It's been a week since I arrived at the academy and today is the placement test, it's less of a test more of ancient crystals reading your magic scales. As I finished getting ready which took me a while since nobody is allowed to bring their servants, going down the stairs I met up with Katherine a girl whom I recently made friends with.
"Where do you think you're going to place in"
"I don't know, for the last fifteen years of my life I never had an element"
"I'm sure you would be part of the A-class, so we would be together all the time"
"Your water element is pretty powerful"
"Only because I trained and took many elixirs since I was young" Katherine stated "you still haven't shown me yours, teleportation is so cool"
"Because I don't know how to use it"
We got to the hall about hundreds of people were in the hall and out of all these people they pick only seventy a year to be a fully established student. I was number 73, so I waited a while before they called my name. I climbed the stairs to the stage where everyone was observing me
"You are now allowed to put your hand on the crystal," the attendant said
My hand touching the ice-cold crystals with bare hands it is as if everyone's touch feels different. The crystal shortly became darker in the shade until it became almost black.
"A mage!!" the attendant shouted, I became shocked a mage is a summit of the student hierarchy, which goes like goblins, mists, wizards then mages according to the rarity of their powers. All the students started applauding as teachers led me out of the hall. Shortly after the confusion, I found out that the teachers were taking me to the mages dorm and all my luggage had already been moved, the teachers asked me some formal questions until we reached the dorm door, and they went back. The dark interior of the living room greeted me with nice dark brown couches and tables, the room was dimly lit, making it more sophisticated looking
"Hello! Is anyone here" I asked sitting on the couch
"So you are the new girl, I'm Alicia," a girl with beautiful black skin and hazel eyes matching her dark brown eyes said walking towards the stairs
"So I guess I'm famous"
"Because you are last that will ever become a mage"
"What do you mean"
"I mean that we are the forefathers of magic and whenever we die we are born again after hundreds of years and since it's a secret they just call us mages meaning that we are really powerful"
"So there isn't any other mages in other schools"
"No, like Jack he's in his final year, but he didn't apply here anybody that is a mage they immediately send them to this academy"
"Wow this a lot to take in, where is my room"
"Upstairs take a right turn the very last room there is yours," she said pointing to the room.
Laying on my bed I thought of all the things Alicia told me, it's pretty heavy, so was that woman me, or was she not? I wondered about this issue forgetting Prince Albert's brother is part of the mages.
