While Walker was in the middle of thinking about how to solve the dilemma that he was in a static voice was heard in his head.

When Walker heard that voice, he was surprised because he forgot that after his rehab is done and getting cleared by the doctor, he will advance to level 1 automatically.

After all the tension that he was facing after getting discharged about what his decision will be continuing basketball or quitting.

Walker decided to forget about the dilemma he was facing and see what happened with the system after he advances a level.

« hey system I want to see my stats, » said Walker

[Sorry host you have to wait until the system is updated] said the system

Walker froze when he heard the word update because he remembered the pain from the first time he connected with the system.

« why do you need an update ? »asked Walker

«two hours why this update take so much time,» exclaimed Walker

Walker thought it was logical that the update will take time, so he decided to go home to have lunch.

Walker finished his lunch and heard the voice of the system.

The system didn't respond to him. Then a hologram screen appeared with all of Walker stats.

« hey, system why all of the stats has the F grade it's not like I never held a basketball in my life, » said Walker with an angry tone

Walker sighed in relief when he heard the reason why his stats have the F grade.

« could you make them on the high school level, » said Walker

After that, the hologram screen appeared.

When Walker read the grades, he was surprised because those grades still not good enough.

Walker was assuming that his grades will be between A+ and B+ since he was called a prodigy during his middle school days and his freshman year in high school.

« system, why the grades didn't improve by much even though I was a prodigy, shouldn't be at least between A+ and B+, » asked Walker

[where did you get this assumption, yes they were calling you a prodigy, but you were a raw talent, and that's all due to your athleticism, and since your coaches didn't try to improve your fundamentals and after your injury all the flaws that the coaches should have helped you fixed float to the surface] answer the system

« Maybe I'm a raw talent but why my IQ still an F,» ask walker

[are you kidding me do you know how much of assist you have per game in your middle school and high school combined is 1 APG how will you develop your IQ if all you do is ISO] said the system with disdain in his voice

When Walker heard the system explanation, he remembered that all the coaches use his athleticism to surpass all the teams they were facing and didn't bother teaching him anything else.

Also, Walker starts basketball with the purpose of helping his mother so, he did his best to secure himself a scholarship and help his mother and forgot that basketball was a team sport.

when Walker saw that it was also his fault because he believed that he would be a top player and earn money to help his mother without anyone help.

He felt ashamed of himself so, he decided to improve his way of communicating with his teammates, and improve his game if he continues playing basketball so, Walker continues to ask about his other grades.

« then why my inside scoring and outside scoring is D+, » asked Walker

[because you were using your explosiveness to get to the basket that's why your outside scoring grade is down and because of your injury your explosiveness is down so, your inside scoring grade will be down too] responded the system

« System, why my ball handling is the only one that was B+,» Asked Walker

[your ball handling was a D+ before but due to the training that I told to do your Ball handling is now a B+] the system responds

Walker remembered what the system was talking about it was after he got rid of the crutches.

The system told him to dribble the basket 1000 time a day, without looking at the ball will fall if the ball hit his leg or escaped from his hand, he would need to redo the training.

now that he saw the result of all that training he felt happy because all of his hard work didn't go in vain.

Walker didn't ask the system about the other grades because they were reasonable in his eyes.

Then walker decided to check on the badges if there is any change after he advanced to the first level.

« System show me the badges categories, » said Walker

The system shows a hologram screen.

When Walker saw the screen, there were four offensive badges unlocked.

[those badges just got unlocked so, you wouldn't be able to use any of them until you complete the tasks related to them ] The system replied

Walker was confused so he asked « could you explain more? »

[To unlock the badges you have to reach at least the requirement to unlock each badge.

For the ankle-breaker badge, it was because of the rating of your ball handling.

And for the dimer badge, it was scoring 10 Contested shots, and you achieve this requirement during your first year at high school.

As for the dimer badge, you should at least have 10 Assists to unlock it, and you achieve that between your middle school and high school.

And for the free throw ace, the requirement was to score 10 Free throws, and you achieved in middle school] explained the system

[and the badges are dived in 4 levels bronze, silver, gold, and HoF each of these levels has 3 Sub levels.

Since your level is still only Level 1 so, the max level you could get is bronze Level 1 so, to improve the badges you need to raise your level] the system continued

Walker was listening to the explanation that the system gave him he felt that he still has a long journey in front of him.

He was pumped and excited about it, but then he remembered the problem he was facing so he decided to ask the system about it.

« what are the possibilities of me getting injured once again in my back, » asked Walker

[the possibilities are not high it is about 5%] the system response

He felt relieved when he heard that.

« and if I got injured in the same place once again. what are the possibilities for me to get back on my legs,» asked Walker with anticipation

[not high it's about 20% chance] the system replied

« is it with your help or without it ?» asked Walker

[without my help, it's impossible to fix even with my help the chances are small] the system answered

Walker starts to think again about the problem he was facing.

If Walker decides to believe in what the system said then he would choose to continue playing basketball since he's sure that with his hard work and the system he will reach greatness.

And if he took to into account the consequences and the likelihood of him getting injured once again even if the chances of his injury to recur is 5 % he would choose to quit basketball, because who would have thought that an athletic guy would be on a wheelchair after a bump.

While Walker was still in dispute of what to do his phone ring

It was an alarm it was time for his part-time job.

When he saw the alarm, he remembered Henry who was also an American Football player in college, but due to him having a repeated injury he retired before going to the NFL.

So walker decided that Henry's opinion would be a decision maker because he didn't want to waste his time with this problem to focus either on basketball or his life without basketball and that the decision that he will take he will never regret.
