Everyone was shocked at that and didn´t know what to say.
Igneel continued talking, “Each of these children have lost their families. Each of us found them by coincidence and after some time we grew attached to them and decided to adopt them.”
The mentioned children were staring at Aversia and Zeldaris.
Natsu´s eyes were glimmering like stars, Gajeel had smile on his face and looked like he wanted to fight them and Wendie was trembling and was clearly afraid and tears were already visible in her eyes.
“As for teaching them dragon slayer magic, each of us had different reasons. Also, before you ask no we did not know that the others were also doing the same thing and thought out about it when the three of us and some other dragons had a meeting to talk about Acnologia.”, continued Grandine.
“Now this is something that I thought that I would never see. The two calamities don’t know what to say.”, said someone.
As they turned around, they saw three people approaching.
One was Irene who was now wearing a simple shirt and pants.
Her face was completely covered by scales now and was even covering her shoulders and partially her chest.
But the biggest change was that she was now much happier then when she was queen and was also more relaxed.
As for the child growing inside of her.
Irene decided that the current time was not ideal for a child and decided to stop the growing of the child with an enchantment and would only stop it when they had solved their problems.
To her left was Tia, who was wearing a simple blue dress.
Her arms were covered by long cloves, because most of her hands were covered by scales and her nails looked more like claws.
She had a gloomy look on her face, because she couldn`t get in touch with her relatives and even after sending multiple letters did she get no reply.
To Irene´s right was a tall man with lightly tanned skin.
He had brought shoulders and short brown hair and wore a light armor made of leather.
It was Belserion, Challot and Emrissen had changed their approach of teaching Belserion after a month of trying and decided to try and make an enchant version of it.
After another two months did they finally succeed, but there were a few problems as such not having no feeling of taste, not being able to sleep and a constant cold and itchy feeling.
Challot and Emrissen could not help with it and decided to leave it to Irene and Tia, who were surprised when the two threw the human Belserion before their feet and said that he was their problem now.
It took the three of them another two months to finally fix the enchant and get rid of all side effects, both the original and the ones they created accidently.
“AH. Aunt Irene, Aunt Tia and Uncle Bel-.”, said both Aversia and Zeldaris, but Belserion stopped them by putting a finger before his mouth.
The two grinned and nodded to Belserion.
The three dragons didn´t know why but that male human beside Irene gave them a very familiar feeling.
Belserion chuckled and said, “I know I look different, but have you forgotten how to greet an old friend or is that now normal for our kind.”
The second they heard his voice did they realize who he was.
“BELSERION!”, yelled all three of them.
“But I thought that you could not learn the magic that let you take a human form.”, said Igneel.
“Unexpected”, said Metalicana.
“If it was the normal spell? Yes. But what if you change it into an enchantment? Although, we needed to get rid of a few problems.? Also, could you say more than only ‘Unexpected’ Metalicana?”, said Belserion while laughing, but at the end had an empty look.
“We are not sorry!”, said Challot, while Metalicana didn´t say anything or reacted to Belserion´s comment.
Belserion tried not to react to this.
The dragons could only imagine what he had to go through and pitied him.
“Now, now, everything worked out in the end. OK, let’s change the topic and let’s talk about the other reason that you came here.”, said Irene while calming Belserion down.
“Hahaha. As expected of the former queen of Dragnof. Yes, we had another reason for coming here and that is that the six and some friends of us want to start living here.”, said Igneel.
Again, everyone was shocked, and their mouths were almost touching the ground.
They expected much, but not this.
“If that’s what you want, then there is no problem, but may I ask who your friends would be and how many would come?”, asked Irene.
“Our friends are two dragons, who also have adopted a child each and are teaching them dragon slayer magic and a woman.”, said surprisingly Metalicana.
“She is the teacher of the 5 children and is also a very wonderful mage.”, added Grandine.
“That should be no problem. We will arrange everything, but first, how about we show you around the village?”, said Belserion.
The three dragons looked at each other, nodded and agreed.
When Irene and the others wanted to start their tour through the village did they notice two things.
Vulcan was staring at Natsu´s scarf and Tia was staring with an unbelieving look in her eyes at Wendy.
Wendy was even more scared by this and buried her face in Grandine´s feathers, while Grandine was looking confused at Tia.
As for Natsu he was still to occupied with staring at Zeldaris and Aversia and didn´t notice Vulcan´s stare.
Igneel wasn´t worried about Vulcan´s behavior at all.
“Quit staring you idiot!”, yelled Emrissen and punched him on the head.
“Ouch, that hurts. That was uncalled for. I was just looking at the scarf, because it is made of dragon scales.”, said Vulcan while holding his head.
Challot, Emrissen, Aversia and Zeldaris were surprised at that and took a closer look at Natsu´s scarf and indeed his scarf was made of white scales.
Aversia and Zeldaris looked confused at Vulcan and their mothers.
“His scarf is made of dragon scales that fell of. When dragon scales fall of, they lose their color and their magic, but they still can store magic inside of them. The reason that Vulcan didn´t told you this earlier was because they are not good as ingredients for armor or for enchantments, because they are only useful as containers for magic. The parts that Vulcan needs are from a corpse that still has magic flowing through it, or from a living dragon”, said Challot.
“But I must ask who made that scarf, because I don’t believe that you were knitting a scarf in human size. Although that would have been very funny.”, added Emrissen.
“It was his teacher that made that scarf out of my scales.”
“And who is that mysterious teacher?”, asked Vulcan.
“Her name is Anna Heartfilia and she is celestial spirit mage.”
“Wait, what? A celestial spirit mage, you mean a mage that uses keys to summon spirits. Does she have any of the zodiac keys? Does she know anything about the rumored 13th key?”, asked both Aversia and Zeldaris when they heard Igneel´s answer.
The two continued to bombard him with questions and Igneel tried to answer them as good as he could but was simply to overwhelmed by the sheer number of questions.
Emrissen, Challot and Vulcan just watched with a smile on their faces and Natsu didn´t understand what was happening and watched, while holding his scarf.
Meanwhile, Irene asked Tia if everything was alright.
But Tia didn’t answer and continued to stare at Wendy.
It took Tia a few minutes to snap out of it and asked, “What is your name little girl?”
“M-My name is W-Wendy Wendy Marwell.”, said Wendy.
Tia´s face became even more white but continued to ask questions.
It turned out that Wendy was Tia´s cousin and that her parents died while protecting her from bandits.
After Tia´s letter arrived, planned Wendy´s parents to visit Tia, but didn´t wrote a reply, because it was meant as a surprise.
But on the way where they attacked by bandits and Wendy´s parents hid her away, while distracting the bandits.
Wendy was not discovered and came only out after the bandits left, only to find her parents dead.
Shortly after was Wendy found by Grandine, who didn´t want to abandon her.
(AN: It was never stated how any of the dragon slayers were found by their dragons, except Natsu, because of course.)
After hearing Wendy´s story, cried Tia and hugged her little cousin, which made Wendy also starting to cry.
Grandine, Irene and Belserion also just watched and didn´t interfere.
Metalicana and Gajeel watched both sides and felt a little left out.
