“What the hell are you people doing?” she asked with irritation.

“We are celebrating the sweetness of life. Join us, young one. And let us sing and dance till the sun rises” yelled Thompson with a drink in hand.

“You know we’re all in a death game, right? How could you all be so careless?” said Amanda with a desperate voice.

“Hey, relax mam. A little fun won’t hurt anyone. You can’t just be paranoid about survival 24/7” said Mikhail.

“I’ve been strolling around the city to gain more cash and find some sort of a loophole that will help us survive in this game. All you’ve been doing is playing around and drugging yourself with music” said Amanada with scorn.

Mikhail showed an innocent smile, jumped off the table and sat on the chair.

“Amanda if you’re trying to boast about your virtues then that very boasting will turn it into an ego trip” he said casually.

“Ugh, what the hell are you even talking about? Now it’s my fault for warning you about the dangers? Finding gold is mandatory for the survival of this group”.

“Is it though? I mean, we already got the spells. All we need to do is train a little” said Mikhail.

“And end up like Emma’s sister?” Amanda blurted with a straight face.

Everyone stopped dead in their movement and quieted down, only the music was running and humming as the tension within the silence dawned on them all.

“Training won’t lead us anywhere. More info about this world is necessary. More gold is necessary, do you understand?” declared Amanda.

“Yeah. That is true. This world is heavily inspired by capitalism afterall” said Mikhail.

“Then tomorrow you guys have to go with me. I found something”

Mikhail turned off the music and looked at her, so did the others. Amanda continued:

“I found a map detailing the possible locations of one of the gems. The water gem to be specific”.

“W-w-wait? Really?” said Bold as he pulled away from Emma and arriving next to her.

“Oh? Where did you get something like that?” asked Mikhail with a bit of suspicion in his voice.

“A person I know. An acquittance. They sell info. Apparently, the reason why no one has found this gem is because it changes position every week. My friend got the map from a band of players. They told him that it was found in a chest of a dungeon quest. The idiots didn’t know how to read the symbols carved on it so they just gave it to my friend for a few measly gold. But my friend, he was kind enough to give me this. The gem’s position change is about to happen in two days. And he doesn’t have enough manpower to search for it. So, it’s up to us”.
