Death, a frightening word, but is it really such a dreadful experience?

We, as individuals, hear a lot of things about death; our reality is itself divided on this meaningless topic called, after death or afterlife; meaningless, because no matter who is looking at it, what does it matter whether there is something valuable waiting after their life ends, or not.

Because, unfortunately, everyone, including those who believe in this ‘Afterdeath or afterlife’ and those who don’t, will one day, without exception, get to know the truth- whether they like it or not.

But this is not what I think of death. For me, it’s just something which is going to happen, just like life is already happening around me.

Now, some might say or argue that life and death are two completely different things; that one is a slow burn, while other is a sudden impact; but the thing is, when I truly compare them both from the perspective of a third person, all I see is a rope burning from both of the ends. The light at one end represents life; whilst on the other end, it represents death.

And for me, this comparison holds, because it’s simple. This ‘equation’ of mine only has one variable; hence its simplicity; because no question can be simpler than one in which the result depends on a single variable.

In my comparison, the only difference between life and death is the intensity of the fire burning the rope’s ends. The higher the intensity of the fire, the brighter its glow, and the faster the rope burns.

Actually, I lied. My formula has another variable which robs it of its simplicity- the ropes length; because, as it has already been said before, I’ll only repeat the same words here, ‘every individual is unique’.

I have some other things I want to add, but for now, I’ll be ending my first meaningless pursuit of the meaning behind life and death at this point because I’ll be straying off the lane I was walking on this discussion otherwise.

This is it for today then. Until next time, accept my mechanical parting bow.
