*10 minutes later*

I arrived at the Scorpion Den's entrance and saw Niphyala their waiting for me at the entrance I was confused as to what she was going to talk to me about, 'What exactly did you want to tell me?' I asked

'I wanted to tell you the layout of the dungeon and how those undead bastards came to be' she said, after a short pause to compose herself she continued

"You see I am under the distinct impression that you know next to nothing about the floors of this dungeon, how they and the monsters inhabit them, are created and how to DESTROY the dungeon"

I nodded to confirm her assumption

she sighed deeply and then began to speak, "Alright then, allow me to explain to you the workings of a dungeon, Ahem",

she took a deep breath before starting

"You see a dungeon is created and controlled by a dungeon master who has the dungeon function virtually as his soul, he can respawn if his physical body is killed, cast magic as a bonus of having his soul manifest in the physical plane, they can increase the power of their soul by consuming other beings souls and summon monsters from magic for example those monster were created from magic being turned into flesh parts and having the dungeon master form them into homunculi's and zombie, if they eat enough souls then they can reach apotheosis and begin to actually create their dungeon most dungeon masters become Liches beforehand to prolong there lives long enough to reach this point, a dungeon master can also communicate with others and generally have meetings regarding the creation of spells, monsters, enchantment and sharing information etc, generally a dungeon is only around 20 floors containing mostly B-rank monster in the lowest floors due to how much it costs to create a floor and its monsters, however we're not in an ordinary we're in the Tomb of Zarkiya otherwise know as the 'Death Lord' this dungeon has a total of 262 floors we're on the 80th you'll see alot of A+ and S- ranked monster I myself am S+ that Giant Homunculi I was fighting was SS rank I have evaluated your rank between SS+ to SSS rank due to the amount of undead and Homunculi you killed and how much damage you did to that beast."

Wowsers that was alot, wasn't it?, and my status says that i'm barely a scrub tier monster! how can I be so strong? I know i'm pretty high level but still...wait...what if...my...status is basing these rankings off something different rather to monsters?...like...demons or angels...or [GODS]...NAAAAH i'd never be that great!!! I mean, I was pretty strong back home but even so!!! There's no way right!!! Yeah let's just say it's dumb luck...I got sidetracked didn't I? Back to the plot.

'Ok so what I got from from that was: Dungeon master are strong, the one who controls this dungeon is the strongest one of all of them, they can cast magic, summon armies and have group therapy sessions every once in a while is that it?' Niphyala had a semi-disgusted look on her face due to my overly over simplified explanation but answered with barely suppressed irritation in her voice

"That is correct my lord, though I do not know what you mean by 'Group Therapy sessions' but for the most part you correct in your explanation" pondering on the subject of magic I asked a her a question on the topic of it

'Can everyone use magic?' she responded suppressing her laughter trying to keep the conversation serious

"No my lord, only certain monsters, races and individual outliers can use magic due to them needing to have either A. a connection to mana through the environment. B. a connection to a god or being powerful enough to give them their mana. or C. a magical core most monsters have option C or B but it's unheard of for them to have A due to the properties of there cores poisoning the surrounding environment the same goes for the 'sentient' races having C there are exceptions however such as: Dragons, Demons, Fae and supposedly Deities and High End Eldritch but those last two are simply rumours" ok you know i'm actually getting a little skeptical at how she knows so much about this she was seemingly born here, in a place without book and only telepathic thoughts and words of mouth, so I asked the simple yet complex question

'How do you know all of this?' she paused and a long silence began, this was unusual for her behaviour, so I repeated the question, slower this time

'How.Do.You.Know.All.Of.This???' she stuttered almost shaking

'Ma..Ma..Ma.. My lord p..please do not think ill of me for this but that information is rather sensitive...' OK not gonna press this until she wants to come out about it, engage evasive manoeuvres!

'Ahem well then, what magic can you use and can you teach me any?' at that she went wide eyed

'why would you want to learn magic? I thought you were more of a physical fighter?' I responded frankly

'I am, however not learning such a useful thing as magic is absolutely insane' she then replied in an equally frank manner

"Alright, I will teach you as much as I can, but I have some condition you must agree to #1. you are not allowed to EVER use necromancy, become a dungeon master or use slave magic #2. you cannot use the magic upon me or my children #3. use the magic I teach you to help me and my children kill Zarkiya and escape this, these terms are non-negotiable and must be adhered to this will later be put into a magically binding contract do you understand?" I replied smiling

'I agree'
