Sorry about the late update to the ones who have been reading this novel avidly.

I have been working on my new novel Gamers App for the past two weeks and I couldn't get to write as much as I wish was possible, so I hope you are content with this chapter for now.

Nick constantly hit the downed beastkin in the chest with burning anger.

"Nick, stop!

We need him alive to answer some of our questions."

[Stop hitting him for now. His wound's are heavy and we don't want him dead, for now.]

I'm going to check on Rosela for now and make sure she is not hurt."

"You do that.

I'll take care of him."

*Nod*

Nick left the beastfolk in the trusted hands of Munnji and he went to the earthen dome where Rosela was.

*Crumble*

"Rosela....

As soon as he was in front of the dome , it crumbled  as Munnji willed it and Rosela's figure was revealed.

"Hah hah..

She was breathing heavily and her eyes were dilated. She seemed to be suffering a lot.

"Rosela, what's wrong? Why are you like this?

Answer me!"

Nick pinched a Rosela so he could get a reaction from her , but she didn't respond at all. She seemed to have lost the ability to speak and was in a strange state.

"Kahahahahaha....

You foolish human. You have doomed yourself with your own hands.

Kuahahaha...

"What are you talking about you fucker?

Did you do this to her, because if you did...

The beastfolks face was bloody , but calm. He didn't seemed threatened by Nick's words at all. His eyes devoid of any hope.

A cornered beast was a dangerous one and Nick knew it well.

"You'll do what? 

You'll kill me, is that it?

Munnji grabbed the beastfolk by the neck and brought him up.

"Listen here and listen well.

Undo what you have done to her and we'll let you go, I promise you."

The beastfolk stared at Munnji with flaming eyes and laughed.

The beastfolks words didn't please Munnji at all. His arm bulged to almost twice it's size , but he restrained his anger and smiled.

He approached the beastfolk and squated to his level.

"What did you do to her?

"Kuhn , you seem to still think that the situation is the same.

If you haven't noticed yet the status quo has changed and  to save her you need me ."

Munnji tighten his grip.

"Screw  you, traitor. "

A dagger made of water formed in Nicks hand and he rested it on the beastfolks neck.

"Talk...

'Kuh, this bastard ,he's serious. Those eyes give me the creeps.'

"Fine I'll tell you.

She has ingested a type of position that is designed to make the one who takes it talk. They will tell you  all their dirty little secrets and as much as they want to resist they can't do anything."

"You fed this potion to her? 

Hehe...kuahahaha , you really have a death wish for you to do such a thing."

Anyway the potion as miraculous as it is it has some side effects of its own. Mixed in it are several poisonous substances and if the one who drinks it doesn't get the correct antidote in time...

"She will die."

Nick didn't like that answer at all.

"Well you better hope you that she lives because trust me when I tell you that of that really happens then I'll torture you in ways that haven't been invented yet.

You won't die and will feel the pain penetrate your soul for a long long time .

So, what is it going to be? Are you going to give me the antidote or am I going to skin you alive; over and over and over."

Hahahahaha, you poor fool. I didn't tell you that so you could heal her. I told you so you will suffer as much as possible knowing that you can't do anything to save her.

The old man ,he's the one who concocted the potion and he was the only one who could create the antidote for it and you let him die , kahahahahaha..
