Background:
The Champion of Alvatria, who defeated the Disaster of Glavras...
Despite her impressive background, Garami has absolutely no experience in social interaction, and is now thrown straight into the city connecting the whole rest of the continent!! Did I forget to mention her big wallet (from selling the corpse of the Aquarect Queen) has caught the attention of some less honorable individuals?
To protect herself (or so she thinks), Garami has started a cooperation with the so-called Evil Organization, Nequitia. But, who will gain the most out of this agreement...?
Appearance:
As a Rasetsu Ogre Lord, Garami looks like a human woman, with the addition of two black horns and tattoos that looks like tears of black blood from her eyes.
She is naturally albino, making her skin pale as a ghost, her hair white in color as well, and her eyes wine-red. Her scleras are black, as the norm is for a Rasetsu Ogre. Light-blue marks around her left eye betray her ownership of the [Grudge Evil Eye] skill.
As a Lord, her body is less muscular and imposing in contrast to regular Ogre-species, as the Lord is expected to strategize and command the regular Ogres. However, even so, Garami is notably scrawnier compared to other Ogres which makes her look more human, thanks to her [Golden Ratio] skill.
While in the Water-Knot of Glavras Dungeon, Garami was using a brown battlemage robe, which emphasized on mobility. Underneath that, she was wearing simple brown pants, black shoes, and a black shirt.
After reaching civilization, Garami traded her outfit for the Dark Weaver set, which consists of a black sleeveless shirt with a wine-red jacket on top of that, black hot-pants, black boots that reach her knees, and black fingerless gloves.
Personality:
Garami is equally curious about the fantasy world but also fed up with it. The reason for the latter part is her bad first-experience with the sun. Due to that, she's actively looking for a place where she can escape the sun.
She also lacks common-sense to a great degree. due to her childhood in the Dungeon. The lack of dealing with other people besides monsters have turned Garami into an introvert. It is applaudable of her to actually move around in the city filled with people, even if she needs the assistance of her mental skills to survive the experience without chickening out.
Despite her weakness against crowds, Garami has a distinct dislike of being alone. This weakness against loneliness made her pick up the Spectermancer class, so she could obtain something to keep her company, while also being able to remove them whenever she's through with them.
Due to her rough survival-life in the Dungeon, Garami has developed into becoming quite the glutton. So much that she uses SP-consuming skills just so she can stuff herself with more food. She also shows signs of laziness and would have reduced herself to a shut-in if it was not for her fear of the Avido group, which she believes are targeting her.
Abilities:
Garami has countless abilities due to her above-average skill collection, mostly due to her massive skill gain from the Chain Quest in the Water-Knot, and also due to her Double Skill Point Cheat from being the Champion of Alvatria.
A feat almost impossible for normal people, not only due to the lack of Skill Points but also because they would have been crushed by the weight of their skills before reaching the same number of skills as Garami has.
Her most notable abilities are:
- Threads: Garami's first ability since she was reborn as a demon. Using the cheat that comes with being a Grey Demon, she picked up the normally spider-exclusive [Spider Thread] skill, and with the help of her heritage as a Royalty monster, evolved it into [Spider Lord's Thread], which is usually limited to D-rank spider monsters and above. These threads are strong enough to be used for materials for high-ranking clothing-items that are as durable as metal armor. Garami am extremely capable with her threads, to the point where one would believe she had the assistance of a class to help her with them.
- Stealth and Assassination: Sneak attacks have been Garami's best method of attack even before she got her first class. Her ability to stay hidden and attack from the shadows have only increased each time along when her main class increased in class levels.
- Darkness Attribute: As the one being chosen to be the Champion of Alvatria, Garami already had high compatibility with this attribute, which got even stronger after becoming the Champion for real. With various attribute-related abilities, such as Mana Burst, Gloom Bullet, and the Aura of Darkness, Garami has great potential to weaken the opponent to the point where all their skill- and stat-related defenses are practically invalidated. Not to forget about her Extra Skill which can even enfeeble racial levels...
- Magic: While never having studied how to use it, Garami knows almost instinctively how to construct magic formulas that create magic in the most efficient way. While her attack spells like Dark Bullet have seen the spotlight the most, Garami is also capable of using Healing Magic to rave reviews.
- Necromancy: While still immature, Garami is steadily growing up to become a great Necromancer. However, as a G-rank Lesser Skeleton costs 2011(Rank G) * 10 * 2(Size) = 20 Materials, an F-rank Skeleton needing 4022(Rank F) * 10 * 2(Size) = 40 Materials, a class-owning Skeleton of rank E will cost 10035(Rank E) * 10 * 2(Size) = 40 Materials, then multiplied with the class' tier42 for Beginner-tiers, 5 for Intermediate-tiers, 10 for Advance-tiers, and 25 for Master-tiers, and the fact that Garami's undeads cannot operate in daylight due to their weakness to the sun, that day is still far away...
158cm ? she is small for a ogre
now that I remember, you said that the team of Garami is going to have the 7 sins.
I don't know if you have already thought about the one that personifies lust but in case you want a not completely lewd one and to have someone (somewhat) loyal to Garami, after all, lust is basically desiring something, so someone who enjoys any benefits of Garami, who probably will not say no to trying more things and looks for entertainment, would fill a constant place in the team (if need be).
truth be told, is just that Garami feeling lonely is sad, plus it would be funny if this character gets used as a scapegoat for social situations (some times ending lewdly). now as a role like DPS, tank, etc., probably tank or support of some kind.
if you already thought of some like this, then nevermind.
You are doing a great job at this regardless.
I'm actually curious if she'll ever up her combat ability in straight brawls via Swords or some such. If she ends up in a situation like in the Prototype story against the Draugrs, I'd think learning a fighting style for straight combat might be handy. There's Specializing, then there's Crippling Overspecialization.
Alternatively to a sword or katana, maybe use Threads to take up a Whip Sword e.g. Sword of the Creator from Three Houses? That's an idea since it can be used from range, and is a pretty unusual weapon for an Assassin.
Necromancy seems good for scouting and group combat at best I'd think since individual undead tend to be pretty weak.
And given she'll eventually work on Heretical magics to turn into a Kur-Kigal, which seems like Save-or-Die, Old-School D&D shit. Persona's Light and Dark insta-kills, slavery magic... I could see some uses for it, though while she is Chaos aligned, I don't think she's technically Evil enough to use Heretical element as a main source of power.
She does make a flail with her threads and the dagger in the latest chapter,
but I see what you're getting at. Or rather, I've already thought of that. Some of Garami's skills got an alternative evolution available due to her becoming an Assassin. And boy, they are combat specialized.
@Greydra
Mhm. Though that's pretty improvised. I think someone with Thread Control, Sword, and Dagger arts can do pretty well with a whip sword since it's pretty much a ton of tiny daggers on a thread that form into a sword.
I hope so! She's turning out to be a bit more min-maxed than in the Prototype, which is pretty cool. I'm just glad apparently her drunken 'play biting'
seemed to have helped her get more comfortable around people.
@Avidya It's more that she understands on an instinctive level that Alf and Noire are powerless against her.
@Greydra It's baby steps. Hopefully it doesn't cost people a literal hand for her to be comfortable around them though.
