Wei didn't want to give up. Just as he was about to speak, Amphorn shook his head and said, “Master, I won’t change my mind. I thought about it for a whole night and came to this conclusion, so please, I hope you can respect my decision.”

Wei stared at Amphorn’s determined eyes and left his room; he knew he couldn’t change his mind.

Haoyu took Wei to his residence and gave his friend a wine he had recently bought. He wouldn’t get mad this time.

Wei didn’t understand why his disciple didn’t want to cultivate anymore; he was fine yesterday. “I’m probably the unluckiest master ever to exist. My disciple ran away after his first lesson.”

Haoyu glanced at his friend, who was drowning in sorrow, and said, “What did you do to him? He said he decided not to cultivate after listening to you.”

Gulp gulp

Wei drank the full bottle and said, “I wish I knew that as well. We didn’t even teach the basics, but he already gave up.”

Haoyu thought about it and said, “Let's give him some time. I’m sure everything will work out.”

Little did they know, that Amphorn was someone who never changed his mind after deciding on something.

Just as expected, Wei didn’t give up, but all his attempts were fruitless. Amphorn was stubborn as ever, but he did compromise to go outside once in a while.

“This is so annoying, even though I expected as much. Maybe I should try going out once in a while. Reading books is fun, but there is no entertainment here, so it's boring.”

Amphorn then went outside to look around and finally found some entertainment: watching disciples train in the morning and evening.

Therefore, he went there with Bai and watched them train. Because of this and Wei's behaviour, everyone in the Dragon Sect knew about him.

Amphorn sat in the chair that Bai had prepared for him and watched the disciple’s train. “This is nice. After seeing everything once, I remember all their moves by heart.

I have a feeling I can do those moves even without training. I guess I became a genius. Too bad I can’t cultivate, but this is enough for me.”

Just as Amphorn watched the disciples, the disciples also watched him. After all, one in the Dragon Sect was talking about this particular master-disciple pair.

But not in a good way, of course; everyone here didn’t like Amphorn because of his lazy nature and being a disciple of a strong person while wasting such an opportunity.

“Senior Brother Hong, that slouth came to watch us train today as well. Who does he think he is?”

“Because Master Wei looks after him, he can behave like this.”

“I don’t understand what Master Wei thinks, taking such a sloth as a disciple.”

“Senior Brother Hong, should we teach him a lesson?”

In the middle of the crowd stood a teenager with a handsome look and a serious face.

He was called Senior Brother Hong by his fellow disciples because of his strong sword talent. He was also one of the children who became Master Wei’s disciples.

Hong looked around and nodded. Even if they didn’t say anything, he would have gone and asked. He then walked straight towards Amphorn, with others following behind.

Amphorn closed his eyes and rested. He suddenly heard voices near him, so he opened his eyes and took a look. ‘This is surprising.

People here normally ignore me most of the time or give me a hard look as if I did something unforgivable, but this is the first time someone has taken the initiative. I wonder what they are up to.’

They just stared at each other without saying anything. After some time, Amphorn heard someone speak. He looked like the leader of the group.

“I heard Master Wei took you as his disciple.”

Amphorn simply nodded in reply; everyone knew that.

“I also heard that you refuse to cultivate. Is that true?” Amphorn simply nodded.

Hong stared into his eyes and asked, “Why did you refuse?”

Amphorn also looked into his eyes and said, “I have my reasons, and I have no obligation to tell you.”

The disciples around them couldn’t help but get angry as they kept talking. They looked at Amphorn as if he had lost his mind.

“How can you speak to our Senior Brother Hong like that? He is very talented, unlike you.”

“You should leave here. There is no place in the Dragon Sect for a lazy sloth like you.”

“Senior Brother Hong should be the one talented enough to be a disciple of Master Wei.”

Amphorn looked around and already felt tired. He could understand their point of view, but he was in a dire situation as well. ‘So annoying. It's not like I asked him to take me here. I’m ready to leave at any moment, but he won’t let me leave.’

“Be quiet!” Amphorn said with an indifferent tone, and everyone around shuddered.

Hong looked at his arm and noticed they were shaking. He couldn't believe he became scared of a child who hadn’t even started to cultivate, but he couldn’t bring himself to speak after taking his eyes off Amphorn.

Amphorn got up and decided to leave, but before that, he said, “If you have a problem, go talk to the one responsible for it. Just so you know, I don’t want to stay here either. But if you come again and start being noisy, then I have no choice but to make you stop talking for the rest of your life.”

Amphorn then left without looking back, leaving behind shaking teenagers. He had been studying and reading different books, but he couldn't find a solution to his problem. It was nearly six months since he came to this world, but he had made no progress.

Sigh~

Amphorn sat on his bed, took a book he had left this morning, and continued his reading. Soon, night came, and just as he was about to fall asleep, his master came back.
