So she’s the Hero, she’s even stronger than me. But to think I ended up with her despite what I am. Did Maova set us up?

“You!” The Hero said with rage and disdain.

“I’ll make sure you taste so much despair it’ll stick with you forever” Maova said with malice as she walk ever closer to us. The boy simply stand there confused by the whole ordeal, seems like he have no idea what’s actually going on.

*Dash* *Clash*

Maova in a flash close the distance between the two and swing her blade at the Hero, with her using her staff to block the swing, locking their weapons.

“Heh” Maova said while having a smug grin on her as she put more force in and dig deep into the staff. She then swing her blade again at the Hero

*Swing* *Block* *Crack*

The staff cracked in half and knock the Hero back slightly. How is the boy doing I wonder? Oh he’s completely paralyzed, probably in fear or something. The Hero meanwhile seems completely overwhelmed.

“Zore!” The girl yelled out and the boy snapped out of it.

“G-Got it!” He replied while running toward Maova.

“Get lost!” Maova said while aura of darkness appeared in her left hand and released, hitting the boy.

“Gah!” He is send flying away and lay down on the ground injured.

“Zore!” The Hero cried out.

“I… I’m fine!” The boy said as he gets back up despite his injuries from just one attack.

“What? Aren’t I the more concerning issue at hand?” Maova said taunting the Hero. She looks back at her with a furious expression looking ready to continue fighting..

“[Blade of Light]!” She chanted as the broken handle of the staff brighten up and blade made of light appeared, quite an interesting magic, I think I’ll take note of that. She rush in toward Maova who isn’t tense in the slightest.

*Swing* *Evade*

“How sloppy” Maova taunted as she nonchalantly dodge the Hero’s swing. The boy then rush in for a follow up.

*Swing* *Parry*

“Gah!” His attack gets parried instead which led to him being launched and fall onto the ground.

“Damn you!” The Hero said as she once again prepare to take another swing at Maova.

*Swing* *Evade*

Maova dodged it nonchalantly.

*Blow*

“Wha? Aaaaaa!” A powerful gust of wind immediately manifested and blow the Hero back. Creating distance between both side.

*Snap*

Maova snaps her finger and look at the clouds above. The Hero follow suit and saw the blacken cloud and thunderous roar of the sky, looking understandably worried.

*Zap* *Evade*

The Hero managed to avoid the lightning strike if not completely unharmed, grazing the strike.

*Zap*

“Aaaaah!” The boy screamed in pain as he’s also targeted. Unfortunately he cannot avoid the bolt from the sky. The Hero looked in shock

“Here’s a present for you” Maova said as she raised her hand up.

*Zap*

A large spear of lighting appeared on her raised hand as the lighting reach her, molding it into that form.

*Throw* *Hit*

It hits the boy and he’s sent flying. She must be holding back a lot considering he’s not dead yet.

“[Heal]!” The Hero’s shouted as she quickly rush to and heals her ally. Quickly he stand back up and ready to keep fighting despite the fact that such a spell can only heal so much.

“Quite a camaraderie you have, letting your ally keep fighting for you over and over” Maova said once again taunting the Hero, who glares daggers at her.

“[Light Spear]!” The Hero chanted as giant spear of light is launched toward Maova.

*Catch*

“Huh!?” The Hero is left flabbergasted as Maova catch it without any issue.

“I’ll return this” Maova said.

*Jump* *Throw*

She jump up and throw the spear back toward the Hero.

*Evade*

Who managed to dodge the attack, however the ground in front of her is left a hole in the ground. The boy rush to her side ready to keep fighting.

“Haaa!” That guy let out a cry of battle as he rush in recklessly.

*Swing* *Evade* *Kick*

Not only did Maova dodge his attack but she kicks him in the gut sending him flying back toward us.

*Cough*

He coughed up blood as he kneel down in pain. The Hero seeing this also rush in. They never learn do they.

*Swing* *Parry*

“Gah!” How many time has it been that they’re send flying trying to fight Maova up close I wonder… Well the Hero also get sent flying once again. Now the boy once again stand back up, despite the damage he received, Maova is clearly not thrilled about this.

“You know what? I’ll entertain you and won’t counter for a while, how about it?” Maova said casually as she look at the two. Both of them get up despite the injuries.

“Take this!” The Hero said

*Swing* *Block* *Swing* *Block* *Swing* *Block*

As she swing her blade of light toward Maova. First a diagonal slash from left up, one right down and an upward swing, with all of them getting blocked by Maova with no effort, much to her frustration.

“Is that it?” Maova taunted. The Hero’s face deep red with anger and irritation.

“Haaa!” She then did an overhead swing.

*Catch*

She catch the blade with her bare hand, no pain visible, not struggling, with a clear smirk on her face. Despite the Hero putting her full force into that swing with both of her hands, Maova catch it nonchalantly.

“You certainly do disappoint” Maova said as she refuse to let go the Hero’s blade of light, while she struggle to budge it off.

*Zam*

A blast of darkness from Maova’s palm and the Hero is once again pushed back violently. The Hero falling onto the floor barely able to stand back up.

“Haaa- Augh!” The boy once again try to attack Maova as well in response but his injuries prevented him from moving much let alone attacking, once again coughing up blood.

“I think it’s time for your buddy to rest” Maova said sounding very serious and threatening.

*Dash* *Punch*

In an instant the distance between the two is gone and Maova punch the boy right in the face, his body spinning and flying away, I don’t think Maova pull much punches with that. He’s now lying on the floor neck snapped barely alive.

“Zore!... Rosia!” She called out to the boy no doubt concerning about him after slowly standing back up again, but why me as well after a sudden pause?

“What? I’m not injured” I said.

“It’s not that! Please help us!” She asked sounding desperate, basically pleading.

*Swing* *Clash*

Maova do a non-serious overhead swing toward the Hero who is struggling to block it and push back.

“Kill the boy” Maova said as she look at me as well.

“What!? Don’t do as it said!” The Hero said to me. ‘It’ huh?... Well, as if they’ll both survive anyway, might as well. I walk up to the boy, who looked up to see me.

“R-Ro...” He said, or rather trying to.

“Don’t!” The Hero said.

“Do it” Maova said. I raise my blade and prepare to swing.

“Noooo!” The Hero cried out.

*Slash*

“A-Aa” The Hero let out completely shocked.

*Blow*

“Ah!” The Hero is blown back even more and fall to the ground close to me, the boy is dead. One of deaths on my hands now… I stare at the Hero.

“W-Why?” She asked.

“Simple” I replied, not like she’ll live to tell the tale. I take a few step back and ready to show her the secret she’ll keep to her early grave.

*Flap*

“Y-You!” She said. My pink demonic wings can be seen as I manifested it.

*Dash*

She’s rushing toward me quickly despite her wounds. Perhaps that wasn’t my best move.

*Grab*

“Huh!?” She let out. Maova rush to me quickly and grab her before she could get close, surprising the Hero. That was extremely fast even if the distance between all of us was only a few feet.

“I’m your opponent” Maova said tightening her grip with a glare toward the Hero with great deal of malice and rage.

*Throw*

She throw the Hero at high speed toward a nearby wall of rock and dirt.

*Crash*

“Ugh” The Hero is clearly injured by that throw, but she gets back up.

“[Light Arrow]!” She yelled out as multiple arrow of lights appeared and target both of us. Suddenly a shield of darkness appeared before us and block every arrow came our way.

“Pathetic” Maova taunted with a smirk.

“Grrr!” The Hero let out sounding very frustrated.

*Dash*

She then dashed toward us with Maova not being intimidated in the slightest, looking more amused than anything else.

*Fly*

At this point I fly away from the danger, she’s stronger than me so I’d rather not get caught in the crossfire.

The Hero still gripping to her half-broken staff powered by light then rushes toward Maova once again. Maova put the barrier away and-

*Clash*

Once again they locked blades.

“I’ll eradicate you once and for all!” The Hero proclaimed sounding completely oblivious of her opponent’s superior strength, it’s on a completely different level.

“That’s my line” Maova said as she smirk at the Hero, slowly but surely putting more and more pressure into the clash, slowly overwhelming the Hero

“For all the people you’ve killed… you shall fall!” The Hero declared, despite being on the back foot struggling to put any more force in to counteract Maova’s.

“Ha! As if you’re any different, what about all other lives you’ve taken? It’s so wrong that I’m the one killing isn’t it? Oh how TRAGIC it is!” She pushes the Hero back as she emphasized on what she said, who is unable to withstand the superior might of her opponent and recoiled back.

“Ugh…” The Hero let out a sound of pain as she once more being pushed back.

“Let’s see how entertaining your dance with death is” Maova said condescendingly as her hands brighten up.

Suddenly multiple chains of light launch toward the Hero.

*Evade*

She barely managed to evade them with slight graze here and there. The chains dissipated.

“[Flame Burst]!” The Hero yelled out as a big ball of flame is sent toward Maova.

*Boom* *Sizz*

Hitting her head on… only for it to do nothing, Maova simply silently stand there as the smoke clears.

“W-What?” Maova have a smirk on her face with the obvious advantages she have over the Hero and the reaction she just give, she then raised her right hand.

*Shine*

A ball of light appeared in her hands and she back away slowly still having the confident look on her.

*Flap* *Fly*

She shows her wings and flies up and-

*Throw*

Throw the ball of light toward the Hero, with the Hero obviously reacting to the situation at hand.

“[Light Barrier]!” The Hero shouted as a barrier of light surrounded her.

*Boom* *Sizz*

The ball exploded on impact against the barrier of light, creating a giant burst of flames and light. The sounds of fire can be heard in the aftermath of the explosion, and standing there is the Hero with the entire barrier completely destroyed, her body greatly burnt and herself barely able to stand, remnants of the explosion can be seen with the charred surface.

*Land*

“Heh. What a pathetic display” Maova said as she slowly walk over to the Hero, landing back.

“[Light Blast]!” The Hero yelled out letting a massive burst of light.

*Boom*

And Maova completely unscathed by the devastating attack, still confidently but slowly walking over. The Hero shudder and slowly backing away, I doubt it’s to abandon the fight, but to create distance between the two, as soon as Maova reach her, it’ll all be over.

“[Light Cannon]!” The Hero yelled out as a massive ray of light and mana is launched toward Maova.

*Boom*

But once again it did nothing. Maova could’ve ended this at any moment, but choose to drag this out.

“Is that all you have to offer? Is this how you’ll save humanity? Are you really a hero or are you a comedian?” Maova gloated as she keep slowly moving closer.

“Shut up! [Light Arrow]!” The Hero lashed out as she launch many arrows of light, but much like everything else no damage was dealt. Still something about her is better and stronger.

“How does it feel to do this all over and over? Does it not tire you?” Maova asked, sounding somewhat condescending.

“Just die! [Light Arrow]!” Her body glow more and more, like her power is increasing, I’m not certain what’s going on, but I’m confident not even that will close the gap. The arrows once again did nothing.

“Where’s the power to rip me to shreds? What you used on me oh so many times? Perhaps it’s running out? Or are you not so devoted to this cause as you believed?” Maova asked further mocking the Hero more and more.

“Ahhh! Dieee! [Light Cannon]!” The Hero keep flinging more spells to absolutely zero effect. She breakdown more and more as Maova continue her gloating.

“Are you certain someone who continue to live on in a new life, as if nothing happened, is a human? I’m certainly am not, what about you? Are you really human, are you really on the humanity’s side?” Maova asked gloating more and more.

“Go to hell!!! [Light Blast]!!!” She’s more and more desperate with each and every line Maova said. Still having some power left in her to resist. Even if her power continued to increase the gap is still too wide, if it weren’t maybe she’ll actually deal some damage, but alas it wasn’t meant to be.

“Still not listening are you? You are truly nothing but a lose cause” Maova muttered. One trying to back away and other getting closer, when will she end it?

“I’ll kill you!!! [Light Cannon]!” The Hero certainly doesn’t listen, disregarding everything Maova have said, and not seeing the futility of her situation. The blast might connect but it doesn’t register. At this point Maova just stop moving and stand there still confident.

“Perhaps you’ll find peace eventually, but it seems today is not the day, then again I went a bit crazy there didn’t I?” Maova said, explaining herself but the tone of which she said it isn’t meant to be apologetic, it’s condescending. Even with all she’s doing to this girl I really can’t be bothered, I might be even worse than she is.

“Begone! Begone! Begone! [Light Arrow]!” The Hero become more and more desperate, in her tone, in her expression, and certainly her actions. Still nothing came of that desperation.

“Anything new to add to the table? Or are you going to fling you spells about waiting for the inevitable?” Maova asked tanking the spells like they’re but wind.

“[Light Cannon]! [Light Arrow]! [Light Burst]” She use multiple spells in a row but even then the damage she dealt is still zero, no matter how much you add of them, nothing will change.

“Still going at it? Hmhp. At this point are you good at anything but mindless fighting for a cause? Being a martyr that sacrifice even your own true will? Regardless of your say in it” Maova asked, sounding a bit more malicious than before.

“[Flame Arrow]! [Light Burst]!” Still keep flinging more and more spell, she ought to run out of mana soon yet she doesn’t care. Still nothing done.

“It’s been something… but now it’s time for the curtain to close” Maova said. Quickly close the distance they have and taken the Hero off guard.

*Swing* *Grab*

She panic and swing her sword at Maova, who once again catch it with ease.

“You’re nothing but a joke here, aren’t you?” Maova asked, not expecting an answer.

*Grip* *Scatter*

The blade of light dissipate in her hand, and the Hero wobble back in exhaustion and hopelessness.

*Grab*

Maova close in and once again grabbed the Hero by the neck, lifting her body up.

“I was expecting you to be more entertaining than this. Too bad but the play ends now” Maova said condescendingly to the gravely injured Hero who can only look at Maova with disdain and nothing more.

*Dash* *Crash*

She smash the Hero’s head against the nearby wall, literally wiping the wall with her face running at high speed. She then switch to grabbing the Hero by her leg and-

*Smash*

Swung her body against the rocky floor, then switch to grabbing her by the neck again.

*Punch* *Punch* *Punch*

Punch the Hero in the gut trice. Who coughed up more and more blood. Maova clearly isn’t anywhere near done, as she grab the Hero by the face.

*Sizz*

Using fire magic to severely burn the Hero’s face.

*Throw* *Crash*

Throw the Hero onto the floor at lighting speed and crash into the ground.

*Leap* *Stomp*

Jumping toward the Hero and stomped her back, no doubt crushing many bones. Maova then grab her by her leg again. At this point the Hero can’t even make any noise.

*Throw*

And then she throw her up in the air.

*Fly* *Punch*

She fly up to pursue her, and when she reach her she punch her and send her flying higher upward.

*Fly* *Punch* *Punch* *Punch*

I fly up as well to see what she’s planning. She did the same as last time, punching the Hero farther up. Including the previous strike that totaled up to four, and at this point both of them are above the clouds.

*Spin*

As the Hero began losing speed as she fly up due to the force, Maova wait at the right spot and spin her body.

*Kick*

Performing a spin kick that send the Hero downward at unimaginable speed, like a swing of an axe.

*Crash* *Fall*

The Hero certainly crash onto the surface, Maova then descends down to the ground quickly, what now?

*Stab*

As she descended down she ready her blade and stab the Hero, or whatever remains of her.

At this point I descend to see the damage dealt, and it’s obviously not pretty. A large crater is made from that, pool of blood can be seen from it. I can’t even make her body out properly. Maova walk out of the crater she created and still holding onto the bloody blade.

“It’s not over” Maova suddenly said, what does that mean? Hm? Suddenly the Hero get up, her body so greatly twisted by the damaged dealt, with little blood in her body left and barely held together. How can anyone survive something like that especially after the grave injury they already received? Her body is completely unrecognizable, her body greatly charred, with many wounds with blood dripping out, limbs contorting unnaturally as if doing everything possible to make it even move, very little clothing left on her, with whatever white of it dyed red by its wearer’s blood, she’s like a corpse still walking.

“At this point she’s just a walking corpse, even if she escape us or whatever her wounds are too severe” Maova explained sounding somewhat bored.

“So what should we do?” I asked. At this point the Hero is limping toward us slowly, and desperate.

“We’ll amuse her for a while” She said as she notice and take the boy’s corpse and throw it in front of the Hero. Her face is clearly that of despair even if it’s heavily charred. She slowly move her head to look at us, back at the corpse, and back at us.

“What’s the point of this?” I callously asked.

“As I said before, the Hero will reincarnated again at some point, I just think that if such a traumatic experience were inflicted they might lose their function, but really that’s just a way of justifying my grudge” She explained.

“So that’s how it is” I commented. At this point the Hero basically can’t do anything.

“This is pathetic to watch isn’t it?” Maova asked.

“Certainly” I replied. She still tried to approach us but her barely functioning legs won’t get her go anywhere, it’s a miracle she can move at all.

“L-L-L-[Light… Chain]!” The Hero barely called out the spells as chain of light began restricting Maova.

*Crack* *Shatter*

But Maova can easily get out of it with no trouble at all, the Hero can only process her hopelessness in despair.

“Hah… She’s by far the most miserable person period” Maova said, despite being the one inflicting this onto the Hero.

“At this point killing her is a mercy isn’t it?” I commented, especially since she’ll be dead regardless.

“Yeah, but we might as well leave her here” Maova said.

“Really?” I asked.

“Nope” She quickly replied playfully.

*Snap* *Sizz*

With a snap of a finger the boy’s body and the Hero’s combusted.

*Sizz*

“May your duty forever extinguished along with this flame” Maova chillingly said as she look at the body burning and contorting in silent and painful existence...
