While Dian and his two subordinates were arranging things on their side in the Planet Master Space, the Metamorphic God and her servant were on the other side of the space.

Seeing that the Rift that she had first discovered was taken by the other side’s races made her restless.

The plan to catch them by surprise has failed. But this doesn’t show their strength.

The Metamorphic God, Chikara, was watching as the others’ races deployed something that caused death to the Glings. It was fast and only a group of Elves managed to avoid the fate of death by the green-colored mist.

But she was prepared for that. She contacted the Queen who ruled over the swarm as they had the Hive Mind model for their races and she used it to her advantage.

But when she looked back, she realized that the three races on the other side had made their move by destroying the nest near the Rift. Not only that but she could see that the Transcendents were generating the undead element using the remains of her race.

Damn the Undead! If they did not show up, I would have had this Star Battle in my hands.

Chikara was worried. According to her predecessor, the Undead race was the almost perfect counter to her race’s strategy. They could use the living beings as a source of their numbers and powers. Using swarm tactics on them felt like feeding them with nutrients instead, so Chikara did not send any more Glings to the enemies for fear of increasing their advantage.

But she had a backup plan in mind and she intended to execute it now. That was why she…

“You, order your Elves to prepare their Etherium for me!” Chikara ordered her servant.

“Yes. Your will shall be obeyed.” The Elf beside her responded with a scripted reply.

Chikara saw that there were dwarves and also a bit unfamiliar race that she had never seen before. They looked like Elves but their ear were round and their appearance was more diverse.

She did not have information regarding this race at all so she was nervous.

What kind of power do they possibly have? I saw that the Transcendents of that race used the Undead Element as their source. Are they part of the Undead?

Chikara thought about this since it was an undeniable truth that she had seen. The first plan in her mind was to use the Ether that the Elves could manipulate to her advantage.

Because by overwhelmingly using Ether, she could at least put up resistance if not defeat the Undead Race and the unknown race.

Then she saw through the panel in front of her that the Elf King had prepared their treasured Etherium for the Hive, the highest level production structure the Glings could possibly have.

The location was not far from the Sacred Tree which the Elves used as their base and their sanctuary. It was also the place where the Ether could nurture the generation of Elves, making it the most suitable place for them to reproduce.

“We have come here as per Mother Nature's order.” The Elf King personally delivered several jade-colored crystals to the Hive, where the most authoritative figure of the swarm was sitting on the flesh throne.

“Good that you know your place. Place it in its current place and you can get out.” The Queen of the swarm replied before returning to silence.

The Elf King glinted helplessness in his eyes but he nodded before he left with his entourage that delivered the Etherium to the Hive. To them, this place was uncomfortable to them so leaving as soon as possible was definitely good.

After sensing through the Contaminated Soil that the Elf King and his entourage had gone that the Queen was finally able to summon the larvae to the area around the Etherium. She had been given an order from the Metamorphic God to take advantage of the transcendent energy and gave birth to the Transcendent for her race.

The larvae started by biting the crystal but to no avail. Since eating the crystal did not work, they resorted to the second-best thing. They started to adapt and absorb the Ether that flowed around the Etherium.

The Queen watched the process with delight. She wanted to see what kind of Glings could be produced by combining with the strong Ether in the Etherium.

The larvae felt like they were full so they started to form a flesh cocoon, filled with strong vitality due to absorbing a large concentration of Ether.

After ten hours, the flesh cocoon exploded, finally revealing what was inside. Although the time it needed to nurture these Glings increased, the Queen was sure they were the best Glings she had ever produced.

One of them was a burly four-legged beast. Its claw was strong and faintly allowed the Ether to flow in it, increasing the damage the claw might cause. It also had a strong sense so it could detect things from afar.

It was also strong and had a regenerative factor that could heal it from injuries. The Queen could access the ability of her offspring, easily found that the ability it had came from the mutation of interacting with Ether.

Another one was a bipedal being who had flesh wings on its back; it emanated the Ether as if showing off its strength. It also had the same regenerative factor as the first, while this one specialized in speed.

The Queen realized that each one of the newly born offspring had its own specialization. She already had numerous methods to utilize their capability against her enemies.

That was why she quickly formed a special group consisting of the offspring who were using the Ether to fight against the Transcendents and the Undead Race who utilized the undead element as their energy source.

If the elves lacked the number for the Queen to force the enemies to pull back, then she would use the offspring she could produce to give birth to numerous Transcendents to fight back.

The reproduction rate of her Gling race was more than ten times that of the Elves after all so she knew that using her offspring was the most suitable choice to launch a prolonged campaign against the enemy of the Metamorphic God.

But she also sensed through the Hive Mind that the three races had finally established their territory in her homeworld. The Queen let out a soft sigh.

‘It is inevitable that the three races use the window of time I need to create these warrior Transcendents to establish and expand their territory. But this is where the victorious streak of theirs ends!’ the Queen thought while arranging the Transcendents of her race to form a group.

This group would be dealing with the Transcendents and the Undead Race of the opponent.

Chikara, who had seen this through the system panel, was satisfied. This was the emergency response she had prepared in case the worst-case scenario unfolded. It did not go to waste as she saw that the new Transcendent from her race finally appeared.

With this, I can deal damage and even halt the advance of the opponent’s race. No, even better, I can cause damage to their rear. But I need to be cautious since the opponents are a race I don’t know about.

With caution in mind, Chikara sent order to the Queen to deploy the Transcendent Units as soon as possible to the frontline. One of the units was born with the innate ability to infiltrate so Chikara sent it to the Rift where it had to avoid detection from the races there.

She wanted the opponents to be busy dealing with their rear while she wanted to push back the frontline back to the Rift. She wanted to gain an advantage in this Star Battle.

The Elf beside her was watching something on the system’s panel. She was watching the Elves who stood against the enemies fall one by one.

She had an expression that was filled with sadness as well as reluctance. She knew that this was the Star Battle where she had to make some sacrifice but to see the overwhelming power that came from the opponent, especially that the opponent was utilizing the undead element filled her with slight anger and annoyance.

It was because there was the belief that the Undead Race was not only low in potential but also detestable as they used the living’s corpse to even exist. Add to the fact that the Elves were higher in potential than they were, and her anger rose steadily.

But she knew that her anger was useless. She was defeated in her Star Battle, and Chikara for some reason decided to keep her. She did not know for certain for what purpose but she had a guess since Chikara’s race was the Gling.

Since she became the servant of another Planet Master, she had to obey all of Chikara’s orders, lest she knew exactly how she would end up.

Then she saw another panel that showed the Elf King’s dissatisfaction while returning from the Hive, where the Queen of the Gling Swarm resided. Returning to the Sacred Tree where the Elves resided, the Elf King felt like his life had turned for the worse ever since their defeat.

“If we weren’t lost, we would have all of the power we need to at least bring the enemies to be our equal, not like this.” The Elf King, of course, knew the latest news about the three races at the Rift and the action on both their side and his side.

The Elf King only dared to say this after he left the Contaminated Soil, since he realized that the Queen could perceive things in the Contaminated Soil.

As for his attendants who had been carrying the Etherium, they could not comment on anything since the individual in front of them was the highest authority in their Elf Race.

Besides, what the Elf King had said was what they had in mind as well.

“When I return, I need to deploy the highest guard to the frontline. Otherwise, that Queen might protest the lack of our strong individuals.” The Elf King murmured while continuing his walk.

The rest naturally followed. The area then changed from a wasteland filled with Contaminated Soil with the lush flora and trees around, where Ether freely flowed in the soil as well as the air.

But then the Elf King shivered, like he had perceived something that shocked him. He knelt on the ground as the forest trees suddenly slithered to a certain point in front of the King.

“Mother Nature…what brings your majestic presence to my humble place?” the Elf King asked and the attendants were also following the King, kneeling.

They did not expect that their god would appear directly in their presence. What was going on that demanded her presence so much?

The figure was humanoid, but its skin was made from bark, brown and a bit hard to touch. But the facial figure was something that the Elf King recognized from some time ago.

“I just wanted to talk to you. Is that fine with you here?” The voice of Mother Nature was gentle and soft, hearing it caused the Elves to relax and even soothe their heart.

“It would be my honor to be able to speak with someone of your stature.” The Elf King felt that this was his lucky day since the very figure he revered wanted to talk to him.

Perhaps they would talk about something small but gradually turn it big. The Elf King was expecting that in his heart, but the first sentence the figure in front of him said was surprising to him.

“Sybil, it has been a long time since we've had a relaxing chat like this. So tell me what you are thinking about the current situation, no, about yourself first.”

The Elf King Sybil was thinking deeply since this was someone who had been with him the longest, even during the Star Battle.

“I am fine. But I think I have been burdened by something bigger and honestly speaking, I think I am a failure as a ruler to my race.” Sybil said with honesty in mind. He felt that his current position was not because he was capable but more of a spiritual figure.

Add to the fact that they lost the Star Battle but were still kept by the Metamorphic God, it made Sybil terrified and had some nights without good sleep. He had thought that his race’s situation was getting worse by the day.

“You should not blame yourself so much, child.” The figure patted Sybil’s shoulder as she continued, “At least we survive and that is all that matters. As for a better life, it is something that you need to fight for. Not just for your own self but also for the individuals below you.”

Sybil cast his gaze downward. He did not dare to meet the gaze of the one he adored so much now that he had nothing to show. He was filled with shame and embarrassment that he felt like hiding in the forest.

But he kept trying to get his race to get better treatment by the Glings as it was the only thing he could do. But the fruit of his result did not show up. No, the treatment of the Queen of the Gling Swarm toward them did not change in the slightest.

He felt anger at the Queen and at the Metamorphic God for besting them in the Star Battle, for treating them like an energy source for her race to develop while they were malnourished.

But he could not let that show since his race was in the mercy of the Queen and the Metamorphic God. He did not know what else to do, so he felt grievance.

“What should I do? Nothing I do seems to improve my race’s situation. If I knew that the situation would turn out like this, I would have fought to the very last.” Sybil lamented to himself.

“No, you are born into this world with a different purpose and reason. You should cherish yourself and those around you so that you can build a proper civilization.” Mother Nature spoke.

“But under the rule of the Metamorphic God and the Queen, we are oppressed, treated like livestock whose purpose is to become fuel for their growth! What are we supposed to do?” Sybil’s last question was directed at both him and Mother Nature.

The figure went silent. She also did not know what else she could do to improve her race situation. To her, her race was like her child, precious and she also hoped that they would grow to be strong enough to be without her.

She knew that her times were numbered, and her race was also facing something similar. But she did not have anything that could change it.

At least, please let the Elf Race be free.

The figure closed her eyes, as if thinking about Sybil’s question. Then she did not continue that direction of discussion.

“I don’t know, child. I am sorry that I am not capable enough that you all lost to them.”

Sybil actually did not even resent her for their defeat at the Star Battle. To hear that Mother Nature spoke of it as if it were her responsibility struck him in his heart.

“No, you are only doing your thing. It is we who let you down. But I want to know the current situation at the frontline.” Sybil then raised his head and looked expectantly at the figure.

“The frontline…is being pushed deeper into the territory of the Glings and also steadily reaching for our Sacred Tree near the Rift.” Mother Nature replied.

“The exact situation, what is the exact situation?” Sybil asked for more details. He knew that his race had deployed a group near there to guard something that the Glings deemed precious.

“Child, the situation there is not good. The group, along with the nest there is completely eliminated.”

Hearing that caused Sybil’s expression to change. He knew the complete individuals who were assigned to that group. They were the expert at long-range attack so they definitely caused difficulties to anyone who dared to attack them.

But to hear that they were completely eliminated was something Sybil found hard to believe.

“Then what are the enemies that attacked them? Are they the Transcendents from the other side of the Rift?” Sybil asked as a King. He needed to know the estimated power the enemy possessed.

With a soft voice, Mother Nature replied, “They are using the Undead Element as their energy source. Their number, strength, techniques, and armament are better than yours. That is why they were able to do that.”

Sybil went silent. He had already calculated the necessary force to fight against the enemy's deployed Transcendent Group. He felt that exchanging a group of his race’s fighters to find out about the enemy’s capability was not a loss.

But he had to admit that the loss of his fellow brothers was not easy for him. His heart felt sorrow as he confirmed their death.

He once again looked at the figure in front of him and said, “Then we have to overwhelm them before they can use their Undead Element to generate more of the Undead and the energy source!”

The figure nodded her head, in agreement with what Sybil said.

“If you already feel better, then do your duty as a king. Your people await you.” The soft voice spoken by Mother Nature reverberated as her figure unraveled back to the nearby trees and vegetation.

Sybil then slowly rose to his feet, and his attendants followed right after him. They treated this event as an important thing between their god and their king. They would keep it in their heart to their death.

Sybil’s eyes looked at the distant frontline where the Rift was supposed to be before he continued walking toward the Sacred Tree where the King resided. His attendants walked after him, accompanying him.
