The man then stopped laughing and said, “My last name is Wei; people usually call me Master Wei. How about you follow me? I can feed you.”

Amphorn turned his head and said, “In this world, people won’t help others without expecting anything in return. And I have nothing to give you, so you can leave me here and go.”

Wei smiled and patted Amphorn’s head and said, “You are right; you have nothing right now.”

Amphorn already knew that, so he just waited for him to finish. It was easier to guess what he was going to say next. All about working hard and achieving success.

But Wei suddenly said arrogantly, “But I have lots of things. Money, power, knowledge, and also delicious food. There isn’t anything you can give me, so don’t bother.”

Amphorn then asked, “Then why do you want to help me, a stranger? People with high status like you won’t see weak people as equals.”

Wei smiled and said, “You seem young, but your eyes carry wisdom that doesn’t belong to a child. Well, if we talk about a reason to take you in, let’s just say I was looking for a disciple to inherit my knowledge.”

Then they both started a strange conversation.

“I don’t know.”

“I don’t want to meet people, and I don’t want to get to know them; people are troublesome.”

“Troubles and worries are part of life.”

“My peaceful life doesn't have something called trouble.”

“Life won’t become peaceful if you don’t solve all the problems.”

“I know, that's why I’m searching for a solution.”

“I can help you search for it if you become my disciple.

“I can't become your disciple.”

“Why can’t you?”

“I don’t trust you.”

“You do realize I can forcefully bring you back to my sect, right?”
