“Water gentlemen”

As the words left Mikhail’s mouth, four men with black suits emerged from nothingness into being.

Did he just summon a bunch of monsters with no typing? That's against the rules, isn’t it?

When two of the summoned men charged at Bold he realized he couldn’t just stay in his mind with his references and typed the code for his shagai shoot. The shagai that appeared on his hand was a goat formed. He nailed it towards one of the men.

The shagai locked on its target, bulleted towards it and successfully landed on its chest and blew up, causing the man to disappear. The other man, however, closed in on him and raised his hand for a punch but Bold dodged the punch by ducking and slammed his head on the man’s ribs. It was enough to make the man disappear.

But before he could catch a break he saw a cyan snake rushing towards him. Quickly falling to the ground, he dodged it. Mikhail formed a smile on his face and lowered his arm. Perhaps he was hoping that his attack would miss. Afterall, it would be game over if it connected.

Bold immediately started typing on his wristboard and the shagai that appeared on his hand was sheep formed. It was the perfect attack against multiple enemies. Bold nailed the shagai towards Mikhail when he rushed towards him with his remaining men.

The bullet took the form of a sheep’s head and levitated in the air, then it dispersed into multiple small particles. Just as Bold was grinning at his successful attack, Mikhail jumped and the two gentlemen put their hands under his leg allowing him to jump a second time. And his second flight was high enough to dodge all the bullets and land in front of Bold. The remaining men were destroyed in the volley of bullets but that did not matter to Mikhail. When Bold tried to type again Mikhail dashed towards him and landed a straight punch on his jaw.

Stunned and stupefied, Bold stumbled a few steps back but Mikhail showed no mercy and threw jabs after jabs. Bold blocked it with his arms and was slowly getting comfortable with the situation but a hook punch that came from his left connected with his chin and he almost fell to the ground. When his opponent was losing balance, Mikhail landed a devastating spear kick on his knees and Bold took a few weak strides backward and fell on the ground.

But before Mikhail could finish the fight, Bold grabbed a rock from the ground and threw it at his face. It wasn’t hard for Mikhail to dodge but it did give Bold a time to get back on his feet.  He put his hand in his bag and drew out his sword and tried poking it at his opponent.

“Why don’t you pull out your dagger, huh?” asked Bold
“I don’t need to”

Indeed It wasn’t hard for Mikhail to dodge but the attacks were enough to put some distance between them. Bold tried to poke while holding the sword in his left hand and typing the codes with his right. But that action was impossible to commit. He had to look at the wristboard when he typed and when his attention wavered, Mikhail could easily dive in and beat him up. So instead he charged at Mikhail with full commitment and started to slash and swing his sword with all his strength.

“Hey, you’re swinging your sword too far. That could get you in trouble”

Perhaps what he said was true. He was throwing too much energy into the swings and it could become easily tiresome. But Bold did not care to take instructions from an opponent. When Bold swung his sword as hard as he could, Mikhail ducked to the ground and swept his leg. The momentum of his swing made it extremely easy for his feet to be pulled into the air and Bold slammed on the ground with his chest. Mikhail quickly rolled and sat on Bold’s back and pulled his left arm and locked it on his back.

“Ow ow ow…Ugh”.

The choke was unbearably painful.

“Gahhh. I surrender. I surrender” said Bold.

At those words everyone gathered around them. But most of them were there to congratulate Mikhail on his victory and ogle at his skills. Bold pulled himself up amidst the crowd, cleaned his clothes and headed for the bench but Mikhail’s voice was heard from behind him.

“Nice fight, Bold”

When Bold turned around Mikhail gave him one of his most proudful smiles. Bold nodded and turned around.

“Alright, next fight?” asked Vlad.

Kenji arrived next to Vlad this time and he was offered the box. He put his hands into it and drew out a piece of paper and read it out loud.

“Amanda”

She casually walked towards them and nodded with her head upon arriving.

“Get into position. Please”.

When the two were far away from each other Kenji drew his double sai out of his bag but magically the sais shapeshifted into daggers. Amanda dug out a dagger and placed her free hand upon her wristboard.

“BEGIN” yelled Vlad.

Kenji speeded towards his opponent and Amanda started vigorously typing. Kenji was fast. Amanda sat on the ground and placed her left hand on the ground.  Kenji arrived right in front of her and attempted to stab her with his dagger. But a giant spike emerged from the ground and stabbed his chest instead.

The spike stretched from the ground all the way up to the sky with Kenji on its tip. Eventually, the balance was lost and Kenji fell off from it. Amanda backed away from him a few meters. As long as she had her mother earth spell to create platforms with she was confident that she could beat anyone.  And during this time Kenji grabbed his chest in pain and barely managed to get himself back on his feet.

He raised his hands and the sais that fell on the ground levitated and came flying back to his hands. Amanda gave him a mocking glare but Kenji did not take it as an insult. If anything, this was an inspiration for him to try and be more cautious. He typed on his wristboard and three blue orbs appeared behind him. It was the spell named triplet orbs. When Amanda started to type on her wristboard Kenji charged at her. And when she placed her hand on the ground Kenji jumped to the side in an attempt to dodge any platforms that may suddenly emerge from the ground while the three orbs dashed towards Amanda instead of him.

A wall emerged from the ground and blocked the passage for the orbs. However, those orbs did not collide with the wall. Instead, they slowly turned around the wall and gathered around Amanda. Flabbergasted by the maneuverings of the orbs, Amanda jumped back and two of the orbs bulleted at the place where she was previously standing and exploded.  The other orb went straight at her instead. Amanda had no choice but to block the blow with her arms when it reached her. The impact managed to throw her to the ground and she lost her grip on her dagger.

When she got up to her feet she saw Kenji advancing towards her. She ran away from him, typed in the codes, and placed her hand on the ground. The ground beneath her crumbled, a crescent platform rose from her two sides and formed a dome upon her head. Without leaving any entrance or exit, the dome made of earth completely defended her from every angle and protected her like an eggshell.

Kenji stared at the dome, puzzled as to how he should attack her when all entry was sealed until he realized Amanda could attack this very moment due to remembering his position. So, he went back to the other side of the wall. He took a position and observed the dome carefully.  Right then he heard the earth behind him moving and instinctively ducked. A platform with a spear-like tip flew above him at that instant.

Had Kenji not dodged in time the platform could have easily pierced through his body and hung him like a pair of sausages in the air. But he was not naïve enough to celebrate a mere survival. Amanda somehow knew his location and he had to move fast. But he wasn’t keen on going just anywhere.

Instead, he got up, ran around the platform and stabbed into its roots with his twin daggers and climbed along with it until he reached on top of it. Now, wherever Amanda tried to create a platform for an attack he could see beforehand and jump away from it. Although the safety of his landing was not guaranteed. He pondered for a few seconds on his weakness until he realized the platform was in fact quite close to the wall Amanda had created previously. He put his daggers back into his bag and steeled himself.

Finally, he jumped from the tip of the block to the wall and barely managed to grab its edge. It took him a while but by sheer strength and will Kenji managed to pull himself to the top of the wall. He then alertly observed his surroundings, waiting for his opponent to make a move. Just then a giant platform shaped like a fist rose from beneath the roots of the previous platform Kenji was standing on and slammed into it. The fist-shaped platform was strong enough to shred it to half and the top half simply fell to the ground with a thunderous sound.

“Amanda just disabled his only way down” yelled Emma.

“Yeah. If Kenji tries to jump off he could be greeted with a punch to the entire body” added Bold.

“Huh, really? From how I see it Amanda doesn’t know where Kenji is” said Mikhail calmly.

“Wait, really?” gasped Thompson.

“If she really knew she could have just attacked Kenji when he was struggling to get on top of the wall” said Mikhail.

“That’s true” agreed Bold.
