[Draconian City – Third Zone of Hell Difficulty]

A round table surrounded by four people deep within the underground palace. The four draconian were fiercely arguing with one another, debating a topic as though their lives depended on it.

It had been two days since Tobias arrived in the Draconian place. The draconian maids had provided him with standard room upon Stanley's request, however… immediately upon seeing him they all noticed his peculiarity.

Tobias' basilisk bloodline.

This was exactly the topic they had called a meeting about and why they were arguing.

More precisely, they worried about their accidental transgression against him.

By assigning a lower-class room to someone with such a top-tier bloodline, it was not merely a personal insult. It was considered an insult to the entire ethnic group behind him. It was only after Stanley introduced him to the room that they saw him, and swiftly realized their mistake.

Although they didn't know his exact bloodline because of his humanoid appearance, any monster would be able to feel the power and purity of his bloodline.

They never would've dared to provided him such a low-class room had they met him beforehand!

“A top-grade bloodline! You do know what that means?” A red-scaled draconian with glasses shouted at the others.

“Quiet! None of us are stupid.” The shorter, dark-red draconian responded with a cold voice, “The only question is what we should do about it. We cannot afford to offend him, yet we’ve done exactly that. ”

A green-scaled draconian suggested, “The princess is of marrying age.”

A dark-blue scaled draconian, who was the father of the princess and King immediately refused that idea. “Absolutely not. Do you think we can handle the political backlash? His ethnic group would kill us.”

After hearing the King's refusal, the group chose to temporarily stop that line of thought.

“So what should we do about him? We cannot keep him here.” The taller red draconian stated with anger.

Slamming his fist onto the table, the shorter red-draconian expressed his agreement. “We need to get rid of him as soon as possible. He’s a ticking-time bomb. When his anger is released, we cannot handle the consequences.”

The green-scaled draconian pointed at him furiously, “And how do you want to do that? Driving him out? Are you a moron?! That would only make it worse.”

“So what should we do? Huh?! Unless you have a better idea, shut up.” Retorted the shorter draconian.

“We could contact them…” The King suggested.

One of them replied with an unsteady tone. “The ancestors? That’s… risky.”

Clearly, they weren't a fan of the idea. In fact, everyone around the table was hesitant.

Their ancestors, in this situation, they were referred their dragon ancestors who weren't exactly known for being kind. Especially to mix-bloods. While they might help them overcome this crisis, they would certainly have to pay a price for it regardless of success.

The shorter draconian finally expressed his agreement of that plan. “Better than waiting around. A top-tier bloodline, if he lives…”

“Quiet.” The King demanded, “His survival none of our concern. What we need to worry about is how to defuse the current situation. With lower-class quarters. We've certainly offended him.”

“A unpredictable miscalculation. Stanley appears to have many powerful friends.” The green-scaled dragon noted, “According to the maid, upon seeing the room. He said the room exceeded his expectations…”

The green-scaled dragon repeated tried to comfort himself and inform everyone as to the situation. “Maybe he's simply open-minded, he might not be offended.”

The dark-red draconian doubtfully stated, “With his status? Satisfied with one of those crappy rooms in the lower quarters?”

“In other words, it was certainly a thinly veiled threat…” The shorter red draconian sighed in annoyance.

“Our only choice is to contact the ancestors for advice. In the meantime, we’ll send over gifts of reparation and slightly hint that the princess is at marrying age. If he initiates the proceedings the his ethnic group cannot say anything.” The green-scaled draconian stated with authority.

“The princess would never accept marriage, and with her temper? It’s better to never let them meet. What if she offends him?” The King protested on behalf of his daughter.

Who would want to marry their daughter to a random stranger? While his daughter was a trouble marker, the King definitely didn’t want to utilize her for such a political purpose. Especially when the likelihood of anything good coming from it was almost zero. The man’s ethnic group would never allow a foreign race to be with such a high-tier individual permanently.

“We don’t have a choice. Find a way to keep her polite. Do you think we actually want your daughter to marry such a person?” Grumbled the dark-red draconian with a tone of regret.

Grinding his teeth, the King reluctantly agreed. “Fine.”

The green-scaled draconian asked, “All in favor of the previously proposed plan of action?”

“Aye.” Everyone made sounds of affirmation and agreement.

The King glanced up at the ceiling with regret, “I hope this isn’t a mistake.”

[Dragon Territory – Council of Dragons; A short while later…]

Inside a massive cave with red drops of lava dripping from the ceiling. The lava formed small pools on the group and lit up the surrounding cave. Illuminated in the lava light were several dragons of varying sizes.

Slowly a young, green-scale dragon entered into the cave. The young dragon was no larger than ten feet and his green scales had a sleek and smoothness to them.

Most of the dragons in the cave were lazing about completely unconcerned with the entrance of the young dragon.

“There’s a communication from the draconian colony in the Kerisa system. A situation has occurred.” The small, young green-scale dragon reported.

An extremely large, grey dragon with a dull scales that were torn in several places and a permanently nasty frown snarled out. “Those pathetic half-breeds dare to demand help?!”

“Quiet down, Gromrit.” A red-scaled dragon thirty feet long, with a more youthful appearance about him quietly asked . “Explain the situation.”

“A monster with top-tier bloodline has been discovered.” The small green dragon respectfully reported.

The surrounding atmosphere suddenly dropped several degrees. Dragons throughout the cave who had previous ignored the young dragon appearance suddenly glanced in his direction.

A dark-azure scaled dragon got up from the crowd of lazy dragons and inquired from the young one, her voice clearly female, “What species?”

“Unknown. The monster has taken a humanoid form.” The young green dragon cautiously reported.

None of the dragons in the surroundings were happy to hear that information. Each expressing their dissatisfaction in their own way.

Gromrit, the dull-grey dragon broke the silence and snorted aloud. “Useless half-breeds.”

While none of the surrounding dragons directly spoke, all implicitly agreed with the sentiment. The appearance of a top-level bloodline would shake the entire foundation of the political landscape. An ethnic group without a top-level bloodline individual and one containing an individual with a top-level bloodline were two completely different concepts.

The most critical information in this matter, in addition to the existence of a top-level bloodline, was the species of the monster. It would change how they reacted to the ethnic group of the species in the future and determined whether they could afford to hunt down and kill the monster in the cradle.

“Demand they find out the species.” The youthful red-scaled dragon told the green dragon.

“No, half-breeds cannot be trusted with this task.” The female dark-azure dragon interrupted the order. “Gromrit has free time. He will head to the Kerisa system, personally confirming the existence of this top-bloodline monster and their species of origin.”

“What?! No! Absolutely not!” Gromrit crawled upward and breathed fire toward the azure dragon, furious at her recommendation for him to complete this task. “Are you trying to offend me, Freda?”

Only lower, unwanted dragons would be sent out on tasks to be forced out of the colony. Assigning this task to him was an unimaginable insult. Essentially, by sending him out, she was marking him as useless to the colony.

Even if he successfully completed the task, Gromrit would be looked down upon after returning. If he failed, a greater shame would await him.

How could he accept such an outcome? He had spent an eternity to reach his current social status. Lazing around in the council room was a privileged job in the colony and could only be done with enough reputation and social status.

Regardless of failure or success, his spot on the council would be gone upon his return.

Several of dragons in the council room glanced toward him with goading eyes. With his arrogant and dismissive personality, he had offended a number of dragons in the past and had few allies.

The rest of the dragons tactfully ignored his outburst. None of them spoke up in agreement or disagreement. If they spoke in agreement of the plan, they would be forming a permanent grudge with Gromrit. Something unnecessary and not worth the consequences.

Meanwhile, should his few allies choose to speak for Gromrit in disagreement of the task, they would offend the female azure-scaled dragon. Freda was a young, beautiful female dragon without a mate. Any number of powerful suitors would gladly beat them to death for simply offending her in hopes of attracting her attention.

In fact, if had anybody known Gromrit had offended her beforehand. Countless suitors would’ve already lined up to challenge him.

Nobody was stupid enough to jump into the line of fire for him.

“This task is too important to assign to the youngsters. It’s best for someone with the councils authority to manage negotiations.” Freda, the female dark-azure dragon explained. “So… unless you have a better recommendation.”

Recommending another council member was akin to completely offending them. Each had their own background and allies that he couldn’t risk offending at the same time as her. Combined a single vote for himself already being cast from Freda’s initial recommendation, there was no chance of throwing the pot to another council member besides her.

Gromrit growled out, “You do it.”

Hate and fury shone through Gromrit’s eyes.

“Don’t even try it.”

“Not happening.”

Growled out nearby dragons in protest jumping to Freda’s aid before she could even respond personally. Heading out of the colony contained risks, although the risks weren’t particularly large and close to almost zero. Risks certainly existed.

While, it was very difficult to cause problems for dragons of their level. That had never changed the tradition of keeping valuable and powerful dragons close to the main territory.

Freda had a far deep background, combined with her own personal charm, she had far more political influence than Gromrit.

She simply wasn’t someone that could be sent on a task.

Releasing a puff of flames, Gromrit glared at her a silently swore to get vengeance. “Fine, I’ll deal with the top-tier bloodline myself.”

Storming out of the cave, the dragons returned to their lazy sleeping positions. As far as they were concerned, the problem had been resolved. Gromrit would deal with the individual if they were from an enemy species, and if the individual wasn't from an enemy species he'd have accomplished the goal of discovering the individual's species.

Regardless of whether the individual lived or not, the problem of their existence was effectively solved.
