The weeks go by quickly and I do not see Lillie anywhere except at the library where we hang out every time I come to clean, after a month I began thinking maybe I should go up to her at school. When I do see her she is never talking to anyone, at lunch she eats in the library by herself and walks home by herself as the bell rings. I decided to bring Harry and Olivia to the library in an attempt to add her to our friend group.

"Hey Lillie, how are you?" I asked

"Um... I'm fine I guess," Lillie replied

"These are some of my good friends," I said

"Hey Lillie, I'm Olivia"

"I'm Harry"

"We were wondering if you would like to join us in the lunchroom today?" I asked

I could see on her face she did not want to join us, her eyes were filled with uncertainty and her hands were shaking, but despite all that,

"S-sure, I don't mind," Lillie replied

At the cafeteria everything seemed fine for a while, everyone was sharing jokes at the table and everything was going as planned.

"So do you have any friends in your class Lillie?" Olivia asked

"Or maybe a boyfriend?" Harry followed up with

I noticed Lillie's head fall back down when this was asked to her, her hands were shaking on her lap and sweat was racing down her face, she did not say a word until she eventually got up and started walking away. I did not want her to walk away from the opportunity to make some friends so I got up as well, I tried catching up to her before saying in a low voice towards her,

"Lillie, where are you going?"

Lillie did not give any of her attention and continued walking, I grabbed her by her hand gently to get her attention.

"LET GO OF ME, DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" Lillie shouted

This grabbed the attention of everyone in the cafeteria, it was the loudest I have ever heard Lillie, the ringing in my ears and the shock of what just happened caused me to let go of her as she ran out of the cafeteria.

Lillie ran through the hallway breathing heavily as the voice of a familiar person whispered in her ear,

"Nice going in there you over dramatic bitch"

When she lifted her head it was a group of girls from her class that often picked on her, she did not reply and just walked away with her head down.

Time passed, a lot of time and Lillie was never there anymore when I came to clean.

2 months later

It is now the beginning of December and the semester is coming to an end, but what people are most excited about is the Christmas dance that is this Saturday, I could not walk down any of the hallways without seeing posters about the Christmas dance or about Chloe's performance that everyone is excited about. I have not spoken to Lillie ever since the outburst in the cafeteria but I did not forget about her, I still want to be good friends with her.

"Robby are you listening to me?" Olivia asked me

"What? sorry I wasn't listening," I replied

"I said I still don't have a date to the dance and it's almost Saturday," Olivia said

"You can always go with me haha," Harry said sarcastically

"You wish, you've probably been asked out by tons of girls," Olivia replied

"Yeah, and I turned them all down so I could go with you haha," Harry said sarcastically

"I'd rather go with Robby than you, right Robby?" Olivia asked

I was not listening to what she was saying, the only thing I was thinking about was that I had to talk to Lillie and the Christmas dance gave me an idea.

"Sorry, I gotta go somewhere," I said before running out of the classroom

"Where are you going?" Olivia asked

Olivia was chasing behind me as I ran towards 2A, which was Lillie's classroom, when I made it I walked straight to Lillie's desk.

"R-Robby? what are you doing here? bell is about to ring," Lillie said

"I don't care" I replied

"Please leave Robby"

"I will leave, but only after you agree to be my date to the dance"

Lillie's eyes opened wide and I could see her beautiful green eyes once again.

"W-what are you saying? stop joking," Lillie said

"Lillie, I'm not joking... please be my date"

Everyone in the classroom had their eyes on us and the whispers of everyone was very audible.

"What is he doing?"

"Is he serious?"

"This guy can't be real"

While hearing all of this only one persons words were important to me and those were the words that came from Lillie's mouth, when I finally heard them I could not believe it.

"...Y-yes, I will go with you," Lillie replied

Olivia was at the front door of the classroom watching everything, she clenched her fist and took a deep breath to prevent her tears from coming out as she walked away, Harry saw her in the hallway with her head down.

"What happened?" Harry asked Olivia

Olivia lifted her head and had a clearly forced smile on her face and her eyes were slightly swollen.

"I change my mind, I'll go with you Harry"

Without questioning her Harry replied,

"Sure, no problem"

Back In Lillie's classroom everyone is surprised and looking at me and Lillie.

"This is really awkward, can you leave now please?" Lillie whispered to me

"Yeah sure, until Saturday then"

I left the classroom with a smile on my face I could not control, but the reason this smile was on my face was partially because Lillie said yes but also because I'd get to see Chloe again, I finally had a reason to go to the dance.
