Running around towards the class, for once more we heard the jingling sound of the school's bell, signaling us to hurry up.
The summoning class was easy enough to find: No one could miss a door with so many magic-like circles drawn on it.
Upon entering inside, we observed the room around us.
The floor was filled with grass and flowers along with some trees here and there, and the ceiling was open as the sun decorating the sky was shinning brighter sending it's rays down to earth like he was watching us .
A swordsman can't use their energy when the sky isn't visible after all.
This room was a perfect example of that.
If someone saw this room without knowing it's a class, they would think that they were standing in the middle of a colorful meadow.

However, except for it being colorful, it was also large.
So large in fact that I couldn't see the end of it.
"Is there a wall at the end of this room?" I wondered.
Looking at everyone else I noticed that they were looking around too.
They seemed to be looking for something in the grass and on the trees although it wasn't clear to me what was it.
"Finally you guys are here" Answered Hiiro, putting an end to his search for a moment and quickly approaching us.
"Hiiro, did we miss something? What is everyone searching for?"
"What the hell are you asking? It's the summoning class, everyone is searching for spirit stones"
His answer piqued our interest.
That was right. To summon a spirit you need a spirit stone, despite that being common knowledge, it seems I was too focused at everything that happened until now, that I completely forgot about them.
"Everyone knew about it and decided to start searching even before the bell rang. It's like a giant Easter egg hunting in here"
Stated Lisa who immediately continued her search.
That reaction was a bit surprising coming from her who is always laid back chewing her bubblegum.

"I see everyone is excited. Good that's wonderful, truly wonderful"
Despite their focus, everyone's attention shifted to the new, and rather I should say unfamiliar face entering the room.
It was a woman, that carried the aura of an instructor.
Her black hair was waving as it danced with the wind, becoming redder towards the edge.
Tied on a ponytail, it matched her bright yellow eyes.
She was wearing a sports bra along with the lower half of a military uniform.
Her abs were clearly visible which made me think that she had done it on purpose, as she walked closer to us while fixing her brown worker gloves.
"Hello everyone, for those who don't know me, the name is Mona. Mamonokawa Mona, it is!"
Pointing at herself, she formed a confident grin.
"I am assigned to teach you in-depth about summoning, and I'll not allow any slackers in my class. So by any means, I'd like to see you try"

The horribly loud teacher then continued.
"As we know, summoning is an essential part of swordsmanship, your spirit is a partner that will help you fight, it is also your last resort for when you expend your Saku Energy in a fight. Most swordsmen are able to use one to two summonings at most. However, there are people who have gone way beyond that point. Then there are people like me who were born with their energy blocked and as a result, had to rely on that power more than others need to."
"So you don't have a nature? Pfft... Why did you become a teacher then?"
Asked one of the students.
A girl with two tiny twin tails on top of her head.
"Hoh? I see this year not everyone is a coward. Say, child, do you really think that just because I'm nature-less, it means I can't fight?"
And for a moment, the wind blew strongly. Like nature was enraged with the one foolish enough to doubt this woman's skill.
Just a moment was enough time for a spiritual entity to make its appearance.
It had the silhouette of a grown man, with black skin and a bald head that was lit on fire.
He was very tall, twice the size of a human, and was glaring at the girl.

The man appeared just in front of the poor girl, looking down at her with pitch-black eyes.
"Don't talk too much little one, In a real fight, you would be dead. But then again, I can't just spout my greatness here without proof, I apologize for that mistake of mine."
"I'm sorry..."
The teacher known as Mrs. Mamonokawa then clapped her hands in a carefree way.
"Now now Agnes, you can stop scaring my students if you please"
She smiled innocently as the man-like figure, growled with a RAAAAARGH and disappeared into a cloud of smoke.
"You see my students, the pact you make with your summons binds them to your life force. And can only be broken, if the spirit or the summoner dies"
"Why don't you just summon the spirit from the very beginning then?"
I raised my hand and asked that question and in response, the teacher seemed interested.
"That's an excellent question... umm"
"Ran"
"Little Ran"
She apparently didn't know my name and stopped to think for a moment.

"Summoning spirits aren't eternal, the time in which they can manifest themselves outside the spirit realm is short. A brief quarter of an hour before disappearing for a good amount of six hours. There's only one person I've seen to hold them for hours upon hours and that person taught me all I know about them. So remember to use your summons wisely because you don't have many shots with them."
In short, summons are one last shot a swordsman has to turn around the tables. So it must be used at a time the swordsman thinks is most appropriate.
Similar to making a sneak attack in chess.
It doesn't work if you don't know the appropriate time to start moving towards your goal.

I was excited. Obtaining my own summon was much like having a doggiemon.
I wonder if it will be strong, or cute, or cool looking.
"So everyone, what you must do right now is find one of the many spirit stones hidden inside this meadow and bring it back here with you. Simple right? Or..."
She stopped for a moment after declaring it's simplicity.
However, the look at her face stated that it's everything but simple.
"Nevertheless, that will be your mission for today. Alright. Everyone on your marks, get set, and GO!!"
Suddenly her expression turned to a happy one as she declared the start of this mission called easter egg hunt.
