A young boy is staring at a screen.
The screen is blank, all it's showing is white light.
The boy sighs.
It took him a very long time to get this thing working and now it's already busted!
He takes a second to look at the computer.
Well, it looks more like a terminal really, on the bottom is a symbol of a cat.
This symbol is not new to the boy, he has seen it all around him for the past month!
On the computers! on the doors! on the signboards! on the toilets!?!?
The boy sighs again, he's been doing this a lot lately.
Maybe a walk will help him.
He walks away from the terminal to the blast sheet doors.
"open"(z)
The door reacts to his voice and opens.
It's a good thing he got the power generator working in this place.
Now his sister won't have to pry open the doors, or at least now she doesn't have an excuse.
The boy passes a drink dispenser and pushes the cat button on it.
A cup falls down and is slowly filled with a fluid called mountain dew.
It's the only thing he can drink here...honestly he would have preferred some apple juice or even water.
His sister likes it though.
He takes a sip.
God. he can feel the sugar going down his throat...
He makes his back to another computer.
This one is actually bigger.
This place has so many computers and each one has a specific purpose, it gets kind of annoying after a while.
The boy sits down, takes another sip and reads the text on the screen.
The boy takes a minute to read through the whole thing.
"Hmm, this wasn't a bad chapter! I wonder what Wike's deal is though..."(z)
The boy pulls out a notebook and starts writing in it.
He passes by his theories about what Kthanid is.
Or what the first tumor might be.
Or what does Ruby know that's so important!
Or his biggest one! what is the miracle man's plan?
He knows what he is of course, but he doesn't know what his goal is!
The boy writes down everything he knows about Wike so far.
Which is very little but he is still able to fill two pages.
The boy closes the book and sighs.
He takes a second to remind himself that these are real people.
He can't help himself, there is nothing for entertainment here.
The only thing he can do in his free time is daydream about the adventure he reads about.
It was quite shocking to find out that they were real people.
He was even able to talk to one of them, Kay.
She agreed(?) to help them.
His sister was supposed to call her, but she ended up calling Ruby by accident.
And now she refuses to talk to anyone else!!
Who does she think she is! she only skimmed through the log!
And every time you try to talk to her about the lore she just calls you a nerd!
God! she can be so difficult sometimes!
The boy sighs for the hundredth time this day...well evening...
"well...I guess she isn't all bad....."(z)
After all, she is the one who found this place.
And she did most of the work on the time bubble.
But after that, she was of no help...
The boy gets up and walks to the most important machine in this place.
A transporter.
The machine isn't really that big, just a disk with a screen to put coordinates.
And of course, on the disk is the cat symbol.
This thing is the boy's ticket out of this universe
The only problem is that he needs the coordinates.
Which he can't get because...
The boy looks over to a window.
He sees a broken tower.
If it was intact he could use it to find the coordinates in seconds.
Too bad that's not his current reality.
But to his luck, while looking through all the computers, he made a discovery.
This place is not unique to his universe!
In fact! every single universe in the Omniverse has one of these!
If he can just connect to one of them with a working tower he could get the coordinates!
Of course, he doesn't plan to go to Kay's universe.
But he still plans to send his Mumbo to her.
His race always honors their deals.
He takes out a blue box.
In it is his precious Mumbo.
It has been with him all his life.
He's gonna miss it, but it's a fair compensation for his life.
Plus, he's pretty sure Kay is gonna need it more than him
He only wishes he could give her his sister Jumbo, but these things only transfer ownership if the original owner is killed or willingly gives it away.
The boy sighs if his sighs were tangible there would a huge pile of sighs right in front of him.
The boy walks over to a table.
On the table is a massive black book.
It's the only other thing he uses to kill time.
Although he only reads it when he's waiting for the log to update.
The book is a manual for this place.
And he doesn't just know that because it also has the cat symbol.

He says the name out loud a couple of times.
Like the name's meaning will magically appear like some kind of demon.
Or the owner of the name will scream in your head to not wear out his name.
You wonder if the name is just a bunch of random letters or if they have meaning.
".....maybe it's an acronym?....Super.....um...Accelerator?......I got nothing for the G....."(z)
The boy stares at the book for a while.
He has read this thing front and back.
All 3000 pages.
You'd think it would be boring but Sager's sarcastic remarks help him push through.
He flips to the first page

There's not really any more information to get out of this book.
The boy looks out the window again.
"Maybe I should get some fresh air. X is gonna walk up soon"(z)
The boy starts walking towards the entrance, on the way he passes a screen.

It has been saying that for the past month...
Sometimes the boy swears he saw it saying one day till universes destruction...
The boy passes a bunch of broken machines.
The pieces all over the floor, some of them are staked to make a makeshift basketball hoop.
............this is how his sister passes the time..........
He walks past the mess while grumbling some insults.
Finally, he makes his way to the entrance.
The door opens automatically.
He walks out...and takes a deep breath.
The boy looks up at the orange sky.
When the siblings made the time bubble there was a star close to this place.
The light from the star got trapped here.
It wasn't really on purpose, but it resulted in this place being an eternal evening.
The orange sky calms the boy down a bit.
As long as he forgets that orange is his sister's color.
He looks at his hands.
They're small and glow blue.
These hands that he hated all his life have saved him multiple times now...
But this.....this too much......
Memories start to flood back.
He still can't believe his universe is gonna be destroyed and he can't do anything about it!
The heroes he looked up to would have done something!
They would have protected everyone and saved the universe!
But....there is no one left to protect...
And there's barely any universe left to save...
The only thing he can do is try to survive.
