Luò Wǎn nearly went mad upon hearing this. "Heaven! What have I done wrong? Why am I the one who can break the constraints of the Green Door? What mistake did I make? Why was I chosen?"

The young master gave her a reason she couldn't accept: "Your voice is exactly the same as Shū er's."

"Voice?!" Luò Wǎn looked at the young master in disbelief. "Is it just because my voice is identical to hers that I have to suffer this fate?"

"Green Door is blind," the young master explained. "It suppresses souls based on their voices. If you can escape from Green Door, its power will be broken. It will mistakenly believe that Shū er has escaped, and then it will fail."

Luò Wǎn shook her head. "I’m not willing to get involved in that. Doing something good for others might cost me my life! What if I'm unable to escape?"

"You think you can refuse now? Green Door is already slowly closing in on you, ready to trap you here forever, with no way to return to the real world! Your soul will be eternally bound, unable to move on. It's no longer just about saving Shū er; what's more important now is that you save yourself."

Luò Wǎn's expression changed drastically. The thought of living forever in a delusion, especially someone else's—one created by a dead person—felt unbearable.

The young master made a firm decision and suddenly said, "You don't have much time left. If you can't break the constraints of Green Door and defeat her, your body will perish, and your soul will be forever imprisoned."

Luò Wǎn quickened her pace and said, "If that's the case, why are we still talking? Let's go break it now!" Suddenly, she thought of something and turned to the young master, asking, "Why does Green Door imprison Shū er's soul?"

The young master remained silent for a long time before finally saying, "Because She violated the celestial decree. Our love was not accepted by heaven and earth. I eventually understood the truth and was able to escape eternal damnation, but Shū er, until her death, could not forget her deep love for me, so she was imprisoned by Green Door.”

Luò Wǎn hesitated over whether to tell him that he and Shū er were not actually siblings. She felt that revealing this truth would be too cruel for the young master. If he learned that he had killed the one he loved most over a misunderstanding—and lost his very life in the process—wouldn't that be just too much to bear?

But why was it that only she could see the outcome of Li Wáng, while the young master could not? Could this be the best explanation for being blinded by one's own perspective? Suddenly, Luò Wǎn turned around and asked, "So, does that mean Green Door is a force of justice?"

"In some respects, that's not an incorrect statement," the young master replied.

Lǐ Dàlù jumped out of bed and looked at the Green Door in front of him. No matter how he looked at it, Green Door didn´t seem as ruthless as the one that had been hunting Luò Wǎn.

“I thought Green Door was just a door,” Lǐ Dàlù said, staring at the woman before him with a look of confusion in his eyes.

Green Door´s voice was calm and indifferent as she replied, “Green Door is just a codename. It can represent anything. Why must it always be a door?”

"Why are you hunting Luò Wǎn?" Lǐ Dàlù asked angrily, his frustration evident.

"Her voice is identical to that of a female ghost in my domain who violated the celestial laws. As long as she escapes from my grasp, my seal will lose all meaning. When that happens, chaos will descend upon heaven and earth, all the restrained evil spirits will surge forth, and the human world will turn into a living hell."

"But Shu´er is innocent. You claim to uphold the justice of heaven and earth, to subdue the evil spirits of the eight directions, but in your indiscriminate killing, everything has lost its meaning."

Green Door paused for a moment before saying, "Someone has to sacrifice themselves for the sealing of the Ghost-Suppressing Talisman. I am one of those. For all these years, I've guarded it, exhausting my essence, and I can´t hold out much longer. If you knew what would happen if the sealing of the Ghost-Suppressing Talisman were to be broken, you wouldn't accuse me of indiscriminate killing."

"Shu´er is not the same person as the female ghost you have in your domain. Can´t you see that? You insist on judging by her voice alone." Lǐ Dàlù suddenly felt it was ridiculous—over such a simple reason, he had pushed himself to this point.

"Tiānmù, didn't you realize that I am also a Tiānmù person, a person with the third eye? The Ghost-Suppressing Talisman was also created by Tiānmù. It is a container that can catch souls by just listening to sounds."

Lǐ Dàlù fell completely silent. He understood that Tiānmù were essentially blind, so the things created by Tiānmù, even if they had spirit, were also blind to the truth.

Only a blind person would helplessly rely on sound to identify others, leading to wrongful killings. The most terrifying part is knowing that they are making a mistake but feeling powerless to change it.

Green Door's face showed no trace of sadness, but Lǐ Dàlù felt a pang of sorrow. She stood still for a moment, then suddenly said, "Someone is coming."

The door of the small cabin was pushed open, and Lǐ Dàlù jumped up in surprise.

Because he saw someone he never expected—it was Shàngguān Liúyún.

He seemed to have fallen hard, and as he pushed the door open, he called out, "Lǐ Dàlù, where are you? I heard your voice!"

When the two met, although it had only been a matter of minutes, it felt as though they had been separated for a lifetime.

Shàngguan Liúyún said, "I knew you wouldn't die. Someone like you isn't that easy to kill."

"You´re not much different," Lǐ Dàlù replied.

A wave of warmth surged in both Lǐ Dàlù's and Shàngguān Liúyún´s hearts. With two friends standing shoulder to shoulder in battle, their chances of winning had increased significantly.

Green Door could sense the change in their emotions from the energy around them. After a moment, she said, "It´s useless. With just the two of you, there's no way you can defeat me."

"Who says there are only those two? There´s also us."

"Who says it's just the two of them? There´s us," Luò Wǎn said as she strode into the small room, followed closely by the Young Master. Lǐ Dàlù and Shàngguān Liúyún rushed over with joy, and the three of them stood together.

Green Door merely shook her head gently. "I'm not deceiving you, Tiānmù. You'd better take your friend and leave, leaving that woman to me. I don´t want to harm my fellow beings. Your strength is far inferior to mine; you can´t even defeat me, let alone break the sealing of the Ghost-Suppressing Talisman."

"No matter whether we can win or lose, I will never abandon my friends," Lǐ Dàlù declared, stepping forward.

Luò Wǎn suddenly stepped out, determined to speak the truth.

"Green Door, Sister Green Door, you´ve actually made a mistake. She didn´t violate the celestial laws; she hasn´t fallen in love with her brother. The Young Master has no connection to her; his real sister was killed long ago. You´ve only listened to Li Wang´s one-sided story and have been used."
