I wonder if the story of "Green Door" has brought you a touch of emotion, a hint of sadness, or a twinge of fear as you open its pages. When I was writing this story, I truly felt those same pangs of sadness, moments of deep emotion, and experiences of fear.

Let´s start by discussing how frightening scenes are created in horror novels. I am a very timid person—so timid that if I turn off the lights at night, I can't bear to sleep alone.

In fact, I've never actually seen the terrifying scenes in horror films. Whenever a frightening moment is about to unfold, I close my eyes. A person like me should be cautious when writing horror novels, but my terrifying segments are crafted with all the imagination I can muster.

In "Green Door," the most terrifying scenes occur in the elevator. This is because I take the elevator every day, often riding it alone in my apartment building. Each time the elevator descends, I feel a deep sense of fear and my mind fills with various imaginings. I brought these imagined scenarios into my novel, hoping to share that feeling with readers. When we share such experiences, it helps alleviate feelings of loneliness and despair.

"Green Door" is a story about salvation. A lonely, remorseful ghost doesn´t possess the omnipotence often portrayed in TV shows or older novels. Instead, this ghost can only seek help from humans to rescue its beloved. Humans often believe that the unknown holds invincible power, but when the truth is revealed, we find that the only person truly capable of helping ourselves is ourselves.

Luò Wǎn, the female protagonist in the story, is a woman as pure and gentle as water. She is kind, passionate, generous, and brave, and all of this stems from her love for life. Her passion for living and her refusal to give up on her chances to survive are the main reasons she is able to persevere.

One of the most striking characters in "Green Door" is definitely Shen Ji. Readers often warn me online that if I don´t severely punish Shěn Jī, they will stop reading my novels. She is truly a character that makes you grit your teeth with hatred—her vanity, pretentiousness, ignorance, and selfishness serve as the main source of conflict in the story.

The ending of "Green Door" is a beautiful one, intended to bring warmth to readers who felt sadness and tears from "Red Satin."

My ideal conclusion is: 

Lǐ Dàlù ultimately erases Luò Wǎn's memories and stands alone to guard the Green Door, while Luò Wǎn ends up marrying Shàngguān Liúyún. On the day of the wedding, she catches a glimpse of a familiar figure flashing past behind a flowering crabapple tree, and as this happens, a gentle rain begins to fall, like tears from the sky, while she walks into the chapel.
