I looked at the scripture in horror, the creatures coming through were mostly low leveled martial beasts compared to what my past self used to fight, however they would be enough to murder my family and everyone else on this planet... if I wasn't here that is. The problem however was that monsters from not only my original world but from higher worlds started to appear that even I would not be able to defeat, and creatures that appeared to be like variations of monsters that I knew. No monsters above the heavenly master realm however considering a Mortal Venerate realm should be able to destroy an entire country in this world, humanity would stand no chance

Xin: HOW?! HOW THE HELL IS HUMANITY EXPECTED TO SURVIVE?!

Voice: ALONG WITH STRANGE MONSTERS, COME STRANGE HEROES TO COMBAT THESE MONSTERS

I then saw humans with vastly enhanced abilities appearing out of nowhere, it was as if they all gained a series of random cultivation techniques, people appeared with the monks techniques to harden their bodies, I saw some who practiced elemental cultivation techniques and called them spells, it seemed like humans were gaining these abilities based on aptitude and luck. the most important thing however was that my family seemed affected too. I saw my mother and father practicing complementary techniques while Yuechan appeared with a spiritual weapon infused with divine power... it was incredible

Xin: But this is not enough, with just these paltry techniques they can do nothing but delay their own destruction, how the hell did this even come about?! these creatures do not exist in this universe.  

Voice: YOU OUR HOST HAVE CAUSED THIS... YOUR WISH MAY HAVE BEEN FULFILLED BUT BY UNAUTHORIZED USAGE OF DIMENSIONAL TRAVEL YOU HAVE LEFT A BREACH INTO YOUR NEW WORLD TO INFINITE WORLDS!

I did this? how? a word stuck out to me in that whole sentence.

Xin: Unauthorized? I received permission from the reincarnation pool! 

Voice: THE POOL IS A COG IN A VERY LARGE MACHINE, YOU WOULD REQUIRE HIGHER AUTHORITY.

This was fascinating, in terms of overall importance the pool could've ranked number 1 in my universe. it was a constant that was tied to the very existence of life.

Voice: WE TIRE NOW, CLEAN YOUR MISTAKE HOST... OR LOSE YOUR FAMILY

With that being said the mysterious voice disappeared along with the images it showed me

Xin: A cataclysm event about to befall this universe in 12 years huh? Good... It's been a while since I've had an actual challenge, I would need to become stronger... strong enough to protect my family, and maybe that's what family is all about.

I woke up in my fathers arms as he was yelling at every doctor he could see

Dad: WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NOTHING WRONG?! HE PASSED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALL, YOU BETTER CURE HIM OR I SWEAR TO GOD THIS CITY WILL BURN!!!!!

Xin: Papa... I am feeling better.

My father looked to me the instant he heard my voice, he stared for a couple seconds before bursting into tears 

Dad: MY DARLING BOY! ARE YOU OK?! HOW ARE YOU FEELING

Xin: Papa... too loud

My father acting in character turned to the head of the hospital who was profusely sweating in anxiety at my fathers outrage

Dad: HEY! did you not hear my boy you sack of bones?! he said it's too loud so shut down the hospital... COMPLETE SILENCE! if he complains about so much as a pin dropping then it's your head

I giggled, my father may have sounded like an irredeemable villain here but I knew best that he would never actually carry out with his threats on the innocent, he always just took extreme measures as an apology whenever he was in the wrong; In a way this quality could be one of heroes.

I came to the realization then that Yuechan and my mother were also in the room but Yuechan was being comforted by my mother after it looked like she had fallen asleep crying

Xin: Mama, why does Sisi look sad?

Mom: Oh sweetie, Yuechan felt awful, she felt that she was too excited when carrying you around the school and that was what made you pass out, honestly sweetie we could have taken him to my lab and helped him much more efficiently than this primitive hospital

The doctor was obviously annoyed that his state of the art hospital which was no doubt the best in the nation was referred to as primitive. He held in his annoyance both because he knew my father could tear the hospital down with a single word and that it was the truth, my mother was simply too amazing.

Seeing Yuechan in such distress over my well being however made me have a sudden realization, I had been prioritizing my desire for a "normal" family life over all else this past year had even been trying to think of ways to get stronger without raising suspicions from my family, never once acknowledging the fact that I was the reason my loving family was in this situation in the first place. Meanwhile Yuechan was not even responsible for my current situation but still beat herself up over possibly causing me harm, my father ran himself ragged to try and fight for my well being, and my mother comforted my sister while holding in her own worries as a parent... I was selfish; I did not deserve a normal family life, I had brought this harm upon them without prioritizing them first. I was ashamed at myself and made a promise right ther

Xin: 'I don't care who finds out about my power, I don't care whether they think of me as a monster... the purpose of a family is to prioritize their safety above your own peace of mind and I will protect them from anything that dares to harm them'

With the oath sealed in my mind I nuzzled into my fathers shoulder and fell asleep, being a toddler sure was taxing. before I fell asleep though I sent a message to Zi Lin and Xiao Ya before falling asleep however.

Xin: Zi Lin, Xiao Ya... We will need to get stronger... a feast is coming your way after all

I could feel the excitement from Xiao Ya and Zi Lin, to be trapped as these inferior forms after being able to devour whole solar systems before was the peak of embarrassment 

*4 Years Later, Yin family mansion*

I looked at myself in the mirror, it was finally time to show myself off to the world. my well styled black and purple hair when coupled with the uniform I asked my father for made me look like a well off firstborn child. my lightly tanned but somehow pale skin had not a flaw on it. I walked down the stairs to see the family I so cherished at the table eating a full course breakfast

Yuechan: OH MY GOD!!! BABY BROOOOOO, You look sooooooo cool!!!

Yuechans deep purple eyes were sparkling as she stared at me, I walked to my seat and had one of my fathers goons get down on his forearms and knees while the other pulled out my chair. I had gotten used to this routine by this point, I stepped onto the back of the one who was down on the floor then sat in my seat. To quote my father I did this to "both show your utter superiority over those meat shields and to let them feel important, they basically worship me and my family as the only true rulers" when I asked him if they were originally a group he made why he could treat them so horribly he told me "I didn't try to create them my darling boy, I basically just destroyed every cult or gang that challenged me and the remnants started following me" 

I was surprised that my father wasn't here actually, given the significance of this day I expected him to come full force with a parade pr something, maybe even making the president address the people. I soon found out why he was late however when I heard him yelling in the other room

Dad: WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY WERE SELLING HARD DRUGS 10 MILES FROM BABY XIN'S SCHOOL?! DO THOSE BASTARDS HAVE A DEATH WISH?! PUTTING MY PRECIOUS BOY IN DANGER!!! IMMEDIATELY EXECUTE THE WHOLE GANG!

I see, he appeared to be making sure absolutely everything was perfect. 

Mom: Sweet Xin? Are you excited? nervous? 

Xin: Honestly mom I'm just curious, I wonder what actual school is like

My mother did her patented egotistical laugh

Mom: that's a given, I remember my first day of school, I was so excited to learn new things... then I got there and found that the teacher was a simpleton who couldn't even work out how to correctly solve an extra dimensional hypercube and how to access them using basic quantum physics to show that 1+1=

Yuechan: MOMMMMM *puffs cheeks* You're  making baby bro not excited for school!

Xiao Ya and Zi Lin had gotten quite attached to my sister and also puffed their cheeks out at my mother while she laughed in embarrassment. Zi Lin and Xiao Ya comforted me

Zi Lin: It's okay master, you have never been to school so the experience will be what you go for

Xiao Ya: Yeah! as if any puny mortal school could teach our master anything, you should be teaching them 

I laughed at the antics of my family before starting to eat breakfast

And just like that the morning had started. the average morning of the 5 year old preparing for a cataclysm
