sea of stars? They also managed to go to the deep ocean and even lived there? This kind of vision for the future…
“I want to ask you a question, is that fine?” Mister Elio wanted to ask Charlene about something.
“Yes, it is fine. What is it?” Charlene looked at the respected figure and replied softly. Her heart was beating faster as she did not expect Mister Elio to ask her something.
‘What is he asking about?’ Charlene thought as her heart beat faster and faster.
“In the future you envisioned, what does human's individual power look like?” Mister Elio asked this question in a quite loud voice so that everyone present could hear it.
Charlene finally registered the question and the thought process of her led her to one conclusion.
“As the previous Star Battle exposes us to the power beyond our current understanding, there will be a time when the current feat that we achieve through medium and tools will be done through our own body and capability.
“We can fly on our own will, we can carry the mountain on our shoulders, we can withstand the heat and cold of the environment better that we don’t have to worry that our body cannot withstand it. We can even…fly with our own bodies through the sea of stars. But that is probably still too far from now.”
Charlene concluded her vision with that as she doubted that she could see that day for herself. But this vision of her was something she was sure would happen.
“But that is not possible with our current capabilities.”
“How can we shoulder a mountain? We barely contest against the giant beast, there is no way we can do that.”
Charlene could hear all the discussion of the spectators and she currently agreed that the current humanity could not do this. But this was the vision for the future and she answered it in the most glorious and imaginative possible.
“Please be quiet, everyone.” Mister Elio was a respected figure in the Hinon Federation and his word carried some weight so the spectators listened to him.
“Now that we heard all the participants’ answers, we will conclude our judgment on this.”
Everyone looked at the jury waiting for them to give them their opinion regarding this matter.
Then Mister Elio looked at the other jury and they had something akin to a tacit understanding. He nodded and then said, “As for our vision into the future, it is naturally the unification of the human race once more. It is because that is the most important thing for us to face against external enemies that we might face.
“Then the development of our technology. It is important since it is currently the backbone of our entire lifestyle and battle prowess. And last is actually the individual power from each of us. We discovered a chance for us to become stronger on our own but it is currently limited to specific individuals so it is not counted yet.”
Everyone seemed to agree with the jury. They even nodded in understanding. They thought that the unification of the human race was the most important future that they wanted to achieve.
“So since every participant gave the answer beautifully, we decided to give them all points for their answer.” Mister Elio said and gave an applause. Soon after, the other jury followed suit along with the spectators.
They did not expect that such a competition would end up discussing the vision of each participant.
-
“Vision of the future, huh?” Dian who had seen the entire event from his Planet Master space thought about it and agreed that every participant and even the jury’s vision for the future was good.
As for himself, his vision of the future was obvious. He wanted the human race to reach the highest place within the Universe Council.
Speaking about Universe Council, he remembered the tips that Tritis had given to the new Planet Master.
“Exchanging some of the products of the civilization can promote some growth from both sides, provided that you know what to look.”
This tip was actually impacting Dian. He knew some of the products from various civilizations that was offered in the Universe Market. But he did not have some unique product from his civilization. Even most of the technology that the human race had inherited came from the dwarves.
Other than that, the Transcendent Tree of the human race had started to develop. They also understood something that related to themselves. In the Library of Consciousness, the various Nafs that resided there decided to call the special condition of the individual who could harness the Undead Element as Necromancer Trait.
Basically, it meant that the person was attuned to the Undead Element. They would not develop symptoms contacting the Undead Element. Instead, they would feel empowered. They could even command some low rank undead to do their bidding.
But it was something that belonged to the Undead Race and the human had acquired it from their years of research and development.
“I can’t believe that my human race has nothing special to offer yet. Perhaps I should wait for some time to let them develop more.” Dian thought while he also managed the entire planet.
He was also responsible for the living environment of the creatures that resided on his planet. That was why he was watching them. He also used a little of his energy points to stabilize the entire planet that had increased in size.
He first increased the water body that covered the entire planet. Following the increase of the planet’s diameter, Dian also increased the available overall resources using his energy points. This would stabilize the entire planet.
Then the time had come for the periodical report. It consisted of simple reports from his subordinates.
“Now, report to me about the condition of your respective responsibility.” Dian said while facing his two subordinates in the Planet Master space. It was a huge white space with the appearance of the Cerulean Planet at the center.
Situated around the planet projection were three entities. The first to reply was Leif.
“Master, the dwarves are also developing their own special community within the human society. They have now already assimilated themselves fully. They also help the human to develop their own power.”
While Leif said that, Dian had checked the condition of the dwarves before. It checked out and Dian knew that the best place for a dwarf to go in the Comberth Continent would be the Hinon Federation.
It was because the Hinon Federation placed the dwarves equal to that of humans in terms of rights and responsibilities. For Dian, that was something bold since they clashed in battle a few decades ago.
But any development was fine. It was better and he believed that the dwarves’ potential could also help humans. And there were cases of trans-racial pairings appearing in human society.
Dian did not know whether this was good or bad. After all, he did not have something to calculate the outcome of such events at all.
He heard that the capability of the civilization under the Planet Master was shared with the Planet Master. So Dian could only imagine that one day, the human race could develop some sort of calculation technology or transcendent capability to predict the outcome of certain things.
Then he looked at Ghylea.
“Master, the development of the Undead Race has taken an unexpected turn,” Ghylea said in his report. Dian gestured his hand to indicate to Ghylea that he should continue.
“They started to develop some sense of self and even have started to create a small community. It is what they themselves regarded as Necropolis.” As the one who managed the Undead Race in the Undead Secret Realm, Ghylea was watching them attentively so any change was reported.
“What caused them to be like that?” Dian asked because he did not know the exact details of the development of the Undead Race.
“It is actually the normal progression. However it is accelerated due to their contact with the human race over time. Even some of the structures they have built resemble the architectural style of the human building.” Ghylea added so that Dian understood.
“Is that so?” Dian was a bit dejected. It was because the effect of the human race was limited to his own planet, after all.
He should have expected it but seeing it with his own eyes caused him to really tilted his decision toward waiting a bit longer for the human race to develop.

And to no one’s surprise, Charlene was declared the victor of the Federal Competition. The committee decided to give the winner a moment to speak her mind. So Charlene was to be present in front of the spectators.
On the stage, Charlene held the device to transmit her voice to the loudspeaker.
“I am participating in this competition is to see the other children of the federation naturally. I wanted to know what kind of potential they had. When I came, I was surprised to see that some people still did not comprehend something important.
“But that is another matter. The most important matter is that we are here for not only the future of ourselves but also the future of the human race. In this regard, even the people on the spectator can understand.
“This makes me delighted. We want a future where we can be united as one as well as participate in the legendary Star Battle. We have a united vision in our education institution and also in the populace that leans toward that. I am glad that I was born here. I hope that everyone will also try to at least give their child a chance to prove themselves.”
Charlene said in her usual tone. She was saying something that she wanted to convey to not only her parents but also to the participants as well as the spectators.
The young man nodded in agreement. The lives of the people of the Hinon Federation were better than anywhere else, after all.
After that Charlene continued, “I also want to thank my parents for allowing me to participate in this competition. It is not easy for them to agree since there is something about me that need security.”
Her parents were looking at her with proud expressions covering their faces. They were concerned but braced themselves because their daughter truly wanted that. They knew that participating in the competition posed a certain risk but Charlene insisted on being a participant.
In the end, they could watch all of this happen. They felt fulfilled. As Charlene finished her speech, a round of applause could be heard from the jury, the participants as well as the spectators. Everyone was clapping their hands.
Charlene who was in the middle of it all stared blankly. She did not expect it either but soon recovered from that. She nodded to everyone before she left the stage.
At that time, every single one of the people of the Hinon Federation knew of Charlene at large. It was because that was the first time she directly participated in a public activity as well as the champion of the competition.
When Charlene regrouped with her parents, she saw someone she recognized.
‘I should have expected it.’ Charlene thought as she smiled at them.
“Dad, Mom, I am the champion of the Federal Competition!”
“Congratulations!” as expected, her parents got close to her and grabbed her hands while saying that. They waved it lightly while Charlene followed the tempo.
“Congratulations, Miss Charlene.” It was actually the bodyguard assigned by the Hinon Federation to her.
Charlene also smiled slightly at her bodyguard. She nodded in acknowledgment.
“It is afternoon. We should look for a place where we can eat. Do you know anything good around here?” Charlene’s father asked the bodyguard.
Charlene also looked at her bodyguard, curiosity filled her eyes.
“Well, there is this one place where the price is affordable and the taste is good…” the bodyguard smiled and said the address of the place. Then they went to the designated address.
On the way, the road was filled with cars from various places. Charlene who was inside the car thought about her vision of the future.
What she said on the stage was actually a part of her vision. In her vision, in addition to what she had said, she also saw that people perceive reality vastly different than her. Be it sight, smell, or hearing, humans in the future perceive them differently than the current humans.
Whether it was the product of technology or some supernatural, Charlene did not get a clue. One thing was for sure, it was at the border of nonsense so she did not say it at the competition.
‘But I am curious about my vision. Will it be realized sooner or later? Will I be alive to witness it though?’
Charlene was lost in her own thoughts. But suddenly she received something from the deepest part of herself. That answer made her satisfied. She also recognized that even if she died before seeing her vision come to fruition, the afterlife model that she had proposed made it so that she could witness it through other people.
On the other hand, at the Thebes Kingdom.
At the experimental place near the portal to the Undead Secret Realm, one of the scientists came out from the portal along with someone. The scientist wore a special suit and mask while the other man only wore formal military clothes.
“Finally, we are one step closer to being able to utilize the power of the Undead Element!” the scientist clapped his hand as he moved his neck, looking at the person behind him.
“I am finally stronger than most people. Although this state is limited by the Undead Element, at least I am now on the path of transcendence.” The man replied.
“Of course, you are one of the people of the kingdom who has the Necromancer Trait. With that, you can utilize the Undead Element to strengthen yourself.” The scientist nodded with pride in his voice.
After a long and grueling research, they managed to discover a method for the human with the Necromancer Trait to become stronger.
It involved the utilization of the Undead Element. First, the person with the Necromancer Trait had to form a core of power. It served as a storage as well as a source of power for the person.
Then they had to refine the core so that the strength that they possessed increased steadily. Sadly, this was still exclusive to the humans with Necromancer Trait.
But the scientist had some hope. Since some people could possess this power, it would not be long before the entire human race could utilize the transcendence power for themselves.
Other than that, this also meant that the Transcendence Army Project that the Thebes Kingdom had proposed was going to come to fruition. Currently, dozens of people who had the Necromancer Trait gathered in the kingdom, forming the Transcendence Army.
Thanks for the chapter.
