His cheap parents started to act as soon as they sat down.

“You must have had a hard time. Look how thin you are.”

“Don’t worry, dear. We found him, and we can take him back and feed him properly.”

“I don’t know if he can accept me as his mother after all these years.”

His father and mother were truly great actors.

“Why don’t you come live with us? Your father and I will take good care of you.”

Amphorn looked at them without showing any emotion on his face and thought, ‘This pair is a match made in heaven. Look at their flawless acting.

If I didn’t know their true nature, I’d probably be dead already. Seriously, this cheap mother of mine cried for a while, but not a single tear was shed. Even her makeup stayed the same.

Sigh ~ So tiring. How should I deal with them? As a transmigrator myself, I don’t even have any golden fingers. The black vortex isn’t a golden finger.

Not to mention help—I need to pray that I won’t see it anytime soon.

I’m very pitiful.’

Adam sneered but his expression was flawless.

“I understand that you want to make it up to me somehow, but after coming here, I decided to stay here forever. I don’t need any material possessions, and I want to live here and embrace the spiritual path.

If you want to make my life easier, I’d appreciate it if you donated money directly to the temple. They helped me when I was in need, so I need to repay them.”

Everyone in the room had a surprised look on their faces; they didn’t think he would refuse such an opportunity.

The Lu family couple's faces turned ugly; they didn’t expect him to refuse. Just as they were about to talk, Amphorn greeted them and left the room. The man in the back followed him outside.

Amphorn stopped and looked back. He didn’t know why this person made him remember Adam.

Suddenly, the man offered him a handshake and introduced himself. “I’m Chao.”

Amphorn looked at his hand and noticed the angel wing mark on the man’s wrist. He suddenly felt like his whole body froze. He never thought he would see the mark on someone else's hand.

‘No, this!? How is this possible? This is the same mark Adam had on his wrist, but he is not Adam.

Is it possible that he also transmigrated like me? No way! That is not possible. The black vortex isn’t something you can pick up on the road like a cabbage.

But I felt that familiar feeling earlier when I met this person, just like with Adam. If it happened once, it could be a coincidence, but it has happened many times, so this person has something to do with Adam.

In previous worlds, I also felt the same feeling before I died, so this means there are people like Adam who live in every world I travel to. This isn’t normal. Adam, who are you?’

Amphorn looked at the person's face carefully and realized that he didn’t know him.

He took a deep breath, stared at the man’s wrist one last time, and said, “There is one thing I want you to know, and that is, I don’t like you, so stay far away from me.”

Amphorn then left without looking back, leaving behind Chao, who looked at his retreating figure with a complex expression on his face.

Amphorn’s parents and his cheap older brother didn’t give up that easily. They kept the heart donor thing from his cheap sister, but Amphorn didn’t believe she was innocent.

After Amphorn rejected them, they often came to the temple to bother him, and all the people in the temple knew about it and advised him to go back with them.

Amphorn locked himself in his room and thought, they are so persistent, and the old monk isn’t here at the moment, so I can’t do anything about them. As someone who has died many times, I can feel my end is near.

I just want to live past the three-month deadline I made earlier. And that guy, who looks like Adam's double, is also annoying.

The most annoying thing of all is I feel like I’ve kind of touched on the truth about Adam's identity, but I need to go back to the Abyss Prison to verify it.

One thing is certain: when I go back to Abyss Prison, my question will have an answer. Abyss Prison once gave me an answer in the past; as long as the question is clear enough, I can get an answer.’

As Amphorn was thinking about Adam's identity, there was a knock on the door.

When he opened it, there stood his cheap sister.

“I want to talk to you about something important. Can we go somewhere private?”

Amphorn looked at her and said, “Sure.”

‘As a lady, she won’t come into my room. I wonder what she wants to talk about. Every time she comes back, she always brings Adam’s double with her.

That is so annoying. They did mention that he was her fiancé. Still, I don’t think so, at least not to me. Adam wouldn’t approach people without a reason.’

They soon approached a building and stood face to face. His cheap sister looked left and right nervously and said, “Why are you not coming home? My mother is worried about you. If you’re angry with me because I took your place, I can leave.”

Amphorn looked at her teary face and suddenly said, “I don’t know about that. I also want to come home, but what can I do? My gut feeling tells me I’ll face a disaster if I go back to my parents.”

Amphorn stared at her, and after hearing what he said, her face turned pale as if he had discovered a big secret that shouldn’t be known to anyone.

‘Would you look at that? She isn’t a white lotus but a black lotus. She persistently called me back home without any problem because she knew what her parents were going to do to me.

She is still young, but her personality is already rotten to the core. If she’s like this, then the cheap brother of mine might also have a similarly rotten personality.

More importantly, she could have said this in front of others if she wanted to talk about taking me back, but she brought me here where nobody was around. That means she has something else to say to me.’

Amphorn looked at the dodging eyes of his cheap sister and said, “You didn’t bring me here to talk about that, so what is it that you want to talk about?”
